Race 1 - BEN HOPE / KORBYN NEWMAN AMATEUR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
Driver J Buckland-Stevens (EMMA'S DELIGHT) admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended her amateur driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on the 2 December up to and including 30 December 2023 (2 days).

KOKO KABOOM - broke after 200m losing considerable ground. Broke again near the 1200m when trailing the field and then again on a further occasion rounding the final turn.
KNOWING ME - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
TORVI - lay inwards and had to be straightened near the 150m.
MUSICAL TRIX - began awkwardly. Raced wide early before crossing to the parked position near the 1200m. Weakened in the run home.
SPECIAL EFFECTS - broke near the 1600m losing ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
DIEDRE FRANCO - trotted roughly over the concluding stages. Removed from the unruly for future standing starts.
ZEKE - pre-race warmed. Broke after 150m losing ground before breaking again approaching the winning post the first time losing considerable ground.
Race 2   BISHOP BROTHERS PUBLIC HOUSE MOBILE PACE
EMMA'S DELIGHT - broke in the score up checking an inside runner and lost all chance. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.
DOCTOR TIM - Trainer M House was issued with a warning for the late notification of a driver.
ONELOVEONELIFE - checked in the score up however was in position at the start. Over-raced middle stages. Lay inwards striking a track marker near the 1300m.
Race 3   LINCOLN GOLDEN OLDIES MOBILE PACE
APATCHOFGOLD - raced wide early stages.
EDGE SHEERAN - broke in the score up losing its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners.
SECRET COCKTAIL - broke as the start was effected losing considerable ground. Stood down to complete one satisfactory mobile trial prior to resuming. Broke over the concluding stages.

MONTOYA - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1000m.
MAJOR CHEDDAR - lay out rounding the final turn and throughout the run home.
BETTOR REACTION - over-raced early and middle stages before being taken forward three wide passing the 1200m.
KIWI'S ROCK - raced wide early. Broke near the 1000m hampering trailing runners losing ground. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial prior to resuming.
HARRY BELAFONTE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1000m.
OPO - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1000m. Raced wide from the 900m.
AMBLESIDE DRIVE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1000m.
DOVER TERRACE - refused to leave the pre-race formation losing all chance. Declared a non-runner under Rule 213(1)(e) due to unsatisfactory manners prior to the start. Stood down to complete one satisfactory mobile trial prior to resuming.
BONO BROWN - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1000m.
ROSIE RICHTER - broke near the 300m losing its chance. A warning was placed on the filly's racing manners.

BEST TRIO - had to be steadied when there was an easing of the pace near the 800m.
COURAGE REACTOR - had to be steadied when there was an easing of the pace near the 800m.
JUDINE - raced wide early and middle stages.
EXPRESSIVE LOVE - locked wheels with an inside runner near the 100m.
THE REAL MCCOY - raced wide early. Raced greenly when being restrained off the back of JUDINE near the 800m resulting in an easing of the pace in the running line.
CHANGEAROUND - raced wide early and middle stages.
OLDE OAK EMMA - Trainer J Reedy was warned for presenting the mare with the incorrect saddle cloth. Held up throughout the run home.
SIR MONTY - Driver S O'Reilly reported that she had been unable to activate the deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
THE HIGHLANDER - locked wheels with an outside runner near the 100m.
Race 7   CAVALIER TROTTING PRODUCTS TROT
LOVEY DOVEY NOVA - broke racing over the crossing hampering trailing runners near the 1700m losing considerable ground. Broke again near the 200m but soon settled.
CURATOR - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1650m.
LUCINDA HEST - reluctant to come forward on to the barrier then broke at the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier manners. Weakened final turn.
PATRICK SWAYZE - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Weakened in the run home.
RUTHLESS LIZZIE - raced wide early.
BELLEROPHONTE - broke briefly near the 1300m losing ground. When questioned regarding the performance Driver J Dunn advised that the gelding didn't handle the track.
LOVE WALKED IN - hampered and broke approaching the 1500m when being restrained off the back of BELLEROPHONTE, which had become awkwardly placed close to the sulky of VINCENZO, losing its chance.
DIDJABRINGTHEBUBBLES - broke near the 1650m losing ground. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners.
Race 8   BRIAN HUMM CONTRACTING PACE
B SMART - when questioned regarding the improved performance connections advised that the mare was racing in foal which had been notified to HRNZ.
TACT TEEL - had difficulty obtaining clear running near the 150m.
STAR MAGIC - Trainer G Smith was issued with a warning for presenting the gelding without the notified anti-choke device. Mr Smith was also warned for being late to arrive at the start area.
ARCHIE - over-raced when being restrained to obtain cover near the 1400m. Was then taken forward to attempt to secure the lead but raced ungenerously and was unable to cross MEGAROCK which had been restrained to look to take a trail.
ABSOLUTE DYNAMITE - raced wide throughout when unable to secure the parked position which was being held by ARCHIE.
FULL OF DESIRE - checked and broke near the 1200m hampering a trailing runner when there was an easing of the pace in the running line and lost ground before settling. Stewards were unable to solely attribute the easing of the pace to an individual driver or horse and no further action was taken.
KENNEDY - became fractious causing a delay to the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier record.
ARNOLD LAYNE - Driver R Close was warned for being late to arrive at the start area.
MANJIMUP - Driver R Cameron reported he didn't activate the deafeners due to having the field covered.
GOODOLDAYZ - became fractious causing a delay to the start. Broke at the start losing ground. Stood down to complete one satisfactory standing start trial prior to resuming. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1200m.
Race 9   CABINS 2U AKAROA CUP (HANDICAP PACE)
JOHNNY MAC - held up early in the run home.
BLUE ROCK DANCER - held up until inside the 150m.
ITSAMONEYMAKER - weakened in the run home.
LESTER - held up early in the run home.
FRANCO INDIE - shifted in early and middle stages of the run home. Driver B Orange was warned to make a greater effort to keep his runner on a straight course in the home straight in future.
KISS THE GIRLS - broke briefly at the start.
Race 10   HAASE MARSHALL DRAINAGE HANDICAP TROT
RACHMANINOV - had some difficulty obtaining clear running early in the home straight.
A LATE LATE PRESSY - had to be steadied rounding the first turn causing a slight easing of the pace in the running line. Raced keenly middle stages. Weakened in the run home.
TAKE AFTER ME - had some difficulty obtaining clear running early in the home straight.
TAKE NOTICE - broke near the 1300m losing its chance.
FULL OF HOPE - weakened in the run home.
DD'S SUPER STUART - over-raced middle stages.
BOYZ INVASION - Driver W House reported that the gelding cast the near fore shoe during the running.
Race 11   RANGIORA EQUINE SERVICES FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
FLYAWAY - contacted and punctured the sulky wheel of JUST FOLLOW ME on straightening for the run home. Junior Driver S O'Reilly, who declined the assistance of a senior driver, defended a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that she drove carelessly in this incident. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Ms O'Reilly the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and suspended Ms O'Reilly's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 3 December 2023 up to and including 9 December 2023 (2 days).
DIVINE ANGEL - Driver J Dunn reported that he didn't activate the sliding blinds and removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
TIGER TAYLOR - held up early stages of the run home.
JUST FOLLOW ME - raced wide in the early stages and paced roughly near the 1600m. Weakened in the run home after sustaining a punctured sulky tyre with the tyre and tube then coming away from the rim.
