Authorisation of placings was withheld until Stewards had spoken to driver J Curtin to ascertain whether he had been denied a fair start. Mr Curtin advised although the horse had been hampered after leaving the pre-race formation it had broken as a result of its own manners and he elected not to proceed with the matter.
