Race 11 - IRT NEW ZEALAND TROTTING CUP (STAND PACE)
Driver C Hart (SWAYZEE) admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Hart's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 24 November 2023 (5 days) and in addition imposed a fine of $2500.
Race 12 - GOLD BAND TAXIS MOBILE PACE
Driver R May (SMOKE ON THE WATER) was warned for the manner in which he drove when crowding DOUBLE TIME late in the run home. When assessing this Stewards took into account that SMOKE ON THE WATER had been laying inwards which had contributed.

The start was delayed four minutes due to MR LOVE requiring farrier attention.
BONNIE BAGRIE - broke rounding the final bend checking a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
BENNIE AND THE JETS - checked and broke leaving the final bend losing all chance.
FIERY BANDITO - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
BUFFY NORTHSTAINS - over-raced middle stages.
EMILY - trotted roughly rounding the final bend.
MR LOVE - driver B Hope reported the gelding cast a shoe during the running.
SALLY LINDENNY - slow to leave the pre-race formation and trotted roughly in the score up and was out of position at the candy pole and start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Broke racing into the first bend losing all chance.
IZIA - broke as the start was effected and lay outwards hampering outside runners losing ground. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.

SUNNYS SISTER - hampered shortly after the start and broke losing ground. Raced wide from the 900m. Broke rounding the final bend losing all chance.
Race 2   MACCA LODGE 'SOUTH OF THE WAITAKI' MOBILE PACE
TAXMAN - weakened from the 600m.
WAVEWATCHER - weakened from the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
RISE UP N DANCE - shifted inwards late in the run home crowding an inside runner. Driver N Williamson was advised to make a better effort to maintain a straight course in the run home in future. Mr Williamson was also warned for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
COASTER - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised the gelding had travelled well however was under pressure inside the final 600m and he was disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
STILL ROCKIN - hampered final bend by a weakening runner.
AINT NO ANGEL - raced wide early. Lay outwards over the concluding stages crowding an outside runner. Driver B Williamson was advised to make a better effort to maintain a straight course in the run home in future.

HE'S TOUGH - driver B Orange was warned for shifting ground and crowding an inside runner racing into the first bend.
KRYSTAL DELIGHT - raced wide early and middle stages.
MARIA ALLEGONDA - raced wide early and middle stages.

BLITHE - trotted roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Broke after 150m hampering trailing runners losing all chance.
IDLE STUARTIA - hampered by a breaking runner near the 350m and struck track markers.
MAUI - hampered by a breaking runner near the 350m.
ZSA ZOE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 350m.
KRACKALING - raced wide throughout despite the efforts of driver B Williamson. Weakened from the 500m. Hampered and broke when runners to the inside shifted out near the 350m.
PRINCE TEKA - when questioned regarding the improved performance driver K Cameron advised the gelding had raced more tractably in front and had been suited to the shorter distance of today's race.
MASTERLY - raced wide early. Broke near the 350m and shifted outwards hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
T K MEGASTAR - raced wide early.
IT'S SO EASY - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Hampered by a breaking runner after 150m.
MAGIC DASH - out of position at the start. Driver R Close was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice. Held up final bend.
SHEZ BELLA - driver D Ferguson was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
Race 5   GRAPHITE DEVELOPMENTS LTD MOBILE PACE
WATCH THAT MAN - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1100m.
DEFY ME - over-raced and became awkwardly placed to the back of CARRERA RAPIDO racing into the first bend having to be steadied. Again over-raced when there was a slight easing of the pace near the 1100m and shifted outwards hampering trailing runners and broke. Stewards questioned driver Z Butcher regarding the performance who advised the horse had raced greenly on the bends and objected to being restrained. Stewards placed a warning on the racing record of the gelding. A post-race veterinary examination at the request of the connections revealed swelling on a hind leg which was treated.
DONEGAL LUTHER - raced wide early.
MANDALAY BAY - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1100m. Broke near the 200m hampering a trailing runner. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming. A post-race veterinary examination at the request of trainer/driver B Butt revealed no abnormalities.
CARRERA RAPIDO - held up rounding the final bend.
TIDE AND TIME - paced roughly as the start was effected. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1100m. Raced wide from the 700m.
DANCE WITH THE BOSS - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1100m. Again hampered by a breaking runner near the 200m.
BLUE ROCK DANCER - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1100m. Over-raced middle stages. Held up rounding the final bend.
Race 6   XCM SPORT HANDICAP TROT
WILLANGUS LAD - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Broke after 100m losing considerable ground. Broke again near the 300m losing all chance.
GREENBANK DON - broke at the start hampering a trailing runner losing considerable ground. Lay inwards near the 900m striking track markers.
EUROSTYLE - broke near the 2050m losing ground. Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation during the running.
CONFESSIONAL - broke shortly after the start hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
CODY BANNER - hampered by a breaking runner at the start. Trotted roughly rounding the final bend before breaking early in the run home losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
DELSON - began awkwardly. Lay inwards and struck track markers near the 2100m. Driver R Holmes was warned for half carting near the 1300m. Weakened final bend.
DOMINATION'S CALL - late scratching at 7.00am on Veterinary advice.
GALWAY GIRL - hung inwards and struck a track marker on the final bend. Hung outwards throughout the run home and shifted up the track despite the efforts of driver C Thornley. Mr Thornley advised the removable deafeners were not activated in consequence and he would be recommending gear changes prior to the mare racing next.
UNICO VACANZA - hampered and broke after 100m.
Race 7   DUNSTAN HORSEFEEDS SIRES' STAKES SERIES FINAL (MOBILE PACE)
ANYTIME AT ALL - crowded racing into the first bend and struck several track markers. Weakened final bend.
TREACHEROUS BABY - crowded and checked by an outside runner racing into the first bend.
TREACHEROUS LOVE - driver R May defended a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) alleging he drove carelessly when shifting ground racing into the first bend when not sufficiently clear resulting in TREACHEROUS BABY and ANYTIME AT ALL being checked. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and R May the Adjudicative Committee upheld the charge and suspended Mr May's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 3 December 2023 (6 days).
KISS - weakened from the 400m.
MELODY BANNER - broke as the start was effected losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
MADRID - paced roughly in the early stages losing ground.
MIKI'S BEAUTY - paced roughly for a distance passing the 1400m losing ground.
WATERFRONT - weakened final bend.

