IMPERIAL COMMAND - out of position at the candy pole. Driver A Clark was issued with a warning.
ORLANDO EXPRESS - driver C Dalgety advised the removable deafeners were not activated due to having the field covered.
ONE EL - briefly hampered early in the score up. Broke in the middle stages of the score up losing all chance. Authorisation of placings was withheld until Stewards had spoken to driver J Curtin to ascertain whether he had been denied a fair start. Mr Curtin advised although the horse had been hampered after leaving the pre-race formation it had broken as a result of its own manners and he elected not to proceed with the matter. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
BRIANNA - shifted inwards early in the score up briefly hampering an inside runner. Over-raced early stages.
Race 2   AIRPARK CANTERBURY MOBILE PACE
QUEEN OF SWORDS - weakened from the 400m. When questioned regarding the performance driver K Newman advised he was not disappointed considering the filly was racing up in grade from its last start.
TIDE AND TIME - raced keenly when leading through the early and middle stages.
BETTOR BE SHARP - driver G O'Reilly reported a sulky tyre punctured during the running after his horse had struck its own sulky wheel.
WARRIOR CHIEF - hampered by a weakening runner near the 450m.
DANCING DESIRE - raced wide early. Broke passing the 800m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
BRYCE'S MEDDLE - raced wide early. Over-raced middle stages. Paced roughly passing the 700m.
STEPHS BOY - broke briefly early in the score up however was in position at the start.
AARDIE B MIKI - weakened from the 450m hampering a trailing runner. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams advised he was disappointed and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.

ULTIMATE SEISATION - over-raced middle stages. Held up early in the run home.
ADDISON MARIE - held up leaving the final bend.
BRYSON DECHAMBEAU - raced wide early.
Payment of dividends was delayed until Stewards had reviewed the official photo finish and confirmed the Judge's placings.

SCARLETT'S LEGACY - had to be steadied near the 950m after a slight easing of the pace. Held up leaving the final bend.
HONEST LIES - had to be steadied near the 950m after a slight easing of the pace.
COURTNEY ROSE - driver B Butt defended a breach of Rule 869(4)(6)(b)(c) alleging he shifted outwards near the 1500m forcing MEMORIES N HEAVEN to race wider on the track. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Butt, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and imposed a fine of $200.
MEMORIES N HEAVEN - forced wider on the track when COURTNEY ROSE shifted outwards near the 1500m. Broke passing the 1300m losing ground and hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Weakened final bend.
DOVER TERRACE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1300m. Weakened final bend.
KINK - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1300m.
Race 7   GARRARDS 'PREMIER MARES' CHAMPIONSHIP MOBILE PACE
FERNLEIGH BLACKBIRD - lay inwards near the 1450m striking a track marker. Driver K Green admitted a breach of Rule 869(7A)(a) in that she allowed her horse to strike several track markers leaving the final bend. After hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200.
CLASSIE LINC - raced wide early. Driver S Tomlinson advised the sliding blinds had failed to activate due to the cord becoming entangled.
BOUDICA - struck track markers leaving the final bend. Driver R May will be spoken to regarding this in the coming days.
ALLAMERICANLOVER - co-trainer A Telfer advised the mare has had a fetlock treated since last racing. Raced wide early and middle stages. Paced roughly passing the 375m.
DANCE TILL DAWN - over-raced middle stages.

LADY OF THE LIGHT - trainer J Young admitted a breach of Rule 823(3) and the Horse Movement Regulation in that he failed to lodge a Horse Movement Notification to trainer S McRae. After hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300. Raced wide early.
Race 8   AVON CITY FORD MOBILE TROT
REGAL SIERRA - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
STYX JEWEL - hung outwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Briefly trotted roughly passing the 150m.
PARIS PRINCE - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
TU TANGATA - trotted roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Briefly held up early in the run home.
Race 9   THE TYRE GENERAL (JUNIOR DRIVERS) MOBILE PACE
GATECRASHER - weakened leaving the final bend.
MILOU - junior driver D van Til (assisted by B Butt) admitted a breach of Rule 869(7A)(a) in that she allowed her horse to strike several track markers leaving the final bend with one being dislodged resulting in a trailing runner being checked and breaking. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200.
ARIZONAWILDCAT - raced four wide from the 800m. Junior driver B Fodie (assisted by M Williamson) was shown the replays of the final 350m of the race and issued a warning for using her whip on a runner out of contention and in a continuous manner in the run home.
TOBY TOM B - raced wide early.
XLENDI - raced five wide for a distance passing the 600m.
RUBY'S A DELIGHT - broke after racing over a dislodged track marker leaving the final bend losing all chance.
FRANCO TIM - weakened final bend.
ABSOLUTE DYNAMITE - raced four wide from the 1000m. Paced roughly near the 900m. Driver R Harrison advised she sustained a punctured sulky tyre during the running.
Race 10   GOLD BAND TAXIS MOBILE PACE
EASTWOOD DREAM - hampered by a weakening runner near the 500m.
REFINE - weakened passing the 500m hampering a trailing runner and hung inwards striking track markers rounding the final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
ROCKNROLL DIVA - struck and dislodged several track markers rounding the final bend when crowded by an outside runner. When questioned regarding the improved performance trainer T Yesberg advised the mare had raced wide at its last start and had been suited tonight by a favourable draw and receiving an economical run throughout.
ELEPHANTINTHEROOM - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and declared a late scratching on Veterinary advice at 6.35pm. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
JUDGEMENT BAY - lay outwards leaving the final bend and shifted up the track after driver S Thornley had activated the removable deafeners.
MICHAEL CAINE - hung outwards in the score up and was out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver M Holbrough. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Lay inwards near the 250m. Junior driver M Holbrough (assisted by B Hope) admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip in a continuous manner in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Miss Holbrough's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 4 February up to and including 9 February 2024 (2 days).
COUNTRY GOLD - raced wide from the 1100m. Struck the sulky wheel of ELITE STYX near the 250m despite the efforts of driver J Dunn when attempting to shift away from MICHAEL CAINE which had lay inwards.
MIGHTY REACTOR - broke briefly leaving the final bend losing ground.
WOLF OF WALL STREET - hung inwards rounding the final bend crowding an inside runner which struck several track markers. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
