ZSAZSA BINX - broke near the 1000m checking a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
CHUCKINGMONEYAWAY - broke at the start losing ground. Broke again in the early stages losing all chance.
MUSCLE SASS - broke at the start losing all chance.
GOLD NUGGET - trainer A Ford was issued with a warning for presenting the gelding to race without the notified blinds. Began awkwardly. Broke near the 100m.
KING OF DIAMONDS - checked and broke near the 1000m losing all chance.
MISS MAVIS - broke near the 900m losing all chance.
GARY PLAYER - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
ALL CONQUERED - broke near the 1100m losing considerable ground. Broke again in the run home losing all chance.
THE GARDENER'S PRIDE - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after not having raced for a considerable period of time and was cleared to start. Weakened leaving the final bend.
Race 2   NORJO MOTORCYCLES MOBILE PACE
RAKERO SCOTTY - permission was granted for a shadow roll to be added to the gelding's gear after the horse shied at the crossing in the preliminary. Broke briefly when racing over the crossing near the 1700m.
STRIKE ME HANDSOME - broke at start losing ground checking trailing runners. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Weakened leaving the final bend. Driver G Hunt was issued with a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion early in the run home.
ARMINIUS - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after not having raced for a considerable period of time and was cleared to start.
KIWI LIGHTNING - weakened from the 500m.
DEAN JAMES - when questioned regarding the performance trainer L O'Reilly advised that he was slightly disappointed with the effort and would give consideration to sending the gelding for a spell.
BONNEY ELOISE - out of position at the start. Driver W House was issued with a warning.
MACY BLACK - over-raced middle stages.
GAUDI - checked by a breaking runner at the start. Broke briefly near the 1750m. Raced wide without cover from the 1200m before weakening near the 700m. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn could offer no explanation and was disappointed with the effort of the gelding. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Trainer T Bagrie advised that he will have blood tests taken from the gelding in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
FREEDOMS BEAUTY - checked by a breaking runner at the start. Over-raced middle stages.
DONEGAL LUTHER - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Trainer T Bagrie advised Stewards on 26 September that GAUDI has been sent for a spell.
Race 3   JOAN & PAUL DAVIES PACE
BIG GEE - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. Sent to the unruly position by the Starter for the restart where the gelding will remain for future standing starts. Raced greenly near the 1500m causing driver S Thornley some difficulty.
BETS ON - broke at the start losing ground hampering a trailing runner. Jumped the crossing near the 1700m and broke briefly.
HEAVENLY STAR - paced roughly through the early stages. Raced wide early. Weakened passing the 500m.
SHANGHAI LOU - underwent a post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination after driver J Harrington reported the gelding had been making abnormal breathing noises during the running which revealed an ulcerated epiglottis. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the gelding in the coming days.
Trainer J Harrington advised Stewards on 27 September he will be considering making gear changes for the gelding's future races.
ALTA SHOWGIRL - broke at the start losing ground. Raced wide early.
HANOI FRANCO - hampered at the start by a breaking runner.
TAKE THE DEAL - held up early in the run home.
Race 4   PAUL RENWICK JOINERY MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared due to FLYING ASHES breaking in the score up checking inside runners. Driver R Close elected to remain in his allocated position for the restart. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MORERE - late scratching at 8.50am due to track conditions.
MICHAEL EYRE - hampered by a weakening runner near the 500m.
THE WELSH DRAGON - broke near the 1300m losing ground. Broke again near the 400m. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
FLYING ASHES - hampered by a weakening runner near the 500m.
MAJOR CHEDDAR - weakened from the 500m hampering trailing runners.
OOGA CHAKA - broke in the score up hampering a trailing runner and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
DANA DUNDEE - raced wide early. Lost contact with the body of the field for a distance passing the 1600m.
PEARL'S A SINGER - paced roughly when racing over the crossing near the 1700m. Hampered by a weakening runner near the 500m.

T K NIHILATOR - broke near the 350m losing all chance.
MONARCH PRINCE - broke at the start losing ground.
SEBASTIAN COE - broke shortly after the start hampering a trailing runner losing all chance. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
ROYAL PARADISE - paced in the early stages having to be broken up by its driver losing all chance and was retired from the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be showing signs of muscle tie-up and was treated.
GOTTA TICKET - broke shortly after the start losing ground.
NATIVES INFERNO - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Broke near the 1400m losing ground. Cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
Race 6   KORBYN NEWMAN/BEN HOPE (JUNIOR DRIVERS) MOBILE PACE
HIT THE BEACH - held up until late in the run home.
PHONE TAP - driver H Sail reported that he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
FULL OF DESIRE - held up early and middle stages of the run home. Driver W House was issued with a warning for allowing the mare to strike the sulky wheel of JUST MICHAEL near the 300m when shifting ground inwards. In taking this course of action, Stewards were satisfied there had been no consequential effects as a result.
HES SANTAS EXCUSE - raced wide early and middle stages. Driver G Thornley was issued a warning for the manner in which she drove passing the 1700m when failing to have sufficient advantage over FLO MOTION when attempting to ease that runner down the track.
EASTWOOD DREAM - raced wide early. Held up middle stages of the run home.
BALTIMORE JILL - broke near the 1600m losing ground.
FLO MOTION - raced wide from the 1400m.
Race 7   BLUE SEPTEMBER (INVITED DRIVERS) PACE
The start was delayed due to the Starter not being satisfied with the manner in which the runners addressed the barrier strand.
LET'S GO RINGO - lay inwards in the run home.
KENNEDY - broke at the start losing ground.
STAR MAGIC - raced wide early. Broke when racing over the crossing near the 1700m losing ground. Broke again passing the 1500m losing further ground. Weakened leaving the final bend.
