Race 1   THE ALEX BAR & EATERY AMATEUR DRIVERS MOB PACE
JACCKA COOPER - raced greenly in the run home having to be corrected by its driver over the concluding stages.
NEYMAR - lay inwards and contacted a track marker near the 1350m when being steadied as NO ADDED SUGAR shifted down to trail the leader. Held up in the run home before breaking near the 70m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
PETER FORSBERG - paced roughly passing the 1400m hampering a trailing runner when being steadied off the back of NO ADDED SUGAR. Over-raced middle stages when outside the leader.
RIVERBOY BEN - had to be steadied passing the 1400m after being briefly hampered.
NO ADDED SUGAR - Driver F Phelan was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion and in a continuous manner in the run home.
PROVISEUR - Driver C Sharpe was warned for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
Race 2   SPEND MELBOURNE CUP DAY AT THE ALEX TROT
A false start was declared at the first attempt when the barrier failed to release. The barrier was handheld for the restart.
QUIK SHARNIE - crowded late in the run home when an inside runner lay outwards.
MAJESTIC BUNDY - broke at the start losing all chance. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts at the request of trainer M White.
ROSSELLINI - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
TAKE THE MONARCH - lay inwards and raced over track markers rounding the final bend when weakening.
BRIENNE - lay outwards late in the run home crowding an outside runner.
NOBLE COUNT - hung outwards throughout causing driver S Abernethy some difficulty and struck track markers near the 1250m. Hampered by a weakening runner final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
DHONI TROUBLE - slow in the early stages and trotted roughly losing considerable ground. Continued to trot roughly at various stages throughout.
ROCK ON JAZZ - raced wide early. Weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and a slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
EYE LOVE YOU - lay outwards throughout the run home.
NOBLE COUNT - Trainer J Teaz advised Stewards on 06 November that a dental issue had been identified and subsequently treated.
Race 3   GALLAGHER FORMERLY CROMBIE LOCKWOOD MOBILE PACE
LITTLE HOOFANANNY - held up by a weakening runner final bend. Lay outwards throughout the run home.
SHARKNTATTIES - over-raced early and middle stages. Weakened final bend hampering trailing runners.
MR BONDI - raced keenly middle stages when leading.
CUPIDS ARROW - paced roughly passing the 1800m. Again paced roughly early in the run home when weakening. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver Z Butcher advised that he was not disappointed with the run given the strong tempo throughout and the colt will now be turned out for a spell.
HAROLD HANOVER - held up early in the run home.
MAJOR JAY - out of position at the candy pole and start. Driver T Herlihy was issued with a warning. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver T Herlihy advised that he was pleased with the gelding's effort considering the strong tempo throughout and having to improve wide on the final bend.
Race 4   GRAND PARK TROT
PATRICK MAHOMES - swung sideways when the barrier was released checking an outside runner. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts at the request of the connections.
SAMS THE MAN - checked at the start by an inside runner and broke with the gelding shifting outwards checking outside runners, losing all chance.
CHELSEA HOTEL - checked shortly after the start when having to take evasive action. Broke near the 800m hampering a trailing runner losing considerable ground. Broke again in the run home after being hampered by a breaking runner losing all chance.
MARO MACKENDON - slow in the early stages. Hung inwards at various stages throughout.
TEQUILA SUNRISE - checked by an inside runner shortly after the start and broke losing all chance.
DOLLY P - over-raced middle stages when trailing the leader. Broke near the 150m losing all chance.
FLORENCE THE MACHINE - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 800m. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied that the filly had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages. Driver A Poutama was warned for striking a track marker in the run home.
Race 5   CAPTAIN CRUNCH AT ALABAR MOBILE PACE
YOURDOINAMAZINSWEETY - lay outwards under pressure in the run home.
MILLIES SENSATION - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner. Driver N Delany reported that he sustained a punctured sulky tyre in this incident.
CLOUDING OVER - raced wide early. Hampered by a weakening runner final bend and struck the sulky wheel of MILLIES SENSATION despite the efforts of driver J Cole. Lay outwards in the run home crowding an outside runner.
MANDOWN - raced wide early.
PARK LANE - crowded by an inside runner in the run home.
TUGAWAR - lay inwards near the 1250m striking a track marker. Held up for clear racing room over the concluding stages.
MARGHERITA - raced over the final track marker in the run home when placed in restricted room.
Race 6   LONE STAR ALEXANDRA PARK HANDICAP TROT
TRUE STORY - lay inwards rounding the first bend dislodging several track markers. Lay inwards and contacted a further track marker near the 1250m.
FIVE O'CLOCK GERRY - lay inwards contacting several track markers near the 900m.
WISHING STAR - lay inwards near the 2300m striking a track marker.
Race 7   PEBBLE BEACH NEW AT ALABAR MOBILE PACE
NELSON'S BOY - lay inwards passing the 1300m striking track markers. Held up throughout the run home when unable to obtain clear running.
LINCOLN RIVER - over-raced middle stages. Held up final turn and early in the run home.
JETHRO BODINE - Driver T Herlihy reported that he dropped his near side rein approaching the 50m when attempting to activate the removable deafeners.
Race 8   AUCKLAND CO-OP TAXIS 300-3000 HANDICAP PACE
FRANKIE MAJOR - broke briefly at the start. Lay inwards and struck track markers leaving the final bend.
DONTSTOPMENOW - broke at the start losing ground before settling. Weakened leaving the final bend.
BROOKIES JAFFA - commenced to weaken rounding the final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards questioned driver P Ferguson regarding the tactics he adopted in the middle stages when unsuccessfully challenging MAGIC FOUR for the lead. After considering his explanation, Stewards issued a charge under Rule 868(2) alleging that he failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures to ensure that his gelding was given full opportunity to win or obtain the best possible finishing position by persisting with a challenge for the lead during the middle stages. The charge was adjourned sine die.
FERNLEIGH CASH - weakened leaving the final bend after attempting to improve wide from the 600m.
