Race 1   CRAIG AT HARCOURTS GOLD CHIP FINAL (HANDICAP TROT)
BURNING LOVE - shifted outwards at the start hampering outside runners then broke losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Broke again near the 300m hampering HOT SAUCY BETTY.
STORM CLOUD - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Lay inwards and struck a track marker near the 900m.
MAJESTIC WHISPER - broke at the start losing ground. Raced four wide from the 600m. Placed on the Unruly for future standing starts at the request of trainer J Cox.
HEAVENLY STRINGS - lay inwards and struck a track marker near the 900m.
HOT SAUCY BETTY - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Broke near the 2300m losing ground. Broke again near the 1800m losing ground. Lay inwards and struck a track marker near the 900m. Again hampered by a breaking runner near the 300m.
KYLE LOCH - broke at the start losing ground.
AH DINNAE KEN - broke racing into the first bend losing ground.
Race 2   SHAW BUILDING LTD MOBILE PACE
WESTAR MOLLY - raced wide early.
AMERICAN MAC - raced greenly in the score up and was inconvenienced just prior to the start when an outside runner lay inwards. Raced wide early until reaching the parked position near the 1300m.
BOMBAY GLACIER - paced roughly and lay inwards just prior to the start inconveniencing an inside runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Raced wide early. Over-raced and became awkwardly positioned close to the sulky of WESTAR MOLLY which was being eased near the 1700m and broke briefly, losing ground. After hearing from drivers J Cox (WESTAR MOLLY) and A Armour (BOMBAY GLACIER), Stewards were satisfied that no one driver was at fault and took the matter no further.
NYLA - trainer S Armour was issued with a warning for failing to have the correct colours available. Lay inwards and struck track markers rounding the first bend. Again lay inwards and struck a track marker rounding the final bend.
CLASSIC MISSION - held up early and middle stages of the run home and struck a track marker near the 150m. Driver K Tomlinson was issued with a warning for contacting track markers.
I'M WATCHING YOU - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room through the middle and latter stages of the run home.
Race 3   DIAMOND CREEK FARM/SBSR ROBIN DUNDEE CROWN (MOBILE PACE)
PAY ME SPEEDY - a post-race veterinary examination at the request of connections revealed no obvious abnormality. Trainer C Faithful advised she would have the mare undergo a further veterinary examination in the coming days which Stewards will follow up.
CALDWELL - hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend and was hampered again shortly after by another breaking runner.
TAYLA ME - raced wide early stages.
AINT NO ANGEL - broke racing into the first bend hampering a trailing runner and losing its chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
BIZZIE LOU - broke near the 1400m hampering a trailing runner and losing its chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
KIKORANGI BLUE - lay inwards leaving the final bend and the initial stages of the run home. When questioned regarding the performance of a favoured runner driver B Barclay advised he was reluctant to progress forward given the tempo of the race and the mare had lay in rounding the final bend, adding he was not overly disappointed with the run.
Race 4   SHEET METALCRAFT LTD HANDICAP TROT
SALLY LINDENNY - broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Authorisation of this runner's 3rd placing was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
KRACKALING - lay out and locked wheels with ONE TWO MENNY early in the run home.
SWITCH ON - trainer K Green was issued with a warning after presenting the gelding with removable deafeners and not the notified fixed deafeners. Raced four wide from the 600m.
BRING ON THE MUSCLE - broke after 120m hampering a trailing runner and losing considerable ground.
VERTIGO - driver L McCormick was issued with a warning for using his whip in a continuous manner in the early and middle stages of the run home.
PYRAMID MYSTIC - over-raced middle stages.
IMPERIAL MAN - paced racing into the first bend having to be broken up by driver C Ferguson to return the gelding to its correct gait, losing ground.
HIGH INTENSITY - broke first bend losing all chance.
AROHA KENNY - when questioned regarding the performance driver M Williamson advised he was not disappointed given the filly had worked hard during the running and this had taken its toll over the concluding stages.
ONE TWO MENNY - over-raced middle stages. Lay in and locked wheels with KRACKALING early in the run home.
Race 5   FORKLIFTS NZ LTD FILLIES MOBILE PACE
MALLORY MAGUIRE - hampered having to be restrained near the 1000m.
