Race 1   CAVALIER TROTTING PRODUCTS - NORTH CANTERBURY TROTTING TROT
ROLLIE IN SHOT - connections advised the mare has been treated for a respiratory infection since last racing. Lay inwards and struck a track marker rounding the final bend. Trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
DIAMOND HARBOUR - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Trotted roughly passing the 850m.
DANCING GLENIS - broke at the start losing ground.
ROYAL YANKEE - trotted roughly near the 200m.
HOOFN IT - broke after 200m losing all chance.
CASITA BELLA - broke at the start hampering a trailing runner losing ground. Struck a number of track markers when momentarily placed in restricted room racing into the first bend when trotting roughly. Broke again near the 1100m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
SOLEMN SON - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Trotted roughly rounding the final bend when weakening.
Race 2   COUNTRY FEASTS LTD MOBILE PACE
VICTOR LUSTIG - weakened rounding the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver R Close advised that the gelding had to work too hard in the early and middle stages which had taken its toll.
MAGIE DO - connections advised the mare will be racing without front shoes. Checked by a breaking runner shortly after the start losing ground.
ITZ ALL FIRED UP - broke as the start was effected and shifted inwards checking trailing runners losing ground. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.
LAY ON MACDUFF - weakened passing the 500m.
PACIFIC THUNDER - weakened passing the 400m.
OCEAN BREEZE - when questioned regarding the improved performance driver G O'Reilly advised the mare had been making abnormal breathing noise at its previous start when over-racing and underwent a veterinary examination and he elected to race in a more forward position today which he felt would be more beneficial for the mare.
ALTA SHOWGIRL - checked by a breaking runner shortly after the start losing ground. Lay inwards and had to be straightened by its driver near the 250m.
RAKERO SCOTTY - checked by a breaking runner shortly after the start losing ground.
Race 3   RANGIORA NEW WORLD PACE
A false start was declared when JIMMYRAY lay inwards just prior to the start resulting in WHATABLAZE being crowded and denied a fair start.
WHATABLAZE - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
JIMMYRAY - connections advised the gelding has had its hocks treated since last racing.
DARE DEVIL - began awkwardly.
PLAY PHILLY - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home. Driver R Close advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
Race 4   SHORE DELLOW ACCOUNTANTS LTD (FILLIES & MARES) HANDICAP TROT
DIEDRE FRANCO - broke briefly near the 150m and again near the 75m.
NOAH MAGNIFIC - raced wide early. Weakened rounding the final bend.
A LATE LATE PRESSY - broke at the start hampering a trailing runner losing all chance.
SINNER COOL - connections advised the mare has been treated for muscle tie-up since last racing. Broke near the 1600m losing ground. Broke again near the 1100m losing ground.
TO HILL AND BACK - hampered by a breaking runner after 100m and broke losing all chance. Cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
SILVERLININGS - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1500m.
MISSALYSSA - broke racing over the crossing near the 1500m hampering a trailing runner losing ground.
Race 5   CANTERBURY BREEDERS (JOAN BELCHER LEGACY) MOBILE PACE
KAWATIRI CREEK - held up rounding the final bend and struck a track marker. Driver R May was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for contacting a track marker. Mr May reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 700m.
EYES TO HEAVEN - raced wide early.
FREEDOMS BEAUTY - driver K Butt reported the bit had slipped through the mare's mouth during the running placing her at a disadvantage.
JOHANNA ARDEN - broke near the 1600m losing all chance. A post-race veterinary examination at the request of the connections revealed the mare had suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance including the results of an ECG prior to completing one satisfactory trial before resuming.
GOOD TIME BETTY - raced wide from the 900m.
GEM N EM - shifted outwards near the 700m and struck the sulky wheel of KAWATIRI CREEK which punctured. Held up early in the run home. Junior driver S Thornley, who declined assistance from a Senior driver, admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly when shifting ground near the 700m. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250.
Race 6   G.K. FYFE PAINTING "MAKING IT HAPPEN" PACE
EBURY STREET - broke briefly at the start. Over-raced middle stages. Held up early in the run home when continuing to over-race.
KILAUEA - broke at the start hampering a trailing runner losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Over-raced middle stages.
ON REPORT - held up early in the run home. Hampered when inside runners locked wheels near the 50m.
A DANCING ROCKA - paced roughly near the 600m.
ABSOLUTE DYNAMITE - locked wheels with BLUE ROCK DANCER near the 50m with both runners shifting ground outwards hampering an outside runner. Stewards questioned drivers J Dunn (ABSOLUTE DYNAMITE) and B Hope (BLUE ROCK DANCER) in relation to this incident and after hearing from both drivers and viewing the replays, it was established that ABSOLUTE DYNAMITE had lay outwards marginally simultaneously to BLUE ROCK DANCER attempting a marginal run and Stewards were unable to apportion blame onto any one horse or driver with no further action deemed necessary.
