HIGH NOON - hampered by a weakening runner passing the 500m. Driver S Whatuira was questioned regarding her decision to shift inwards near the 500m and not follow the improving three wide line. Miss Whatuira advised that the gelding had trotted roughly for a distance passing the 600m and then when activating the earplugs became awkwardly placed to the inside of the improving BONEY M, this resulted in her being unable to avoid the weakening GOLD FIRE. After viewing the replays and hearing from Miss Whatuira, Stewards advised her that she is expected to show better judgment in future and not leave her drives open to query. | |