SASSY ART - lay out shortly after the start. Hampered having to be restrained near the 1000m.
TREACHEROUS BABY - forced wider on the track near the 1300m.
ALWAYS TICKING - hampered having to be restrained near the 1300m. Again hampered having to be restrained near the 1000m.
RUBY ROE - raced wide early. Raced greenly passing the 1500m when attempting to obtain the lead. Again, raced greenly near the 1300m when attempting to pull up and shifted out, forcing TREACHEROUS BABY wider on the track and hampering a trailing runner. Continued to race greenly near the 1000m hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
Race 6   BRENDAN FRANKS FARRIER DAVID MOSS STAKES (HCP TROT)
HIDDEN TALENT - trotted roughly over the concluding stages. Driver N Williamson reported he did not release the removable deafeners as a consequence.
MUSCLE BANK - broke shortly after the start hampering a trailing runner and losing all chance, being retired from the race.
MAUI - broke briefly at the start. Broke again rounding the first bend losing ground. Driver L McCormick reported the gelding had hung inwards rounding the first bend.
JIMMY CARTER - hung inwards and broke rounding the first bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
SMOKIN BANDAR - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
OSCAR BONAVENA - pre-race warmed.
Race 7   CANADA STAKES 3YO FILLIES MOBILE PACE
CLAASEE - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver R McIlwrick. Placed on the Unruly for future mobile starts. Paced roughly first bend. Weakened from the 800m.
SHEZZA VINNY - hung inwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. Placed on the Unruly for future mobile starts. Weakened from the 500m.
BETTING SENSATION - paced roughly racing into the first bend and again at various stages throughout.
TAKEITOUT - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver S O'Reilly. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
Race 8   ASCOT PARK HOTEL INVERCARGILL CUP (HANDICAP PACE)
HE'S A MEISTER - fractious prior to the start and was slow to begin. Weakened final bend.
TACT MCLEOD - broke at the start. Lay in final bend contacting track markers.
BEACH BALL - fractious prior to the start and was reluctant to take up its rightful barrier position of one on the 10m line. Shifted down the track shortly after the start. Driver R May was spoken to and reminded of his obligations to start further down the track when having drawn an inside barrier.
SELF ASSURED - Authorisation of placings was withheld until the Stewards had reviewed footage of the start to determine whether SELF ASSURED had gained an advantage when improving its position from the inside of the 20m line by utilising the expanded inside lane at the start. After viewing the replays and speaking with driver M Purdon it was established that BEACH BALL which had drawn position one on the 10m line had started wider on the track and when the start was effected SELF ASSURED, which had begun well, was forced inwards by BEACH BALL which shifted ground inwards shortly after the start. After viewing replays and hearing from Mr Purdon placings were duly authorised.
Race 9   RON McEWAN MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
BROOKIES PLAYER - lay inwards and struck a track marker near the 850m.
JOES ROCK - raced wide early.
HAZER - over-raced in the early stages when being restrained to take cover.
DECEPTIVE LEE - raced wide from the 1700m.
Race 10   PURCHASE/MYERS MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
ULTIMATE WEAPON - had difficulty obtaining clear running early in the run home.
CALIFORNIA DREAMING - connections advised the gelding has been treated for lumber soreness since last racing. Shifted in under pressure in the run home placing an inside runner in restricted room.
ROTTEN RODDEN - placed in restricted room near the 50m.
MONTAGE - raced wide early.
NORTHVIEW SWEET - lay in entering the first bend striking and dislodging a track marker.
AQUILA - raced wide early. Weakened final bend.
HOOROO - trainer J Cox was issued with a warning for presenting the filly without the notified sliding blinds. Paced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of HOOROO. Paced roughly again on the final bend.
Race 11   McKNIGHT & BROWN MOBILE PACE
MILLWOOD INDIE - over-raced middle stages.
BOBBIES ROCK - over-raced early and middle stages.
FLYING BIRD - raced wide early. Held up early stages of the run home.

WITH A BANG - held up middle stages of the run home.
RISE UP N DANCE - over-raced middle stages.

LOGAN ROCK - struck track markers first bend. When questioned regarding this driver S Ottley advised she had difficulty steering the gelding and it had been striking the wheel discs. A warning was placed on the racing record LOGAN ROCK. Over-raced middle stages.
