Stewards questioned drivers J Cox (SWEET DIAMOND), R May (SEACRACKA) and Z Butcher (LUVSTRUCK) regarding this incident and after viewing the replays and considering their explanation, Stewards issued a charge against Mr Cox alleging he drove carelessly when shifting ground outwards into a run which was not present resulting in his horse breaking with trailing runners also being hampered. Mr Cox admitted the breach and after hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Cox's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 8 October up to and including 15 October 2023 (3 days). | |
