KEYSTONE COMET - weakened in the run home.
BELLATRIX - Trainer/Driver A Matthews reported that the mare had cast the off hind shoe during the running.
FLYING SCOTSMAN - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
ALANA - Driver S McCaffrey was spoken to advisedly for the manner in which he used his whip in the run home.
DIAMANT BLEU - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
SONSOFTHEMERCH - briefly locked stays with WINNERS TIME near the 200m. Trotted roughly in the run home.
WINNERS TIME - broke at the start but soon settled. Improved wide from the 600m. Briefly locked stays with SONSOFTHEMERCH near the 200m.
SLY PUNTER - broke at the start losing all chance.
JASINOVA - lay in near the 200m before being shifted wider on the track to obtain clear racing room.
Race 2   OFF THE TRACK FOOD & BEV MOBILE PACE
DESERT DAWN - raced keenly through the middle stages. Held up early in the run home then raced in restricted room near the 50m.
PENNYS FIRST FLIGHT - became awkwardly placed to the sulky of ROCKAFILLY having to be steadied near the 1700m. Driver S Abernethy briefly dropped his foot from the sulky rest when activating gear in the run home.
Race 3   CHRISTMAS @ THE RACEWAY TICKETS ON SALE NOW MOBILE PACE
SPIRITED LOU - hampered briefly on straightening for the run home when THE MIGHTY SULLY shifted outwards. Driver M McKendry advised that his chances hadn't been affected.
THE MIGHTY SULLY - shifted out on straightening for the run home briefly hampering an outside runner. Driver M White was warned to make a greater effort to keep his runner on a straight course in the run home in future.
NEW YORK HUSTLER - Trainer B Laidlaw was issued with a warning for presenting the mare to race without the notified blinds. Weakened in the run home.
AMERICAN CLASSIQUE - broke at the start losing ground before settling towards the rear. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts. Over-raced rounding the first bend when being restrained to the rear. Raced wide without cover from the 1400m. Weakened final bend. Junior Driver N Delany (assisted by T Macfarlane) was questioned regarding the tactics he adopted during the middle stages. Mr Delany stated that his runner had proved difficult at its previous start and also over the early stages of tonight's event so he felt his best option was to look to improve to take up a forward position, however the colt had not performed up to expectation when unable to muster sufficient speed to challenge for the parked position. After considering Mr Delany's explanation Stewards took the matter no further other than to advise him that he would be expected to show better judgement given similar circumstances in future.
CHANGEALOT - held up briefly final bend.
WORKS FOR ME - when questioned regarding the performance Trainer/Driver S Reid could offer no explanation for the disappointing run. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Stewards will follow up with Mr Reid in the coming days.
Race 4   WHAT THE HILL AT WOODLANDS STUD TROT
EASY COUNT - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
REGAL GIRL - lay in under pressure over the final stages of the run home.
CASHEM - trotted roughly rounding the final bend losing ground. Driver S Abernethy advised that he had not activated the deafeners due to the gelding not travelling well.
HUGHIE WALLACE - broke at the start losing ground before settling at the rear.
HELSINGOR - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
SON OF A SUN - shifted out rounding the final turn. Continued to lay out throughout the run home.
NOBLE COUNT - hampered by breaking runner at the start losing ground.
Race 5   DUNSTAN HORSEFEEDS SIRES STAKES HEAT 2 MOBILE PACE
TREACHEROUS LOVE - shifted ground inwards to obtain clear running near the 100m. Driver P Ferguson reported that the filly cast the near fore shoe during the running.
HANNAH SOPHIA - raced wide early and middle stages. Weakened final bend.
CHANGE TACT - lay in at various stages and in particular near the 300m losing ground. Weakened in the run home.
SEASIDESTAR - over-raced in the early stages before being allowed to improve forward to lead near the 1100m. Weakened in the run home.
KISS - broke briefly approaching the first turn. Raced wide without cover from the 1100m.
Race 6   BETAVET MOBILE PACE
OHOKA ACHILLES - broke at the start checking a second row runner and settled at the rear. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Raced keenly through the middle stages.
CASSIUS CLYDE - swung outwards early in the score up contacting the sulky of BAD MEDICINE before recovering to take its position. Raced wide early. Driver A Harrison advised that the gelding had reacted badly to the boring pole early in the score up.
CLAUDE - raced wide before improving to the lead near the 1350m. Lay out throughout the run home.
MIKI MIKSTA - slow to score up. Checked by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
CLEAR LEFT - weakened in the run home.
SUPER DUPER DUDE - lay in rounding the final bend.
Race 7   WOODLANDS STUD SIRES STAKES HEAT 1 MOBILE PACE
SLOTS - weakened in the run home.
TUALOU - raced wide early before being restrained to the rear.
ESCAPE ARTIST - weakened in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance Driver T Herlihy advised that he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination revealed mucous in the trachea. Stewards will follow up with the recovery of the colt with connections in the coming days.
LEO LINCOLN - lay out rounding the final bend and throughout the run home.
COLD CHISEL - raced wide early before crossing to the parked position near the 950m.
Race 8   IRT. YOUR HORSE. OUR PASSION MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared at the first attempt when BEAUDIENE ROCKNROLL broke in the score up checking a second row runner. Driver A Poutama elected to retain his barrier position for the restart. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
BEAUDIENE ROCKNROLL - was taken up the track and retired from the event passing the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days. When questioned regarding the performance Driver A Poutama advised that in his opinion the gelding may have choked down after having become worked up following the false start.
BABA YAGA - lost ground rounding the first bend and trailed the field thereafter. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. When questioned regarding the performance Driver N Balle could offer no explanation. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the mare.
LADY LA SALLE - when questioned regarding the improved performance Driver B Butcher advised that the mare had received an economical run and was suited to the strong tempo.
LUKA DONCIC - held up for clear racing room over the final 100m.
BUGALUGS - Driver L Hollis was issued with a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
Race 9   DOWNBYTHESEASIDE MAKING A SPLASH F&M HEAT 2 MOBILE PACE
IDEAL DELIGHT - raced wide early. Over-raced middle stages when being restrained to the rear.
MHAI SURFER GIRL - late scratching at 11.36am on veterinary advice.
KATIES PRINCESS - Driver S Abernethy was spoken to advisedly for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
SMOKINHOTCHEDDAR - broke rounding the first turn losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Paced roughly over the concluding stages. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages and also had not broken gait late in the run home.
Race 10   WATCH THE RUGBY WORLD CUP@THE CLUBHOUSE SPORTS BAR TROT
CAVIAR NOIRE - lay inwards under pressure throughout the run home.
KEEP IT KLASSY - broke at the start losing all chance.
MAKE THINGS HAPPEN - lay out racing down the back straight the final time. Lay in and contacted a track marker near the 250m. Shifted up the track in the run home.
TEQUILA SUNRISE - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
ARADNE - broke near the 250m and raced over a track marker before settling approaching the 150m. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the filly had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation. Driver T Mitchell advised this runner had broken after reacting badly to MAKE THINGS HAPPEN, which he was trailing, contacting a track marker near the 250m.
LADY LARNI - broke near the 1800m losing considerable ground. Held up by a weakening runner near the 400m.
BECKY GEE - slow in the early stages.
