Race 1   LONE STAR SIRE STAKES PRELUDE MOBILE TROT
DREAMS PAT - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. Broke passing the 600m losing further ground. Authorisation of this runner's 2nd placing was briefly withheld until Stewards were satisfied that the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
MEGABAND - out of position at the start. Stood down for mobile starts pending a satisfactory trial. Lay in and lost ground rounding the first turn. Continued to lay in at various stages. Trainer B Mangos advised that he will be turning the gelding out for a spell.
BOLT FOR THE HILL - out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. Broke rounding the final turn hampering trailing runners losing all chance.
PARAMOUNT KIWI - Driver M White advised that he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
FLORENCE THE MACHINE - hampered by a breaking runner final turn.
Race 2   TOTE BURGER MOBILE PACE
LENNY LINCOLN - raced in restricted room rounding the first turn when to the inside of DESERT DAWN and PARK LANE which both lay in. Held up early in the run home.
WORKS FOR ME - raced greenly entering the back straight the first time losing the back of DESERT DAWN which enabled LIZZI QUESTRO to shift down to fill the position.
DESERT DAWN - lay inwards rounding the first turn when to the inside of PARK LANE placing an inside runner in restricted room.
LIZZI QUESTRO - raced wide early.
ALWAYS B ELITE - raced wide early before improving to the lead near the 1500m.
THE SURFER - raced wide early before crossing to the parked position near the 1500m. Over-raced briefly middle stages when being restrained to take a trail.
HEAVEN HIGH - locked wheels briefly with SLOTS passing the 200m.
LITTLE HOOFANANNY - hung inwards and paced roughly passing the 900m. Lay inwards final turn striking several track markers.
SLOTS - locked wheels briefly with HEAVEN HIGH passing the 200m.
Race 3   CHRISTMAS @ THE RACEWAY TICKETS ON SALE NOW MOBILE TROT
WISH FOR FISH - broke at the start hampering a trailing runner and settled at the rear. A warning was placed on the filly's barrier manners.
TAKE THE MONARCH - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground hampering a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners.
YA KNOW - broke near the 150m losing all chance.
ALANA - Driver S McCaffrey was issued with a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
COOL PHELAN - hampered at the start by a breaking runner. Raced keenly middle stages.
FLYING SCOTSMAN - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Broke near the 900m after the elbow boots became detached due to a rivet on the securing strap giving way. Trainer R Paynter was deemed not to be at fault and no further action was taken.
SONSOFTHEMERCH - broke rounding the final turn losing all chance.
Race 4   GAVELHOUSE.COM MOBILE PACE
MY GIRL LOLLIPOP - paced roughly rounding the final turn. Weakened in the run home.
SHARKNTATTIES - raced keenly middle stages when leading. Shifted in early in the run home when Junior Driver J Bublitz was activating the deafeners. Ms Bublitz (assisted by S McCaffrey) was shown the replay and spoken to advisedly.
WHITFIELD - had to be steadied passing the 400m and was then held up early final turn.
BROKEN PROMISE - had difficulty obtaining clear running early in the home straight and was then held up over the final 50m.
TOE THE LINE - raced wide early.
HAROLD HANOVER - held up throughout the run home when unable to secure clear racing room.
SPIRITED LOU - lay out racing through the front straight to receive the bell losing ground. Continued to lay out leaving the back straight the final time causing Driver M McKendry considerable difficulty.
SUPERTRAMP - raced wide early before crossing to the parked position near the 1500m. Paced roughly rounding the final turn.
DAY DREAMZ - raced wide early before crossing to the parked position near the 1350m.
Race 5   DUNSTAN HORSEFEEDS MOBILE PACE
MITCH - approval was given for the gelding to race without the notified cornell collar. Driver B Butcher was issued with a warning for racing over several track markers rounding the final turn.
CASSIUS CLYDE - raced wide early.
BENJAMIN BUTTON - broke early in the score up and was well back from position at dispatch. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. Held up over the latter stages of the run home with Driver S Abernethy not activating the deafeners as a result.
SUPER DUPER DUDE - held up over the final stages of the run home.
KATIES PRINCESS - held up throughout the home straight when unable to secure clear running.
Race 6   BARRETT HOMES NEW ZEALAND MOBILE TROT
PRINCE ENVY - broke early in the score up but was in position prior to the candy pole.
QUIK SHARNIE - broke near the 950m losing all chance.
CASTANA - checked near the 900m losing ground.
BELLATRIX - broke near the 900m after having been crossed by SHEZ BELLA, which improved to the parked position, checking trailing runners and lost all chance. An investigation was held into this incident. After hearing from Drivers A Matthews (BELLATRIX), D Ferguson (SHEZ BELLA) and viewing the replays the evidence proved to be inconclusive with no further action being taken other than to note the circumstances.
WINNERS TIME - lay in contacting track markers rounding the final turn. Authorisation of this runner's 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied that no advantage had been gained. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
KD ROYALTY - checked near the 900m losing ground.
TRUE STORY - checked and broke near the 900m losing all chance.
LOVE ON LINE - checked and broke near the 900m losing considerable ground.
Race 7   NEVELE R '50 YEARS OF SUCCESS' (HEAT 5) MOBILE PACE
WICKED WANDA - over-raced middle stages.
KAHLUA FLYBYE - Driver M McKendry was issued with a warning for using his whip free of the rein on one occasion in the run home.
PENNY BLACK - broke entering the first turn checking MANTRA BLUE and lost all chance. A warning was placed on the filly's racing manners.
MANTRA BLUE - the boring pole was removed prior to the start after the filly failed to warm up favourably. Checked entering the first turn by a breaking runner losing ground.
Race 8   DOWNBYTHESEASIDE MAKING A SPLASH MOBILE PACE
ROBIN HOOD - broke early in the score up but was in position prior to the candy pole. Broke near the 1600m after SPARKIE and WATCH YOUR BACK locked wheels briefly but soon settled.
SPARKIE - locked wheels briefly with WATCH YOUR BACK near the 1600m hampering trailing runners. Stewards were satisfied that both horses had shifted ground marginally in this incident and took the matter no further.
SUNSHINE SHELBY - hampered near the 1600m. Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the home straight.
BARBAROSSA - hampered near the 1600m.
VINCENTS GIRL - hampered near the 1600m.
MAJOR ACHIEVEMENT - hampered near the 1600m.
WATCH YOUR BACK - locked wheels briefly with SPARKIE near the 1600m hampering trailing runners.
MILLIES SENSATION - hampered near the 1600m. Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the home straight.
FRANKIE MAJOR - hampered near the 1600m.
