Connections advised Stewards on 10 November that MAZEPPA has recovered well following its last start and has had a change of shoeing since last racing.

Race 2 - SPEND MELBOURNE CUP DAY AT THE ALEX TROT
NOBLE COUNT - Trainer J Teaz advised Stewards on 06 November that a dental issue had been identified and subsequently treated.
Trainer T Mitchell advised Stewards on 10 November that subsequent blood tests and an endoscopic examination of ROCK ON JAZZ has failed to reveal any abnormalities and he will continue with the gelding's current preparation.
Race 8 - AUCKLAND CO-OP TAXIS 300-3000 HANDICAP PACE
Driver P Ferguson (BROOKIES JAFFA) defended a charge under Rule 868(2) alleging that he failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures to ensure that his gelding was given full opportunity to win or obtain the best possible finishing position by persisting with a challenge for the lead during the middle stages. After viewing the replays and hearing the evidence, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and suspended Mr Ferguson's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 17 November up to and including 30 November 2023 (4 days).

Race 1   THE ALEX BAR & EATERY MOBILE TROT
ROMEO FOXTROT - over-raced through the middle stages when attempting to restrain to obtain cover. Trotted roughly in the run home. Driver J Bublitz was warned for her lack of control leaving the final turn when allowing her horse to shift wider on the track when activating gear.
QUIK SHARNIE - raced wide early.
ORDAINED - broke racing into the first turn and shifted in dislodging a track marker before trailing the field throughout. A warning was placed on the barrier manners of the gelding.
Race 2   JACOBSEN HEADSTONES MOBILE PACE
SUNSHINE SHELBY - lay inwards near the 850m striking a track marker.
ESCAPE ARTIST - paced roughly rounding the final turn.
TUGAWAR - weakened rounding the final turn.
BENJAMIN BUTTON - weakened early in the run home.
Race 3   SERDAR-LINK BUSINESS MOBILE TROT
SAMS THE MAN - broke in the score up losing all chance and was retired from the race. A warning was placed on the barrier manners of the gelding.
PATRICK MAHOMES - lay inwards final turn striking several track markers. Weakened in the run home.
FLORENCE THE MACHINE - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier manners of the filly. Held up early in the run home.
TEQUILA SUNRISE - lay in entering the first turn.
BERTHA'S PRIDE - broke near the 1400m when improving to the lead losing all chance. Broke again on the final turn when trailing the field. A warning was placed on the racing manners of the mare. Treated by the Veterinarian following the race for a laceration to the off front pastern.
DOLLY P - Driver M Perriton was warned for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion leaving the final turn and early in the run home.
MARO MACKENDON - over-raced middle stages. Lay in early in the run home.
Race 4   NZB STANDARDBRED MOBILE PACE
LITTLE HOOFANANNY - lay inwards rounding the final turn striking a track marker. Paced roughly in the run home.
JAHI - when questioned regarding the performance Trainer/Driver M White advised the gelding had been unable to make up any ground with the fast closing sectionals.
PERUN - hung inwards and broke passing the 500m checking a trailing runner losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing manners of the gelding.
INVISIBLE - checked by a breaking runner passing the 500m losing all chance..

CLOUDING OVER - Trainer/driver J Cole advised Stewards that the mare is showing signs of coming into season. Back from position at the start. Mr Cole was issued with a warning. Held up throughout the run home.
ALWAYS B STUNNING - paced roughly approaching the 200m.
DUCHESS MEGXIT - held up until late in the run home.
DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER - back from position at the start. Driver T Mitchell was issued with a warning. Raced wide from the 1100m.
Race 6   JOHN GAVIN MEMORIAL & JAMES RETIRING MOBILE PACE
SIMPLY SAM - paced roughly early in the run home.
MONTANA D J - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
COS I CAN - held up late in the run home.
Race 7   MONDIALE VGL MOBILE TROT
FIVE O'CLOCK GERRY - lay inwards rounding the first turn and raced over several track markers. Held up middle stages of the run home.
KIWITRIX - broke near the 200m losing its chance.
BANGKOK BETTY - trotted roughly passing the 100m then broke losing its chance.
JASINOVA - trotted roughly at the start losing ground. Over-raced middle stages.
ALL CASHED UP(AUS) - hung inwards final turn before trotting roughly in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance Co-trainer/Driver B Hackett confirmed that he had encountered difficulty when attempting to shift wider rounding the home turn but was satisfied with the manner in which the entire finished the race off.
Race 8   OBEX MEDICAL - "LEADING THE FIELD" MOBILE PACE
NELSON'S BOY - lay inwards final turn striking track markers.
HAIL LUCIUS - over-raced middle stages. Struck several track markers in the run home. Driver A Poutama admitted a breach of Rule 869(7A)(a) with the Adjudicative Committee imposing a fine of $100.
HESASHORETHING - raced wide early and paced roughly. Again paced roughly when weakening final turn. Connections advised the horse pulled the off fore shoe at the start.
MIKI SHAN - raced wide early.
Race 9   CELEBRATE NYE AT ALEXANDRA PARK MOBILE TROT
ROSSELLINI - broke near the 900m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing manners of the mare.
MATTY A - trotted roughly first turn when placed in restricted room.
KEEP IT KLASSY - placed in restricted room racing into the first turn when an outside runner shifted ground inwards.
TRIFOLIUM - Driver L Neal admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that she drove carelessly entering the first turn when shifting ground inwards placing inside runners in restricted room. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mrs Neal's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 21 November 2023 (2 days).
A TROPHY WIFE - raced wide throughout. Checked by an outside runner near the 450m and trotted roughly losing ground. Weakened final stages.
DHONI TROUBLE - pulled hard in the score up. Continued to over-race when wide with cover early and middle stages.
SANINARMBRO - raced wide with cover from the 1100m. Driver R Downey admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly allowing his mare to shift inwards checking A TROPHY WIFE near the 450m. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Downey's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 24 November 2023 (2 days).
