Race 1   DUNSTAN HORSEFEEDS HANDICAP TROT
ITBETTERBENOW - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record.
PATRICK MAHOMES - veered inwards at the start.
PLAY FOOTSIE - lay in rounding the turns. Weakened final turn.
MAZEPPA - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Hampered again by a breaking runner near the 750m. Broke near the 300m losing ground. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial prior to resuming.
TRIFOLIUM - hampered by a breaking runner near the 750m. Lost ground when held up by weakening runners approaching the final turn.
HELSINGOR - broke shortly after the start losing ground.
SLAINTE - commenced to improve wide near the 1150m but lay in rounding the turn near the 800m before breaking briefly hampering trailing runners. Continued to race wide thereafter. Weakened final turn.
Race 2   DUNSTAN 100% NEW ZEALAND MOBILE PACE
BABA YAGA - raced keenly middle stages.
BEACH PARTY - over-raced middle stages.
PETER FORSBERG - when questioned regarding the performance Driver J Kriechbaumer could offer no explanation for the disappointing run. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
CONOR MCGREGOR - paced roughly for several strides shortly after the start.
JACCKA COOPER - raced wide early. When questioned regarding the performance Driver M Northcott could offer no explanation for the disappointing run. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
Race 3   DUNSTAN SALUTE MOBILE PACE
CHANGEALOT - paced roughly and lost ground rounding the final turn. Continued to pace roughly in the run home with Driver D Butcher advising that he didn't activate the removable deafeners as a result.
INNOCENT MAN - paced roughly shortly after the start.
SHEZA MERMAID - paced roughly for several strides entering the first turn after unsuccessfully contesting for a position in the running line. Raced wide early and middle stages before improving to the parked position near the 1250m.
Race 4   DUNSTAN RECOVERY MASH HANDICAP TROT
RUN FOREST RUN - broke at the start losing ground hampering a trailing runner. Broke again entering the first turn losing its chance.
YUROK - swung sideways just before the barrier was released checking an outside runner with resultant interference to two second row unruly horses. Declared a non-runner on the grounds of having been denied a fair start.
YA KNOW - checked when crowded by an inside runner that swung sideways prior to the barrier being released and was slow early losing considerable ground. Broke near the 750m losing its chance. Declared a non-runner on the grounds of having been denied a fair start.
LADY LARNI - broke near the 250m but soon settled.
PHOEBE MAJESTIC - over-raced middle stages.
FLYING SCOTSMAN - checked and broke at the start when a front line runner swung sideways prior to the barrier being released, losing considerable ground. Declared a non-runner on the grounds of having been denied a fair start.
PRESIDENT FLYNNTIN - checked at the start when a front line runner swung sideways prior to the barrier being released and lost ground as a result. Declared a non-runner on the grounds of having been denied a fair start.
ROMEO FOXTROT - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start and broke losing considerable ground.
Following the running Starter D Blakemore was shown replays of the start and spoken to advisedly in relation to his failure to declare a false start.
Race 5   DUNSTAN MOVE FREE MOBILE PACE
CAULFIELD - Driver D Butcher was warned to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course after his gelding shifted outwards early in the run home when he was activating the deafeners.
GANDALF - had to be steadied near the 1300m when CAULFIELD shifted out from the marker line. After viewing the replays it could not be established that GANDALF had reached CAULFIELD's sulky wheel prior to Driver D Butcher commencing his outward movement and no further action was deemed necessary.
HESASHORETHING - raced wide early.
PROVISEUR - over-raced middle stages.
MEDINA MAGIC - Driver A Harrison reported that she sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 700m when contacted by a trailing runner.
MR KAPLAN - the near side deafener released prematurely early in the score up. Commenced to over-race and shifted out marginally approaching the 700m when another runner improved to its outside, contacting the sulky wheel of MEDINA MAGIC. Stewards were satisfied that Driver M Ranger was not at fault and took the matter no further.
Race 6   DUNSTAN SPEEDFEED MOBILE PACE
BEAUDIENE ROCKNROLL - Driver A Poutama was shown the replay and spoken to advisedly in relation to the manner in which he drove when activating gear near the 200m which resulted in the gelding shifting ground outwards.
BROOKSIDE GIRL - commenced to improve with a three wide trail behind BUGALUGS near the 700m but was unable to hold that runner's back rounding the final turn and only battled in the run home to finish at the rear. When questioned Trainer/Driver D Butcher stated that this was the filly's first race back from a spell and although she had trialed well leading into the event he expected her to derive benefit from the run. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
GREATER GOOD - held up late in the run home.
Race 7   MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM DUNSTAN MOBILE PACE
BELL FIRE - weakened final turn.
FREEDOM DASH - unable to hold the back of BELL FIRE passing the 1600m which enabled IMA SPORTYANGEL to shift down to fill the position.
IMA SPORTYANGEL - raced wide early. Held up early final turn.
WALTZING WITH MIKI - held up final turn and early stages of the run home.
ILLUSIVE SUNSHINE - when questioned regarding the performance Trainer/Driver T Mitchell advised that he will be having blood tests conducted in the immediate future and would advise Stewards of the results.
