Stewards concluded an investigation into the reasons for EL CHICO (M Smolenski) breaking after 150m. After hearing from drivers J Cox and M Smolenski , Stewards were unable to apportion full blame to any one driver or EL CHICO. When assessing this Stewards took into account that EL CHICO resented being restrained in the early stages when in clear running and shortly after, when placed in restricted room had over-reacted. Nevertheless Mr Cox was reminded of his obligations when shifting ground and advised to make a better effort when placed in similar circumstances in future.
