Race 1   SAUNDERS ROBINSON BROWN HANDICAP TROT
IT'S SO EASY - trotted roughly at the start. Weakened from the 1100m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the mare. Stewards investigated a perceived breach of the Push Out Rule near the 2200m when LIGHT OF DA MOON shifted ground outwards onto CORMORAN STRIKE. After viewing the replays Stewards were satisfied IT'S SO EASY had not been forced to race wider and no further action was required.
MAGIC DASH - when questioned regarding the performance driver R Close advised he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation.
MASTERLY - broke after 100m hampering a trailing runner and losing all chance.
LIGHT OF DA MOON - weakened from the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. The connections advised they will have blood tests taken from the mare in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
PRINCE TEKA - hung inwards final bend striking several track markers.
MAUI - lay inwards final bend striking a track marker.
GIFT CARD - weakened from the 600m. Lay inwards final bend striking a track marker. When questioned regarding the performance driver C DeFilippi advised the gelding had been unsuited to the strong tempo throughout. A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination revealed an entrapped epiglottis. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
WILLANGUS LAD - weakened from the 700m. Stewards investigated a possible breach of the Push Out Rule when WILLANGUS LAD raced wider on the track near the 2000m. After viewing the replays Stewards were satisfied driver C Hart (MUSCLE BANK) had commenced his outward movement prior to WILLANGUS LAD reaching his sulky wheel and no further action was required. When questioned regarding the performance driver M Hurrell advised the gelding had been unsuited to the extra distance of today's race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery and signs of stress. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
CODY BANNER - trotted roughly through the middle stages. Again trotted roughly in the run home and lay outwards resulting in the gelding shifting up the track. Driver M Williamson was advised to make a better effort to maintain a straight course in the run home in future. When questioned regarding the improved performance Mr Williamson advised the gelding had benefited from the addition of half hopples and had been suited by the longer distance.
MISSILE - broke after 100m losing all chance.
THE BLOSS - weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver S O'Reilly was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation.
MUSCLE BANK - hampered by a breaking runner after 100m.
THAT'S WHAT WE DO - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Raced wide middle stages before weakening from the 900m. When questioned regarding the performance driver Z Butcher was disappointed and unable to provide any explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
Race 2   HYDROFLOW MOBILE PACE
STRAIGHT FLUSH - lay inwards racing into the first bend and struck a track marker. Weakened from the 600m hampering a trailing runner. When questioned regarding the performance driver G O'Reilly could offer no explanation. Trainer G Court advised the mare had worked hard in the early stages and had been unsuited to the strong tempo throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
MORE GOODA - hampered by a weakening runner near the 600m.
KIWI HERO - over-raced middle stages.
CHARLIE BROWN - raced wide early. Driver J Dunn was warned for the manner he used his whip in the run home.
CASINO ACTION - raced wide early.
HARRISON - raced wide in the early and middle stages.
SINBAD - late scratching at 7.15am due to being sold.
JOLIMONT - held up final bend.
LUVSTRUCK - raced wide in the early and middle stages.

ALMIGHTY FEAR - over-raced middle stages. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1100m.
DOMINATION'S CALL - Lay inwards and struck track markers first bend. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1100m.
GALWAY GIRL - hung inwards rounding the first bend. Driver C Thornley was warned for the manner in which he drove for a distance passing the 1900m when half carting. Hung inwards rounding the final bend and when shifting ground outwards made contact with the sulky wheel of NAZARETH. Mr Thornley was issued with a warning. When assessing this Stewards took into account there had been no consequential effects as a result. Switched to a pace near the 150m before breaking when being restrained.
NAZARETH - raced roughly shortly after the start. Trotted roughly final bend when weakening and shifted inwards near the 300m hampering an inside runner momentarily. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
ANDY HALL - raced wide early.
Race 4   GARRARD'S PACE
FERNLEIGH BLACKBIRD - hampered by an easing of the pace near the 2100m. Driver K Green was spoken to advisedly to exercise greater care when shifting ground outwards near the 200m after briefly hampering an outside runner.
ROCKNROLL DIVA - hampered by a breaking runner after 100m. Hampered by an easing of the pace near the 2100m.
TEMPO WARRIOR - hampered by an easing of the pace near the 2100m.
SHEPHERDS DELIGHT - checked by an outside runner near the 2100m.
KINGSDOWN ATOM - hampered by an easing of the pace near the 2100m.
HE'S TOUGH - checked by a breaking runner after 100m. Retired from the race after sustaining a punctured sulky tyre.
IDEAL CHEVRON - broke after 100m and shifting inwards abruptly checking several inside runners. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Hampered by an easing of the pace near the 2100m and broke inconveniencing an outside runner.