MOONLITE DREAM - hung outwards in the run home and shifted up the track despite the efforts of driver R Close. Mr Close advised that he will be recommending gear changes prior to the mare resuming.
HE'S A JACKALACK - broke when racing over the crossing near the 1700m losing ground.
HE'S TOUGH - broke at the start losing ground.
TOSSIES SON - broke at the start losing all chance. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
Race 8   DOWNBYTHESEASIDE AT WOODLANDS STUD MOBILE PACE
AMELIA ROSE - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
HEY TONIGHT - raced wide without cover from the 1000m. Paced roughly near the 350m after being checked by an inside runner.
BIG MAMA MORRIS - hung outwards throughout causing driver S O'Reilly some difficulty.
TREMENDOUS LOVER - raced wide early stages.
VINCENT VEGA - driver M Cations admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly near the 350m when allowing his horse to shift ground outwards checking HEY TONIGHT. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Cations' driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 5 October 2023 (3 days). Mr Cations was also warned for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
Race 9   MAJESTIC SON DG JONES MEMORIAL TROTTING CUP (HCP TROT)
MUSCLE BANK - trainer T Bamford advised Stewards the mare has had bone chips removed and had its fetlocks treated since last racing. Weakened leaving the final bend.
RESOLVE - broke at the start losing ground.
EUROKASH - when questioned regarding the performance driver B Hope advised he was disappointed and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
AVEROSS MAJESTY - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Over-raced middle stages.
MYSTIC MAX - trotted roughly when racing over the crossing near the 1700m. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised he was disappointed and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
JIMMY CARTER - broke at the start losing all chance and was retired from the race.
Trainer P Nairn advised Stewards on 25 September that RESOLVE has had its hocks and a fetlock treated since last racing.
Race 10   PHOEBE STUD (FILLIES & MARES) MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared due to WHO'S BETTOR breaking in the score up checking trailing runners. Driver R McIlwrick elected to remain in his allocated position for the restart. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
HAYLEY'S MEDDLE - hampered early in the score up however was in position at the start. Checked by STRAIGHT FLUSH near the 200m.
POETRY IN MOTION - hampered early in the score up and broke losing ground. Declared a non-runner under Rule 213(1)(j) after being denied a fair start when hampered in the score up and breaking. Starter D Gaffaney was shown a replay of the start and spoken to advisedly in relation to this incident.
ACENTO - hampered early in the score up however was in position at the start.
SUPERSTAR LEGEND - trainer M House was issued with a warning for presenting the mare to race without the notified anti-choke device which was fitted prior to the start. Raced wide early.
STRAIGHT FLUSH - shifted inwards near the 200m checking HAYLEY'S MEDDLE. Driver J Dunn (HAYLEY'S MEDDLE) placed 3rd lodged a Protest under Rule 869A(2) against 1st placing being awarded to STRAIGHT FLUSH (B Orange) alleging interference in the run home. After hearing evidence from both drivers, Stewards and viewing the replays the Adjudicative Committee upheld the Protest with STRAIGHT FLUSH being relegated to 3rd placing. Driver B Orange defended a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly in this incident. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from all parties the Adjudicative Committee upheld the charge and Mr Orange's driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing on 29 September up to and including the 5 October 2023 (2 days).
KRYSTAL DELIGHT - raced wide early.
BLACK PEARL - raced wide early. When questioned regarding the performance driver C Dalgety advised he was disappointed and could offer no explanation. Stewards will follow up in the coming days.
JUDGEMENT BAY - shifted outwards early in the score up hampering outside runners. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
TREACHEROUS MISS - hampered early in the score up however was in position at the start.
OLD TIME ROCK N ROLL - hampered early in the score up however was in position at the start.
MILLWOOD INDIE - when questioned regarding the performance driver B Williamson advised the mare had been unable to make ground in the run home after getting too far back from a wide barrier draw.
Race 11   DANCINGINTHEDARK STANDING AT ALDEBARAN PARK TROT
The start was delayed due to the Protest in the previous race.
LOVE IS EVERYWHERE - late scratching at 8.50am due to track conditions.
SINNER COOL - broke at the start losing ground. Broke briefly leaving the final bend. Shifted in passing the 50m checking an inside runner which broke. Driver R Holmes defended a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly when allowing his horse to shift inwards in the run home checking ALI LINDENNY which broke. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from all parties the Adjudicative Committee upheld the charge and Mr Holmes' driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 5 October 2023 (3 days).
SPEEDING SPIRIT - began awkwardly. Broke near the 250m losing all chance.
AIGUILLE - trainer K Townley admitted a breach of Rule 305(c) in that he failed to notify Stewards as soon as practicable the gelding had had a knee treated since last racing. After hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200.
ALI LINDENNY - over-raced early and middle stages. Checked and broke near the 50m when SINNER COOL shifted inwards losing all chance.
WHATS WANTED - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
HOLLY HIGHLANDER - trotted roughly in the run home.
NGAURUHOE - broke when racing over the crossing near 1700m losing ground. Broke again passing the 200m losing all chance.
MISS YO - late scratching at 9.45am on veterinary advice.
Race 12   RANUI HOUSE - BONE MARROW CANCER TRUST MOBILE PACE
BOBBY WATERHOUSE - over-raced middle stages. Held up throughout the run home. Driver K Butt reported that she did not activate the removable deafeners or sliding blinds in consequence.
AMERICAN SNIPER - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
JOSE QUIVERA - raced wide early. Paced roughly early stages of the run home.
MIGHTY REACTOR - over-raced middle stages. Paced roughly final bend.
