TASHS BAD GIRL - raced wide early.
ARLO MAGUIRE - held up leaving the final bend.
Race 2   AON INSURANCE HANDICAP TROT
FATHER ON DOWN - trotted roughly in the early stages before breaking passing the 1700m, hampering a trailing runner and losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
QUERCUS RUBRA - fractious prior to the start.
OUR SUPERFUND - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
DIGNIFY - hampered by a breaking runner passing the 1700m. Held up leaving the final bend and through the early and middle stages of the run home.
HENNESSY - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.

STILTON LORD - lay in final bend contacting track markers. Driver T Robertson was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion leaving the final bend.
BETTER BE WATCHING - over-raced in the parked position when being restrained to take cover near the 1800m, hampering trailing runners. Continued to over-race through the middle stages. Driver P Hunter was warned for the manner he eased the pace near the 1800m.
TUNEINSPORTSFANS - driver B Orange reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
COLD PURSUIT - late scratching on veterinary advice at 8.30am.
CALIFORNIA DREAMING - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
ROBYNS ART - hampered by an easing of the pace near the 1800m.
OH MICKY - raced wide early.
MECHANICAL BULL - hampered by an easing of the pace near the 1800m.
LEDGER'S MAID - held up final bend.
DUKE OF SCOTLAND - hampered by an easing of the pace near the 1800m.
THE MAESTRO - broke in the score up however was in position at the start. Briefly hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
CHEMMY - broke near the 1800m, losing all chance. After speaking with driver R Austin who advised the mare was over-racing at the time and had galloped due to its own manners, a warning was placed on the racing record of the horse.
Race 4   MOSSDALE STANDARDBREDS MOBILE PACE
LORTON VALE - raced three wide without cover from the 800m. Weakened final bend.
DURRANT - when questioned regarding the performance driver O Kite advised he was not disappointed with the gelding as the race was not run to suit and he had found it difficult to make ground over the concluding stages.
WHATA RAZZLE DAZZLE - raced wide early.
NEK DELIGHT - held up in the latter stages of the run home. Driver S O'Reilly reported she did not release the removable deafeners as a consequence.
FRANCO HUNTINGTON - raced wide early.
ROBYNS HUSTLER - held up early stages of the run home.
Race 5   NEVILLE CLEAVER FISHING HANDICAP TROT
RUBY SEDDON - trotted roughly and broke over the concluding stages.
STEVE - broke at the start losing all chance.
SHANDON BELLS - locked sulky wheels with DONT ASK over the concluding stages.
AFTERBURNER - paced at the start having to be broken up by driver T Robertson losing all chance.
PORT PEGASUS - raced greenly on the bend near the 900m. Lost contact with the runner in front rounding the final bend hampering a trailing runner.
SALLY LINDENNY - broke at the start losing ground. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts. Lay in final bend contacting track markers.
DONT ASK - lay in over the concluding stages and locked sulky wheels with SHANDON BELLS.
JOHNS BOY - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
ABADABADO - trotted roughly in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised the mare had raced lethargically throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality.
Race 6   ILT / NORTHERN TAVERN MOBILE PACE
ARTMORE - weakened from the 700m hampering a trailing runner. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised the mare had travelled well during the running however had been disappointing over the concluding stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to initially have a high heart rate however recovered well.
CRUISING FONTANA - shifted ground shortly after the start hampering MACANDREW MARKUP which broke in consequence. Driver A Milne defended a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) alleging that he drove carelessly in this incident. After viewing replays and hearing evidence from the Stewards the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proven and following submissions on penalty suspended Mr Milne's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on the 28th January up to and including the 4th February 2024 (2 days).
FIRST LIGHT - raced wide early stages. Hampered by a weakening runner near the 600m.
SHUFFLE UP - driver M Hurrell was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
MACANDREW MARKUP - hampered and broke after 100m losing ground.
TRAIL BOSS - raced three wide with cover through the middle stages. Lay in at various stages of the run home having to be straightened by driver K Green.
POUNAMU - raced three wide without cover through the middle stages. Cleared from the Unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 7   PRYDES EASIFEED SOUTHERN LIGHTS (HANDICAP TROT)
AVEROSS MAJESTY - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Weakened final bend.
ANDY HALL - broke at the start losing ground. Locked sulky stays with MAJESTIC MAN rounding the final bend and broke in consequence, losing its chance.
ONE TWO MENNY - broke shortly after the start losing ground.
MAJESTIC MAN - lay in rounding the final bend and locked sulky stays with ANDY HALL.
Race 8   GRINALDI LODGE MOBILE PACE
MACANDREW NAVIGATOR - hampered by a breaking runner entering the first bend and broke in consequence, locking sulky stays with MR PRESIDENT. Weakened from the 500m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance including the results of an ECG before completing one trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
HE'S A MEISTER - hampered by a breaking runner entering the first bend. Shifted ground outwards near the 150m inconveniencing MR CASH MAN which had to steady briefly. Driver K Green was issued with a warning. In taking this course of action Stewards were satisfied there were no consequential effects.
NUTCRACKER - hampered by a breaking runner entering the first bend.
DANCING DESIRE - driver B Orange reported he did not activate the hopple shorteners due to the gelding racing more tractably today when previously it has had a tendency to pace roughly.
MR PRESIDENT - paced roughly and broke entering the first bend hampering outside runners and locking sulky stays with MACANDREW NAVIGATOR. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
OUTBACK MAN - hampered by a breaking runner entering the first bend.
MR CASH MAN - hampered by a breaking runner entering the first bend. Briefly steadied near the 150m.
STEP IT UP A NOTCH - hampered by a breaking runner entering the first bend and broke briefly.
Race 9   MACCA LODGE NORTHERN SOUTHLAND CUP (HANDICAP PACE)
ONE CHANGE - broke at the start and shifted out locking sulky wheels with OHOKA CONNOR, losing ground in consequence.
OHOKA CONNOR - locked sulky wheels with ONE CHANGE at the start. Weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams advised that the gelding had worked hard through the middle stages when racing in the parked position which had taken its toll and given this, he was not disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
SAND WAVE - a post-race veterinary examination at the request of trainer/driver N Williamson revealed the gelding to have grade 1 lameness in the left fore leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming. Mr Williamson advised he will have a further veterinary examination conducted on the horse in the coming days which Stewards will follow up.
Race 10   SSBA SOUTHERN BELLE (HEAT 1) MOBILE PACE
IDEAL DOUBLE - attempted to duck under the mobile arm when over-racing early in the score up. Driver S O'Reilly reported she sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 150m.
JOANIE MAGIC - placed in restricted room rounding the first bend when an outside runner lay inwards.
ADVANCE PARTY - lay in rounding the first bend placing an inside runner in restricted room.
INSARCHATWIST - raced wide early.
KAHLUA FLYBYE - driver T Williams reported he did not activate the sliding blinds due to having the field covered.
FERNLEIGH BLACKBIRD - driver K Green defended a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) alleging that she drove carelessly near the 150m when striking the sulky wheel of IDEAL DOUBLE which resulted in the tyre puncturing. The information was adjourned by the Adjudicative Committee to be heard at the Riverton meeting on the 28th January.
Race 11   NS VETS TOTAL VETCARE MOBILE PACE
QUADDIE VC - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
CLASSIC MISSION - raced wide early.
FUSION REACTOR - raced wide early. Paced roughly near the 600m when being shifted wider on the track, hampering a trailing runner.
SONG SUNG BLUE - raced wide early.
FIREFOREFIDDLE - over-raced through the middle stages.
STILLYOURSHOT - briefly hampered near the 600m and paced roughly in consequence.
