BORRISOKANE - broke after 150m losing ground. Broke again near the 1150m losing ground. Broke on a further occasion near the 350m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
LOUIS - late scratching at 11.08am on Veterinary advice.
CEE WHO'S BETTOR - paced roughly after 150m. Broke rounding the first bend losing ground. Broke again near the 800m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
TOKYO ROSE - raced wide early. Hung inwards and locked wheels with JUDGEMENT BAY for a short distance leaving the final bend. Continued to hang inwards throughout the run home.
JUDGEMENT BAY - locked wheels for a short distance with TOKYO ROSE which hung inwards leaving the final bend. The anti-choke device came loose during the running.
FLO MOTION - raced wide early.
Race 2   AIRPARK CANTERBURY TROT
KOWHAI SUNSET - broke at the start losing all chance.
CALL THIS FUN - weakened from the 700m hampering a trailing runner. Returned to the stabling area with blood present in both nostrils. A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination confirmed the mare had bled. Stood down for the mandatory 30 days with a veterinary clearance including an endoscopic examination required prior to completing one satisfactory trial before resuming.
LOVEY DOVEY NOVA - hung inwards and struck the wheel of CALL THIS FUN after 150m despite the efforts of driver T Chmiel and broke hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
MAJESTIC WHISPER - hampered by a weakening runner near the 700m. Broke near the 250m losing all chance.
TAKE AFTER ME - hampered by a breaking runner after 150m. Trotted roughly rounding the first bend losing ground. Hampered by a weakening runner near the 700m.
EYRE I WILL - trotted roughly final bend.
WHO'S QUEEN - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
SASSY STAR - pre-race warmed.
Race 3   MARKS AUTOMOTIVE - PREBBLETON PACE
BETTOR REACTION - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Weakened from the 600m.
EASTWOOD DREAM - driver B Orange was warned for the manner he drove near the 2100m when crowding an inside runner.
HILDA MAUD - over-raced middle stages. Weakened final bend.
WOODBINE ROCKS - hung inwards and paced roughly leaving the final bend.
TYRION - crowded near the 2100m and struck track markers.
Race 4   DOMINATOR CHRISTCHURCH MOBILE PACE
TOBY TOM B - over-raced in the score up and became awkwardly positioned ahead of the barrier arm and broke when being steadied. Settled before pacing roughly and broke again late in the score up hampering a trailing runner losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Driver S Thornley advised he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
THOR - held up final bend and until late in the run home. Lay outwards inside the final 40m and locked sulky stays with RAGAZZO MAJOR.
BUILT FOR GLORY - paced roughly rounding the final bend.
ARDEN'S PURSUIT - weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
FLYING FOR ME - raced wide early. Over-raced middle stages. Raced wide without cover from the 950m. Weakened final bend.
KOTARE KELSO - late scratching at 9.52am on Veterinary advice.
RAGAZZO MAJOR - hampered by a breaking runner in the score up and was out of position at the start. Locked sulky stays with THOR over the concluding stages which had lay outwards. Authorisation of placings were withheld until Stewards had reviewed replays of the start with driver C Dalgety who advised his chances had been affected and RAGAZZO MAJOR was declared a non-runner under Rule 213(1)(j) after being denied a fair start.
FULHAM JIVE - raced wide with cover from the 1100m. Weakened leaving the final bend.
PATIRO - weakened final bend.
Following the race Starter R Donnelly was spoken to and reminded of his obligations regarding signalling a recall when there is interference prior to the start.
Race 5   WOODLANDS STUD SUPPORTING OUR FUTURE F&M MOBILE TROT
GEORGE ELIOT - broke after getting its head under the barrier arm late in the score up losing all chance. Weakened from the 600m. A Request for a Ruling was lodged with the Adjudicative Committee by Stewards to determine whether GEORGE ELIOT had been denied a fair start. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from the Starter, Stewards and Mr Grant, the Adjudicative Committee declared GEORGE ELIOT to be a runner after it had broken as a result of its own manners. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
HOLLY HIGHLANDER - broke after being contacted by the barrier arm which had come back late in the score up after an inside runner had got its head under the barrier arm losing all chance. After viewing the replays with driver S Ottley, Stewards declared HOLLY HIGHLANDER a non-runner under Rule 213(1)(j) after being denied a fair start.
ALDEBARAN FLOSS - connections advised the mare would be racing in season.
IT'S SO EASY - weakened final bend.
MAJESTIC WHISPER - late scratching at 6.10pm after starting in Race 2.
Following the race Starter D Gaffaney was spoken to and reminded of his obligations regarding signalling a recall when there is interference prior to the start.
Race 6   KILRAY PLUMBING GAS & DRAINAGE MOBILE PACE
The start was delayed due to the protest in the previous race.
ELLIE FRANCO - weakened final bend.
JAZELLE - weakened final bend.
HE'S TOUGH - hung inwards final bend losing ground. Continued to hang inwards throughout the run home causing driver B Orange some difficulty.
JORDY - broke in the score up however was in position at the start.
FRANCO HOFFMAN - held up by a weakening runner final bend. Held up early in the run home.
Race 7   BETAVET MOBILE PACE
HEISENBERG - when questioned regarding the performance connections advised the gelding had been unsuited to the tempo of the race and had been unable to make ground due to the fast closing sectionals.
Race 8   HAGLEY WINDOWS AND DOORS TROT
MISS GRACIE - broke at the start hampering a trailing runner losing all chance and was retired from the race.
WESTAR MILLY - broke at the start losing ground.
NGAURUHOE - broke at the start losing ground. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts at the request of trainer M Purvis.
KAWHI - raced wide early.
NAVARA - raced wide early.
NATIVES INFERNO - broke at the start losing ground. Held up late in the run home.
EMILY - trotted roughly in the early stages. Held up early in the run home.
MADELEINE STOWE - late scratching at 11.30am on Veterinary advice.
A HILL TWO MENNY - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.

BONNIE BAGRIE - trainer S Payne advised the mare has had its hocks treated since last racing. Raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1300m.

ABSOLUTE DYNAMITE - held up early in the run home.
SOPHIA BROMAC - late scratching at 12.25pm on Veterinary advice.

RADIOACTIVE JAFFA - weakened rounding the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Bamford advised the gelding had raced lethargically throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery with a high heart and respiratory rate. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
TOPAZ - raced wide early. Weakened final bend.
BONNEY ELOISE - paced roughly in the run home when weakening.
Race 10   GOLD BAND TAXIS FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
MAYSON SHARD - held up early in the run home.
JOAN'S RISING STAR - trainer P Kerr was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after presenting the filly to race with sliding blinds which had not been notified.
JAZZY STYX - struck track markers after shifting into the passing lane near the 150m. Junior driver W House was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after allowing his runner to contact track markers.
SHAPELY - raced wide without cover from the 700m.
SOPHIA'S DREAM - when questioned regarding the performance driver J Stormont advised the filly had paced roughly at various stages throughout and he was disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
JUST FOLLOW ME - broke as the start was effected losing considerable ground. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts. Weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
