Race 1   McKAIN QUALITY CONSTRUCTION MOBILE TROT
ESHELON - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Broke again near the 1900m losing further ground. Weakened final bend.
ONE EL - hung outwards on several occasions during the running.
ORIGIN - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver P Davis. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
BRIANNA - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver D McCormick. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Over-raced middle stages. Hung inwards in the run home and struck a track marker despite the efforts of Mr McCormick.
TO HILL AND BACK - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
Race 2   RURAL BUSINESS ACCOUNTANTS MOBILE PACE
OPO - held up early in the run home.
VINCHETTO - weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver M Williamson could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed nasal discharge and a slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
THE WELSH DRAGON - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver J Dunn. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Weakened rounding the final bend and broke briefly near the 450m.
SPRED SHEET - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver G Shand. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Weakened final bend.
FULHAM JIVE - raced wide early and was restrained to the rear of the field. Hung inwards late in the run home having to be corrected by driver R Holmes.
THE NIGHT FOX - held up early in the run home.
Race 3   A TEAM CONSTRUCTION FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
WALLFLOWER - held up leaving the final bend.
HI LIFE - when questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised he was disappointed with the effort and could provide no explanation.
ON TOP OF THE WORLD - when questioned regarding the performance driver R Close was unable to provide any explanation. Connections advised they would have blood tests taken from the filly in the coming days and undertook to notify the results to Stewards.
KAWATIRI CREEK - paced roughly on several occasions rounding the first bend.
SHAPELY - hampered by a breaking runner on the first bend.
MAJOR DISRUPTION - raced wide throughout and when attempting to improve forward hung inwards for a distance placing the driver at a disadvantage. Weakened from the 500m. When questioned regarding the performance driver M Williamson advised the mare had hung inwards throughout and he would be recommending gear changes prior to racing next.
DIDJASEEMIKI - broke on the first bend hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
Race 4   S.I. SEED DRESSING & STORAGE MOBILE PACE
THOR - hung inwards rounding the final bend when improving wide on the track.
SOUND OF SILENCE - connections advised the gelding has been treated for a blood disorder since last racing.
SO TRUE - hung inwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Hung outwards racing into the first bend and had to be restrained. Trainer/driver S Lethaby advised the gelding will now be sent for a spell.
Race 5   HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANNEMARIE PIDWELL MOBILE TROT
JASPRIT TROUBLE - connections advised the gelding has had its joints treated since last racing. Trotted roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke after 100m losing ground. Trotted roughly rounding the final bend. Driver M Heenan advised the removable deafeners were not activated due to the cord becoming entangled.
LUCINDA HEST - weakened final bend.
MM SUNSHINE - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver R Holmes. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
KOWHAI SUNSET - broke in the score up losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Trotted roughly passing the 1200m losing ground. Broke again near the 750m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
MISS YO - switched to a pace in the early stages of the score up and was out of position at the candy pole. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
MAINBOCHER - hung outwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
LOVE WALKED IN - out of position at the candy pole and start. Junior driver M Holbrough (assisted by M Purvis) was shown the replay and issued with a warning. Raced wide early.
LIL MISS MUSCLES - when questioned regarding the performance driver S Ottley advised she was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
Race 6   SMITHFIELD BERRIES FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
ELITE STYX - over-raced middle stages. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
CARDWELL BAY - when questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised he was not disappointed given it was the filly's first start after a lengthy spell and believed the horse would derive benefit from the race.
RUBY'S A DELIGHT - connections advised the mare would be racing in season. Over-raced middle stages.
Race 7   STEWART & HOLLAND LTD MOBILE PACE
BETTER FLY - hampered final bend by a weakening runner.
FOLLOW ME FANTASY - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.
FAST ACE - held up rounding the final bend.
APATCHOFGOLD - raced wide early. Raced wide from the 1300m before being forced to race four wide from the 800m. Driver J Curtin advised the removable deafeners were not activated due to the cord becoming entangled.
LIZZIE RICHTER - raced wide early.
THE REAL MCCOY - connections advised the gelding would be racing without front shoes.
Race 8   MAINLAND REPAIRS LTD MOBILE PACE
FOVEAUX GAMBLER - held up final bend.
REFINE - held up early in the run home.
KILAUEA - held up final bend.
KING ARTHUR - raced wide early.
RON MCKINLEY - raced wide early. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams advised he had been forced to race wide on the track after improving near the 700m and had been unable to make ground over the concluding stages. Mr Williams added he was not disappointed with the effort considering it was the gelding's first start after a spell and believed the horse would derive considerable benefit from the race.
STAR MAGIC - held up early in the run home.
MIGHTY REACTOR - paced roughly through the middle stages when over-racing.
ROCKNROLL DIVA - held up early in the run home. Lay inwards and had to be straightened passing the 100m.
ONELOVEONELIFE - weakened leaving the final bend.
THE BETTOR MAJOR - broke in the score up and attempted to buck losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a mobile start prior to resuming. Trainer B Mowbray advised he would give consideration to sending the gelding for a spell.
Race 9   MORRISON'S SADDLERY & FEED/ZILCO MOBILE TROT
KAWHI - over-raced middle stages. Weakened leaving the final bend.
STYX JEWEL - raced wide early.
CRAZY N LOVE - broke near the 400m hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
PAIGE - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
WY FI - the required veterinary clearance was received. Raced wide early. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 400m.
FEEL THE MOMENT - broke near the 200m losing all chance. Connections advised the gelding had lost a shoe when in a break.
Race 10   JOHN ROLLINSON & CASH REGISTER MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
KALASA - raced wide from the 600m. When questioned regarding the performance both driver R May and trainer L Hanrahan were disappointed and could offer no explanation. Mr Hanrahan advised the gelding will be sent for a spell.
ALMIGHTY CLEVER - when questioned regarding the performance driver M Williamson advised the gelding had been unsuited to the strong tempo throughout.
TALIESIN - hampered by a breaking runner near the 500m.
MOTOR MOUTH - hampered by a breaking runner near the 500m.
ARIZONAWILDCAT - hampered by a breaking runner near the 500m.
PERAKI SEELSTER - raced wide early.
CHRIS KYLE - broke near the 500m hampering trailing runners losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Thornley advised the gelding had been making abnormal breathing noises during the running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
BRYCE'S MEDDLE - raced wide early.
