Race 1   BRECKON FARMS LTD FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
MIKI'S BEAUTY - lay in on a number of occasions throughout the run home having to be straightened by Driver M Williamson.
WAYWARD ANGEL - lay in through the middle stages of the run home. When questioned regarding the tactics he adopted during the race Driver C Ferguson advised he elected to restrain the filly early to obtain cover from the wide draw adding he did not want to go early and have to cover extra ground on the final bend when the pace was on. Mr Ferguson further added he was not disappointed with the performance given the filly was fresh up today.
Race 2   A W KYLE BUILDER MOBILE TROT
BLITHE - Driver B Orange reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
GRANNY ROSE - Driver B Williamson reported he was disappointed with the effort of the gelding and could offer no explanation.
Race 3   GOODMAN PLUMBING LTD TROT
VELOCITY JET - trotted roughly through the middle stages. Broke passing the 600m losing all chance.
SON OF THE CLEANER - slow to begin. Lay out on the bends throughout and in particular rounding the final bend causing Driver B Orange some difficulty. Broke passing the 200m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
Race 4   WINTON NIGHT 'N DAY MOBILE PACE
COASTER - paced roughly throughout the run home and broke briefly passing the 50m. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied the colt had not broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m and did not make ground when in a break.
ALWAYS ON SALE - broke at the start hampering a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Over-raced middle stages.
BEAUDIENE BLAZE - hampered and broke racing into the first bend. Broke again rounding the final bend. Stood down to trial on one occasion to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming. Trainer J Douglas advised the gelding would now be sent for a spell.
RUSTENBURG - paced roughly late in the score up. Hampered shortly after the start by a breaking runner. Driver C Ferguson admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly racing into the first bend when shifting ground outwards hampering BEAUDIENE BLAZE which broke in consequence. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Ferguson's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including Friday 29 September (2 days).
THE MAESTRO - forced wider on the track shortly after the start.
Race 5   PLUMBING WORLD MOBILE PACE
MUCHO FUERTE - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
SLY TRICKS - weakened from the 700m.
Race 6   RYAL BUSH TRANSPORT LTD HANDICAP TROT
STEVE - trotted roughly rounding the final bend. Broke leaving the final bend.
TOP POCKET CHANCE - broke rounding the final bend losing all chance and was retired from the race. Driver B Williamson reported the gelding had been trotting roughly in behind.
Race 7   CARPET PLUS WILLY'S FLOORING MOBILE PACE
FIREFOREFIDDLE - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
SHERWOOD MAGGIE - hampered by a weakening runner final bend. Held up early stages of the run home.
WOLFENSTEIN - weakened final bend hampering trailing runners. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a high heart rate and poor recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
FALCONS WATCH - broke briefly in the score up however was in position at the start. Lay in rounding the final bend and struck a track marker. When questioned regarding the performance of favoured runner Trainer R Wilson advised the wide draw and the extra work to get to the lead had taken its toll, adding the gelding would derive considerable benefit from today's run.
CLYMENUS - held up final bend.
JOANIE MAGIC - Driver R Austin was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
JENNY GUMP - over-raced through the middle stages.
Race 8   WINTON WORKOUTS MOBILE PACE
HE'S A MEISTER - shifted down the track on several occasions throughout the run home having to be straightened by Driver K Green.
NUTCRACKER - held up for clear racing room throughout the run home.
Race 9   LATHER UP AT WOODLANDS STUD MOBILE PACE
TABASCO - when questioned regarding the performance of favoured runner Trainer/Driver B Williamson expressed disappointment and could offer no explanation, adding he would have blood tests conducted on the gelding in the coming days which Stewards will follow up.
JONIQUE - held up final bend.
MY PLEASURE - over-raced in the score up. Weakened final bend. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the gelding.
Race 10   NEXT RACE DAY HERE THURSDAY 26TH OCTOBER MOBILE PACE
CLASSIC MISSION - when questioned regarding the performance of favoured runner Trainer B Williamson expressed disappointment and could offer no explanation, adding he would have blood tests conducted on the gelding in the coming days which Stewards will follow up.
