After hearing from drivers C Dalgety (ALMIGHTY CLEVER) and K Tomlinson (CLASSIC MISSION), Stewards were satisfied no one horse or driver was at fault and accordingly took the matter no further. A post-race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed no obvious abnormality. | |

JIMMYRAY - held up over the concluding stages. Driver J Morrison was issued with a warning for the manner he eased the pace near the 1400m resulting in trailing runners being hampered. | |
WATERMELON SUGAR - hung outwards then over-raced and broke racing into the first bend when there was an easing of the pace. Raced wide from the 700m. Despite the easing of the pace driver C Dalgety advised the horse had been racing keenly at this stage of the race and he would be recommending gear changes. |
