Driver R Close (SOCIAL DISTANCING) admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $400.

CHICA BELLA - lay inwards leaving the final bend and raced inside the final track marker prior to the passing lane. Authorisation of placings were withheld until Stewards were satisfied that the mare had not gained an advantage.
MOOSE MOROWSKI - when questioned regarding the performance driver R Close reported in his opinion the gelding had failed to back up from its last start on Friday.
SCARLETT'S LEGACY - held up throughout the run home. Driver G Smith advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
BET ON POLLY - paced roughly and broke briefly leaving the final bend losing ground.
COURTNEY ROSE - held up early in the run home.
Race 2   NELSON OTB/ESPRESSO CAR WASH TROT
KERRALLY - hampered by a weakening runner leaving the final bend.
JUST RICKY - driver K Gill was warned for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion and when out of contention in the run home.
POPNROCK - trotted roughly and lay outwards passing the 1000m losing ground.
ORLANDO EXPRESS - broke shortly after the start hampering a trailing runner losing ground.
CASITA BELLA - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Broke again near the 700m losing all chance. Trainer B Hill advised the bit on the mare had broken during the running with this gear being inspected and found to be in previously good condition.
HEARTBREAK HOTEL - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Broke again after 200m losing considerable ground. Weakened final bend. Driver G Smith was warned for using his whip when out of contention in the run home.
IDLE LILLY - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Hampered shortly after the start by a breaking runner. Weakened leaving the final bend hampering a trailing runner.

The start was delayed due to several horses becoming fractious with the field being turned out of line by the Starter.
RACINGMISSGRACIE - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Driver B Hope reported that he did not activate the removable deafeners or sliding blinds in consequence.
TAKE A SELFIE - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
MILLWOOD GODDESS - driver J Dunn was spoken to advisedly for the manner in which he drove passing the 1100m when attempting to correct his mare which briefly raced greenly. Mr Dunn advised he did not activate the hopple shorteners due to the horse pacing more fluently today than at its last start on Friday.
GOT YA NOW - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Raced erratically and broke racing into the first bend and became awkwardly placed close to the sulky of KAYSANS ROCK. Weakened from the 300m.
GEM N EM - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. Broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
KAYSANS ROCK - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts. Raced wide early.

THE REAL MCCOY - driver G Smith admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250. In taking this course of action, Stewards were mindful of Mr Smith's recent record in relation to this Rule.
OLDE OAK EMMA - held up early stages of the run home.
MAJOR HAPPY - driver K Newman was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
REFINE - raced wide early. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Hope advised he was disappointed with the effort of the mare and was of the opinion the horse may not have backed up from its last start on Friday. Mr Hope added the mare would be freshened prior to resuming.
ROCKNROLL DIVA - lay outwards in the score up and locked wheels with MARY LOU. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Raced wide early and middle stages.
MARY LOU - hampered in the score up and locked wheels with ROCKNROLL DIVA resulting in the mare being out of position at the start. Broke near the 400m losing all chance after becoming awkwardly placed close to the sulky of KNOCKSHANBALLY. Declared a non-runner by Stewards under Rule 213(1)(j) due to being denied a fair start.

GRAND EAGLE - lay inwards and raced greenly over the concluding stages briefly hampering a trailing runner. Driver J Dunn reported he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.

ROCK BAND - when questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams advised despite the gelding racing up in grade he had been disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.

Race 8   MIKE AUSTIN MEMORIAL HANDICAP TROT
RUAKAKA - broke at the start losing ground. Trotted roughly in the run home and was unable to be fully driven out.
TE RAPA - broke at the start losing all chance. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
BONNIE BAGRIE - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
BOYZ INVASION - began awkwardly.
MUSCLE BANK - weakened leaving the final bend.
ALMIGHTY FEAR - slow to begin losing ground. Weakened from the 500m.

BRYCE'S MEDDLE - held up early and middle stages of the run home.

DONMARO - over-raced early in the score up and broke briefly. Raced wide early. Weakened leaving the final bend. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
ALTA METEOR - raced wide early.
HOMEBUSH LAD - held up early stages of the run home. Driver M Holbrough was warned for using her whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
Race 10   CLUB WAIMEA PACE
BONDI LUSTRE - broke briefly at the start and shifted up the track losing ground. Hampered near the 1000m. Crowded leaving the final bend by an inside runner.
RON MCKINLEY - late scratching at 6.47am on Veterinary advice.
BLUE ROCK DANCER - broke approaching the 1000m checking trailing runners losing its chance with the gelding breaking the off-side hopple connecting strap while in a gallop. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously good condition. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Driver B Hope advised the gelding would be examined by the stable's Veterinarian in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
FORD RULE - checked and locked wheels with BLUE ROCK DANCER near the 1000m losing ground. Driver C Dalgety was warned to exercise greater care when shifting ground after crowding an outside runner leaving the final bend.
STANLEY'S RULE - broke at the start losing ground. Checked near the 1000m. Weakened final bend.
COUNTRY GOLD - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Checked near the 1000m and was obliged to race wide for the remainder of the event.
FOURTH AMENDMENT - broke briefly at the start. Over-raced throughout when leading. Driver S Tomlinson was warned for using her whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
ARCHIE - lay inwards when weakening near the 350m hampering a trailing runner and struck several track markers. Driver J Cox advised the gelding had hung throughout causing him some difficulty and he will be recommending gear changes prior to the horse resuming.
CARDWELL BAY - held up leaving the final bend.
JACCKA OPA - broke at the start losing ground. Hampered near the 1000m. Lay inwards and paced roughly in the run home. Driver S Thornley was warned to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home. Mr Thornley advised he will be recommending gear changes prior to the horse resuming.
GOD OF THUNDER - cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
Race 11   MAJESTIC HORSE TRANSPORT MOBILE PACE
WHAT A MINX - when questioned regarding the performance driver J Cox advised that although the horse had raced parked for the final 900m he was disappointed with the mare's effort and could offer no explanation.
MICHAEL CAINE - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
SOCIAL DISTANCING - driver R Close reported the gelding had hung inwards rounding the final bend causing him some difficulty.
ABSOLUTE DYNAMITE - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver J Dunn. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
HI HOPES - weakened leaving the final bend.
MORE GOODA - forced to race four wide from the 600m.
WALLFLOWER - raced wide early. Raced wide without cover from the 700m.
