Stewards questioned drivers K Butt (COSMIC ANGEL) and T Grant (RACHMANINOV) regarding this incident and after viewing the replays and hearing evidence from both drivers Stewards could not apportion blame onto either driver and took the matter no further. | |

Stewards questioned driver T Grant regarding his apparent lack of vigour in the run home and after hearing his explanation Stewards issued a charge under Rule 868(2) alleging that he failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible finishing place by failing to show sufficient vigour in the run home. Mr Grant advised he would be defending the charge and the hearing was adjourned sine die by the Adjudicative Committee. | |
JASPRIT TROUBLE - trotted roughly at various stages of the run home. Had to shift wider on the track near the 100m to obtain clear racing room. Driver M Heenan advised the removable deafeners were not activated in consequence. Mr Heenan added the gelding lost both hind shoes during the running. | |
WESTAR MILLY - trotted roughly after 200m. Raced greenly near the 350m after driver B Hope had activated the removable deafeners. | |

MOTOR MOUTH - junior driver A Cameron (assisted by J Dunn) admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that she drove carelessly leaving the final bend when shifting ground and striking the sulky wheel of BLUE ROCK DANCER which punctured. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Miss Cameron's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 16 January 2024 (3 days). | |

Stewards questioned drivers K Butt (TANE J J) and B Orange (WOLF OF WALL STREET) regarding this and after hearing their explanations it was established that TANE J J had initially lay inwards to follow AMERICANO which had been forced inwards in advance of her runner and when being corrected by Miss Butt had become awkwardly placed close to the sulky of WOLF OF WALL STREET which was also laying inwards. After viewing the replays Stewards could not apportion blame onto any one horse or driver and took the matter no further. | |
