Race 1   HOMEGROWN BUTCHER, DELI & PANTRY MOBILE PACE
BLAZE MAGUIRE - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. Lay out rounding the final turn. Weakened in the run home.
CHALLENGER - shifted out under pressure late in the run home.
PRINCE MIKI - Co-Trainers S & A Telfer were warned for presenting the gelding to race without the notified blinds. Broke near the 400m hampering several other runners but soon settled.
SHEZA MERMAID - raced wide early. Raced four wide from the 750m. Broke near the 400m hampering a trailing runner but soon settled. Locked wheels briefly with CONOR MCGREGOR approaching the 200m.
CONOR MCGREGOR - hampered by a breaking runner near the 400m. Locked wheels briefly with SHEZA MERMAID approaching the 200m.
MILLION DOLLAR CHIC - raced keenly middle stages. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 400m.
PENNYS FIRST FLIGHT - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. Had to be steadied on catching the body of the field near the 1300m.
LORD DELMAR - hampered by a breaking runner near the 400m.
Race 2   HILTON DELEGAT PAINTING & DECORATING MOBILE PACE
CARBON - had to shift ground outwards early in the home straight to obtain clear running.
SHARKNTATTIES - shifted out under pressure near the 100m.
MISS WOODVILLE - raced greenly early in the score up. Retired from the event approaching the 1300m after a hopple side carrier came adrift. Trainer A Pyers was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for failing to ensure the gear was affixed so as not to come adrift.
ROCKIN ROMAN - raced wide early.
CARRERA SUNSHINE - raced wide early before being restrained towards the rear. Lay in when attempting to improve three wide rounding the final turn. Weakened in the run home.
COTE D'AZUR - broke briefly in the score up but was in position at the candy pole. Obtained an inside run near the 100m.
ONETANGI GIRL - hampered briefly near the 200m.
CALI FRANCO - paced roughly approaching the first turn losing ground. Over-raced middle stages. Hampered briefly near the 200m. Driver D Grundmann was questioned regarding his starting position and his explanation accepted on this occasion.
Race 3   PETE'S JOINERY & BUILDING MOBILE PACE
ANN OFATHOUSAND BAYS - approval was given for the blinds to be removed prior to the start due to the mare failing to warm up favourably. Over-raced middle stages.
CALL SECURITY - held up throughout the home straight when unable to obtain clear running with Driver J Dickie not activating the sliding blinds as a result.
GREATER GOOD - held up throughout the home straight when unable to obtain clear running.
WHISKEY ON THE ROCKS - held up throughout the home straight when unable to obtain clear running.
THE ELITE ATHLETE - paced roughly near the 400m.
BETTOR GRUNTER - had some difficulty obtaining clear running early in the home straight.
Race 4   CONNIE STEWART NZSIR WAIRARAPA CUP HANDICAP PACE
RUN MASON RUN - swung outwards when the barriers were released and briefly got a sulky shaft across its rump before breaking and losing ground. Held up throughout the home straight when unable to obtain clear running.
RAGING WHITEBAIT - broke briefly at the start.
MEDINA MAGIC - had to be steadied off the back of ARTFUL LIVING near the 1100m.
SMOKINHOTCHEDDAR - broke near the 1200m losing ground and was taken up the track before settling.
SANTANNA MACH - weakened rounding the final turn hampering trailing runners.
VICTOR BRAVO - broke briefly at the start. Became unbalanced racing over the crossing near the 1700m and broke losing all chance.
ARTFUL LIVING - over-raced when being steadied near the 1100m to take a trail on SMOKINHOTCHEDDAR which shifted back down into the running line. Held up until near the 200m. Removed from the unruly for future standing starts.
JACCKA COOPER - held up by a weakening runner rounding the final turn. Lay out under pressure throughout the run home and had to be corrected.
MR KAPLAN - broke at the start losing ground.
WARLOCH - held up by a weakening runner rounding the final turn. Obtained an inside run approaching the 100m.
Race 5   OSBORNE GROUP CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS HANDICAP TROT
The start was delayed due to CARLEY MAGUIRE displaying poor barrier manners when being called into line. Sent to the unruly position by the Starter where it will remain for future stands.
JOHNNY WHO - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
THANK YOU - broke near the 1200m losing its chance. A final warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
CASHEM - Trainer F Mitchell was warned for presenting the gelding with the incorrect saddlecloth number. Broke at the start losing all chance.
KISS MY PIXEL - Driver Z Meredith was spoken to subsequent to the meeting and warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
YA KNOW - Co-Trainer D Ferguson advised that the mare would be racing without front shoes.
CARLEY MAGUIRE - Trainer T Briskie was warned for presenting the mare with a blind which was not notified. Was facing the wrong way when the barriers were released and took no part. Subsequently declared a non-runner by Stewards under Rule 213(1)(e) due to unsatisfactory barrier manners. Stood down for future stands pending a satisfactory trial.
STORMS ACOMING - broke near the winning post on the first occasion losing its chance.
NGAURUHOE - Driver W House had difficulty activating the removable deafeners near the 800m.
SWEET OLIVIA - broke near the 400m losing its chance. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners.
MANCHESTER IN TIME - slow early. Hampered briefly by a breaking runner near the 1200m.
Stewards took no action against horses that broke at or shortly after the start given the delay.
Race 6   LIQUORLAND MASTERTON MOBILE PACE
LUKA DONCIC - paced roughly passing the 200m.
STEALERS WHEEL - weakened in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance Driver J Abernethy advised he was disappointed with the run and could offer no explanation. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormality.
SUPERSTAR LEGEND - raced wide early before crossing to the parked position near the 1500m.
BAILEYS PITCH - weakened rounding the final turn.
CLEAR LEFT - Trainer S Dickson was warned for presenting the gelding with the incorrect saddlecloth number.