BLUE ROCK DANCER - held up early in the run home. Shifted outwards near the 250m and struck the sulky wheel of COUNTRY GOLD which punctured. Locked wheels with ABSOLUTE DYNAMITE near the 50m with both runners shifting ground outwards hampering an outside runner. Driver B Hope admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly near the 250m when shifting ground and after viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300.
COUNTRY GOLD - driver T Williams reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 250m.
FRANCO NEWPORT - lay inwards and had to be straightened by its driver near the 150m.
JUSTA DIVA - hampered by a breaking runner at the start.
Race 7   GLENN SCOTT MEMORIAL TROT
DIDJABRINGTHEBUBBLES - briefly hampered by a breaking runner near the 500m.
TAKE AFTER ME - briefly hampered by a breaking runner near the 500m.
RACHMANINOV - broke at the start and shifted inwards checking trailing runners losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
GINAS MAJESTY - trotted roughly and lost ground passing the 1100m. Held up early in the run home.
SUPERFAST GORSEY - briefly hampered by a breaking runner near the 500m.
OUR PEGASUS PEARL - broke at the start losing all chance.

FERGALICIOUS - held up early in the run home.
RHYME N REASON - paced roughly near the 150m. Junior driver W House was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
VINCENT VEGA - weakened in the run home.
FLYAWAY - lay inwards rounding the final bend placing an inside runner in restricted room despite the efforts of driver S O'Reilly and made contact with the hind leg of BARNSTORMER. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
WHITE STAR ORLANDO - held up late in the run home.
BARNSTORMER - placed in restricted room rounding the final bend by an outside runner and paced roughly.
STRIKE ME HANDSOME - cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 9   RANGIORA EQUINE SERVICES AMBERLEY CUP (HCP PACE)
KISS THE GIRLS - co-trainers D & A Jones were issued a warning for being late to notify the gelding would be racing without the notified blinds. Held up middle stages of the run home and shifted ground outwards near the 75m crowding DASHING MAJOR with outside runners being hampered. Driver R Close admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly when shifting ground and after viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Close's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 9 February up to and including 17 February 2024 (3 days).
GET UP N DANCE - hampered near the 75m when an inside runner shifted outwards.
BUCKSKIN - hampered near the 75m when an inside runner shifted outwards.
HEZA SPORT - broke briefly at the start.
DOUBLE TIME - broke briefly at the start.
WHEELS OF FORTUNE - broke briefly at the start.
DASHING MAJOR - crowded near the 75m when KISS THE GIRLS shifted outwards hampering outside runners.

SODS LAW - lay inwards rounding the final bend striking a track marker. Held up throughout the run home. Driver J Geddes advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
FEEL THE MOMENT - driver J Dunn advised he did not activate the removable deafeners or sliding blinds due to having the field covered.
THE ROYAL GAMBLE - held up early in the run home.
GAZZA BEATT - over-raced throughout. Shifted outwards passing the 800m when over-racing and briefly locked wheels with VERTIGO. Despite the horse over-racing driver A Tomlinson was warned for the manner in which she shifted ground.
VERTIGO - briefly locked wheels with GAZZA BEATT near the 800m.
Race 11   TYRE GENERAL AMBERLEY MOBILE PACE
SIR MONTY - held up middle stages of the run home.
MISTER BLUE SKY - driver C Ferguson reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre rounding the final bend.
DULCINEA - lost ground after a slight easing of the pace passing the 500m before running on strongly over the concluding stages.
BETTOR REACTION - raced wide early.
WHAT A MINX - held up early in the run home.
KING ARTHUR - over-raced throughout. Shifted outwards near the 300m simultaneously to MISTER BLUE SKY shifting out and contacted the sulky wheel of MISTER BLUE SKY before breaking and losing all chance. Stewards questioned junior driver A Cameron (assisted by B Orange) regarding this incident and after considering her explanation and viewing the replays, a warning was placed on the racing record of KING ARTHUR.
Race 12   DAWE CONTRACTING LTD - DAVIS OGILVIE MOBILE PACE
TO RI RUBY - hung inwards rounding the first bend striking track markers.
PERAKI REACTOR - held up late in the run home. Driver R May advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
LADY BOUTIQUE - held up late in the run home.
RADIOACTIVE JAFFA - held up over the concluding stages. Driver R Close advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