RAPID RESPONSE - hampered by an easing of the pace near the 2100m.
SZYBKA LANE - broke at the start losing ground Checked by a breaking runner after 100m.
RISE UP N DANCE - tangled away. Checked by a breaking runner after 100m.
ARNOLD LAYNE - hampered by an easing of the pace near the 2100m.
BORRISOKANE - checked and broke after 100m losing ground. Lay outwards near the 450m simultaneous to AMARETTO FRANCO laying inwards resulting in both runners breaking. Stewards were unable to apportion blame onto any one horse or driver and accordingly took the matter no further.
AMARETTO FRANCO - fractious prior to the start and was back from position causing a delay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Checked and broke after 100m losing ground. Lay inwards near the 450m simultaneous to an inside runner laying outwards resulting in the filly breaking and losing all chance.
BETTOR BE SHARP - hampered by an easing of the pace near the 2100m. Briefly hampered by an inside runner near the 200m.
MANDALAY BAY - raced erratically near the 2100m and shifted inwards checking an inside runner. A protest was lodged under Rule 869A(2) by driver B Orange (SHEPHERDS DELIGHT) placed 4th against 2nd placing being awarded to MANDALAY BAY (B Butt) alleging interference near the 2100m. After hearing from all parties and viewing the replays the Adjudicative Committee dismissed the protest. A warning was placed on the racing record of MANDALAY BAY.
OBSESSION - checked by a breaking runner after 100m. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 2100m.
Race 5   TAB JUNIOR FREE-FOR-ALL (MOBILE PACE)
There was a five minute delay to the start due to the protest in the previous race.
CELTIC SPIRIT - over-raced middle stages.
BACH - weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised the gelding had been unsuited to racing parked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
FRANCO SINATRA - raced wide early.
MERLIN - raced wide early.
DON'T STOP DREAMING - paced roughly in the early stages having to be steadied.
Race 6   K B ELECTRICS MOBILE PACE
HE'S A MEISTER - broke briefly after 200m hampering trailing runners. Paced roughly through the middle stages. Broke again near the 1100m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer/driver K Green advised she would be making gear changes prior to the gelding racing next.
TRIPLE G - lay inwards near the 1500m striking a track marker. Held up in the early and middle stages of the run home. Driver J Dunn advised the removable deafeners were not activated in consequence.
HELIUM - hung inwards in the early stages crowding an inside runner. Raced wide throughout despite the efforts of driver B Orange. Weakened from the 700m.
MIKI KNOWS - paced roughly when weakening rounding the final bend.
WHO'S DELIGHT - hung inwards racing into the first bend. Raced wide early.
FRANCO INDIE - hampered by a breaking runner after 200m.
CONEY ISLAND LOU - crowded by an outside runner in the early stages. Over-raced middle stages. When questioned regarding the performance driver C Dalgety advised the gelding had become stirred up during the running and had over-raced which had taken its toll.
LIFE OF ART - hampered by a breaking runner after 200m.
Race 7   NEVELE R '50 YEARS OF SUCCESS' FINAL (MOBILE PACE)
A false start was declared when SWEET COCO broke in the score up checking outside runners. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Underwent and passed a veterinary examination prior to the restart. Driver C Dalgety elected to remain in his allocated barrier position.
SWEET DIAMOND - weakened from the 500m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
SWEET COCO - over-raced middle stages.
PENNY BLACK - paced roughly passing the 900m hampering an outside runner.
TREACHEROUS GALL - raced wide early and middle stages.
WHAT A MINX - held up final bend. Hampered by an inside runner near the 200m. Stewards questioned drivers M Williamson (WHAT A MINX) and S Ottley (TOKYO ROSE) regarding this and after hearing from both drivers and considering their explanation no further action was warranted other than to note the circumstances.
AMORE INFIDA - raced wide early. Hampered by an inside runner near the 900m. Held up final bend.
TOKYO ROSE - steadied near the 1800m when WICKED WANDA shifted ground. Stewards questioned drivers S Ottley (TOKYO ROSE) and D Ferguson (WICKED WANDA) regarding this and after hearing from both drivers and viewing the replays no further action was required. Held up final bend. Again held up in the early and middle stages of the run home. Shifted ground outwards near the 200m and then lay outwards hampering an outside runner.
MANTRA BLUE - raced wide early and middle stages.
MILLWOOD NIKE - raced wide with cover throughout. Driver M Purdon was warned for crossing his reins late in the run home to perform a celebratory gesture.
Race 8   HORNBY LIQUOR CENTRE WORTHY QUEEN (HANDICAP TROT)
AARDIEBYTHEHILL - held up final bend.