KIKORANGI BLUE - broke near the 800m hampering trailing runners losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
TAYLA ME - paced roughly then broke near the 850m hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.

MANHATTAN - the boring pole detached late in the run home and fell to the track shortly after the finish line This gear was inspected and found to be in good condition with trainer B Butt deemed not to be at fault. Driver B Butt admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Butt's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 26 November 2023 (3 days) and in addition imposed a fine of $175.
Race 9   RENWICK FARMS DOMINION (STAND TROT)
TU TANGATA - began awkwardly losing ground.
HAROLD SMITH - slow to begin.
MYSTIC MAX - held up final bend and early stages of the run home.
EUROKASH - connections advised the gelding would be racing without shoes. Over-raced when being restrained to obtain cover near the 1800m. Broke near the 900m hampering a trailing runner losing ground.
LOVE N THE PORT - raced wide early. When questioned regarding the performance driver M Williamson was of the opinion the gelding had failed to back up after racing on Tuesday.
OSCAR BONAVENA - pre-race warmed.
RESOLVE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 900m.
OUTAMYWAY - trotted roughly rounding the final bend.
MUSCLE MOUNTAIN - weakened from the 1200m and immediately retired from the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance including the results of an ECG prior to completing one satisfactory trial before resuming.
Race 10   ADVANCED JOINERY MOBILE PACE
MAJOR TORQUE - when questioned regarding the improved performance driver S Ottley advised the gelding had been suited to the favourable barrier draw and receiving an economical run throughout compared to its last start when having to race wide without cover from the 700m.
WILLISON - checked near the 50m when an inside runner shifted outwards.
JACK TAR - raced wide early.
MCCRIKEY - held up final bend and until late in the run home.
EVANGALIST - raced wide early. Held up final bend and throughout the run home.
DALTON SHARD - raced wide from the 1600m and without cover from the 1300m. Weakened final bend.
HE'S A MEISTER - held up early and middle stages of the run home. Driver K Green admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that she drove carelessly when shifting outwards abruptly near the 50m checking WILLISON. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Miss Green's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 19 November up to and including 8 December 2023 (3 days).
WATERMELON SUGAR - out of position at the start. Driver C Dalgety was issued with a warning. When questioned regarding the performance Mr Dalgety advised he was disappointed and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
Race 11   AIRPARK CANTERBURY NZ PACING FREE-FOR-ALL (MOBILE PACE)
AKUTA - broke briefly when leading near the 1200m after its near hind leg became caught in the hopple shortener cord hampering trailing runners.
HEZA SPORT - lay inwards final bend striking a track marker.
SMIFFY'S TERROR - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1200m. Weakened final bend.
GOT YOU COVERED - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
REPUBLICAN PARTY - late scratching at 9.00am on veterinary advice.
MOSSDALE BEN - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1200m. Paced roughly over the concluding stages and broke briefly crossing the finishing line.
Race 12   THE BOX SEAT MOBILE PACE
DENY EVERYTHING - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
HERE'S HERBIE - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver C DeFilippi. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Held up early in the run home.
WHO'S DELIGHT - weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver G Smith advised the gelding may not have backed up from its run on Tuesday. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
CELTIC SPIRIT - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
DONMARO - weakened final bend hampering trailing runners.
HEISENBERG - raced wide with cover from the 1100m.
