Junior driver A Cameron (PHILADELPHIA FILLY), assisted by G Smith, admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the home. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Miss Cameron's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 17 February up to and including 6 March 2024 (5 days).

EDGE SHEERAN - held up early and middle stages of the run home. Driver N Munro advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence. Mr Munro was warned for contacting a track marker rounding the final bend.
SOUTHERN STARR - connections advised the mare has been treated for a lung infection since last racing.
LOUIE VISTA - driver J Buckland-Stevens admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mrs Buckland-Stevens Amateur Driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 17 March 2024 (1 month).
RADIOACTIVE JAFFA - broke near the 1400m after a slight easing of the pace and lost ground with trailing runners being hampered.
PURE COURAGE - lay outwards early in the run home and shifted up the track placing an outside runner in restricted room. Continued to shift outwards in the run home before pacing roughly near the 50m. Driver C Wigg defended a breach of Rule 869(4) and the Home Straight Regulations alleging she failed to maintain a straight course in the run home resulting in ARIZONAWILDCAT being placed in restricted room and hampered near the 200m. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions from Stewards and Ms Wigg, the Adjudicative Committee dismissed the charge.
ARIZONAWILDCAT - placed in restricted room early in the run home when PURE COURAGE lay outwards. Hampered near the 200m when PURE COURAGE continued to shift wider.
FORTY WIVES - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1400m.

Race 7   JD & LISA FROM DEVLIN GROUP REAL ESTATE TROT
LOVE WALKED IN - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after starting in Race 2 and was cleared to race. Broke at the start losing ground. Authorisation of 1st placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
RUSH - when questioned regarding the manner in which he drove in the run home driver G Smith advised the mare had trotted roughly when being shifted inwards to utilise the passing lane and continued to trot unevenly for the remainder of the run home. Mr Smith added that given the horse's previous tendency to break in the run home, he was reluctant to place the horse under any additional pressure. After reviewing the racing record of the mare and considering Mr Smith's explanation, Stewards took the matter no further other than to remind him that he must not drive in a manner which leaves him open to query.
EYRE I WILL - broke at the start losing ground. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
TARUKENGA - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Broke shortly after the start losing ground.
MENTALIST - swung around as the start was effected losing all chance and was retired from the race. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
PATRICK SWAYZE - junior driver R Harrison was warned for striking track markers rounding the final bend.
PLAY DOUGH - broke rounding the final bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