MYSTIC MAX - tangled away.
Race 9   WOODLANDS STUD SIRES STAKES FINAL (MOBILE PACE)
MAJOR HOT - over-raced middle stages.
LE MAJOR - when questioned regarding the performance driver B Butcher could offer no explanation. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
SHARDS MATRIX - over-raced middle stages.
CHASE A DREAM - raced wide from the 900m.
Race 10   AVON CITY FORD TROT
MADELEINE STOWE - connections advised the mare has been served.
SPELLS OF LOVE - the required veterinary clearance was received. Broke after 150m losing considerable ground.
SALLY LINDENNY - broke at the start losing all chance.
ELIZABETH HILL - unable to take up its rightful position after SALLY LINDENNY lay outwards just prior to the start. Raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1900m. Over-raced passing the 1300m when being restrained to obtain cover. Authorisation of placings was withheld until Stewards had reviewed replays of the start with driver T Williams with ELIZABETH HILL being declared a non-runner after being denied a fair start.
MIXED FAITH - raced wide early. Trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
TRUE CONFESSIONS - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Raced wide early. Driver J Cox requested a post-race veterinary examination which revealed the gelding to be uncomfortable in its action. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
FIERY BANDITO - trotted roughly in the early stages losing ground. Again trotted roughly passing the 1900m losing ground.
Race 11   IRT NEW ZEALAND TROTTING CUP (STAND PACE)
The start was delayed two minutes at the request of the TAB.
PEMBROOK PLAYBOY - hampered by a weakening runner near the 700m.
REPUBLICAN PARTY - broke at the start hampering trailing runners and losing ground. Authorisation of the promoted 5th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation when in a break in the early stages.
KRUG - over-raced early stages. Hampered by an easing of the pace near the 2000m.
BEACH BALL - over-raced middle stages. Hampered by an easing of the pace near the 2000m.
KANGO - began awkwardly. Hampered by an easing of the pace near the 2000m.
MOSSDALE BEN - broke over the concluding stages and continued on in a break across the finish line. Stewards lodged a protest under Rule 870(5) against 5th placing being awarded alleging the gelding was lapped on at the finish by REPUBLICAN PARTY. After viewing the replays the connections did not contest the protest and MOSSDALE BEN was relegated to 6th placing by the Stewards.
ONE CHANGE - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 2100m. Weakened final bend. Driver B Williamson advised he had difficulty with the hopple shorteners near the 1100m. Mr Williamson defended a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) alleging he drove carelessly near the 2000m when easing the pace in an abrupt manner resulting in trailing runners being checked to varying degrees. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from all parties the Adjudicative Committee upheld the charge and suspended Mr Williamson's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 19 November up to and including 26 November 2023 (4 days).
OLD TOWN ROAD - broke at the start losing ground. Contacted the sulky wheel of HEZA SPORT near the 2000m after an easing of the pace losing ground. Weakened final bend.
MACANDREW AVIATOR - paced roughly shortly after the start. Weakened from the 700m hampering a trailing runner. When questioned regarding the performance driver M Williamson advised the gelding had hung on various occasions during the running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery and the gelding to be lame in the right front leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
SMIFFY'S TERROR - raced wide from the 1000m. Hampered by an easing of the pace near the 2000m.
B D JOE - held up rounding the final bend and then paced roughly near the 400m.
SWAYZEE - hampered by a breaking runner at the start. Driver C Hart was warned for crossing his reins late in the run home to perform a celebratory gesture. Mr Hart will also be spoken to in the coming days regarding the manner he drove in the home straight.
AMERICAN ME - required farrier attention prior to the start. Hampered by a breaking runner at the start. Raced wide from the 950m.
AKUTA - hampered by a breaking runner at the start. Hampered by an easing of the pace near the 2000m.
HEZA SPORT - hampered by a breaking runner at the start. Hampered by an easing of the pace and sulky contacted near the 2000m. Raced wide from the 1300m.
Race 12   GOLD BAND TAXIS MOBILE PACE
DOUBLE TIME - held up early in the run home and again over the final 50m. Placed in restricted room near the 40m having to be steadied and paced roughly. Stewards adjourned an enquiry into this matter.
JACK TAR - held up over the concluding stages.
MON LANCOME - lay inwards and struck a track marker near the 1100m. Came together with DALTON SHARD over the concluding stages.
STEPHS BOY - late scratching at 10am on Veterinary advice.
DALTON SHARD - came together with MON LANCOME over the concluding stages. Driver J Dunn advised his chances had not been affected.
JIMMYRAY - raced wide from the 700m. Paced roughly near the 350m.
