Driver T Macfarlane admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly when shifting inwards entering the first turn when not sufficiently clear resulting in LUBY LILL being checked and breaking losing ground. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Macfarlane's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 26 January 2024 (2 days). | |

ALL CASHED UP(AUS) - raced wide early before breaking passing the 1850m losing considerable ground. It was established that Driver C Hackett had commenced to direct her runner inwards entering the first turn to look to shift BANGKOK BETTY down the track but BREAK FREE had improved to that runner's inside simultaneously with Ms Hackett then shifting ALL CASHED UP(AUS) back outwards, however the entire reacted badly and broke when appearing to resent the boring pole. Trotted roughly near the 850m when at the rear losing ground and trailed the field thereafter. | |
RESOLVE - raced wide early. When questioned regarding the performance Driver J Dickie advised that the mare had been required to work too hard when racing without cover throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. |
