Race 1   IRT. YOUR HORSE. OUR PASSION HANDICAP TROT
IT'S SO EASY - struck a track marker near the 500m. Driver P Davis was issued with a warning. Lay inwards throughout the run home. Authorisation of 1st placing was withheld until Stewards had reviewed the replays and were satisfied the mare had not gained an advantage when striking a track marker near the 500m after improving to the inside of THE ROYAL GAMBLE which was laying out.
SINNER COOL - struck a track marker leaving the final bend. Driver R Holmes was issued with a warning.
MR LOVE - began awkwardly. Broke passing the 1700m losing considerable ground. Trotted roughly at various stages throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a laceration to the left front heel.
SASSY STAR - driver K Butt advised the mare had trotted roughly throughout the run home.
THE ROYAL GAMBLE - lay outwards throughout the back straight on the final occasion when leading which enabled IT'S SO EASY to improve to its inside near the 500m. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Stormont advised he was disappointed with the effort and Stewards will follow up the recovery of the gelding with trainer F Fletcher in the coming days. Mr Stormont admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion for a distance passing the 1500m. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $500.
Race 2   AIRPARK CANTERBURY MOBILE PACE
RUSHKINOFF - crowded by an outside runner after 200m having to be steadied.
LUCIFER - driver R Close was warned for the manner he drove after 200m when crowding an inside runner.
TOBY TOM B - held up early in the run home.
ARDEN'S IDEAL - over-raced early and middle stages.
GATECRASHER - raced wide early before being restrained to the rear of the field.
Race 3   ADDINGTON CUP WEEK ON SALE 31 AUGUST MOBILE PACE
DANCE TILL DAWN - connections advised Stewards the mare has had a wind operation since last racing. Over-raced middle stages.
HERB - hung outwards in the run home and shifted up the track coming together with WITH STYLE on several occasions. Driver R Close reported the gelding had hung outwards causing him difficulty. Notwithstanding this Mr Close was warned to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.
WITH STYLE - came together with HERB on several occasions which had hung outwards in the run home.
LONE WOLF - hung inwards final bend and throughout the run home.
Race 4   XCM SPORT 'BASIL DEAN TROTTING FREE-FOR-ALL' (MOBILE TROT)
RACHMANINOV - lay inwards rounding the bends. Struck a track marker leaving the final bend. Driver T Grant was issued with a warning.
DOMINATION'S CALL - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the final bend.
JIMMY CARTER - hung inwards and broke rounding the final bend hampering a trailing runner.
AARDIEBYTHEHILL - raced wide early.
MIDNIGHT DASH - raced wide from the 700m.
Race 5   NEVELE R '50 YEARS OF SUCCESS' (Heat 1) MOBILE PACE
AMORE INFIDA - hung inwards throughout the run home.
MYSTIFY ME - when questioned regarding the improved performance the connections advised the filly had been unsuited to working hard at its first start back from a spell and tonight had appreciated an economical run throughout.
JAZZY STYX - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
ADVANCE PARTY - raced wide early. Stewards investigated a possible breach of the Push Out Rule near the 1500m when AMORE INFIDA shifted away from the marker line when racing to the inside of ADVANCE PARTY. After viewing the replays it was established that driver M Purdon (AMORE INFIDA) had commenced to shift outwards prior to ADVANCE PARTY which was racing wide on the track reaching the parked position. Accordingly no further action was deemed necessary.
AARDIEBYTHESEASIDE - driver T Williams advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
JUDINE - held up early in the run home.
Race 6   'LATHER UP' AT WOODLANDS STUD 2YO MOBILE PACE
ULTIMATUM - over-raced early and middle stages. Weakened leaving the final bend.
MAJOR HIPSTER - over-raced middle stages. Weakened final bend.
MAJOR HOT - over-raced for a distance passing the 1400m.
DOUBLE JEOPARDY - hung inwards in the score up.
MELODY BANNER - broke briefly as the start was effected losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
Race 7   ALLIED SECURITY 'MAURICE HOLMES VASE' (HANDICAP PACE)
DONMARO - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Hung inwards final bend striking track markers.
CORRAVALLY STAR - trainer R Todd was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the horse to race with sliding blinds which had not been notified.
SMIFFY'S TERROR - broke briefly at the start. Momentarily held up passing the 200m.
THE FALCON - when questioned regarding the performance driver S Thornley advised the gelding had travelled well, however, failed to respond when placed under pressure inside the final 300m and proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination at the request of the connections revealed a large amount of mucus in the trachea. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
FRANCO HOFFMAN - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
ALLAMERICANLOVER - over-raced middle stages.
Race 8   SENZ HANDICAP TROT
TI AMO BELLE - tangled away. Broke rounding the final bend losing all chance.
TU TANGATA - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
ONE OVER DA LINE - broke at the start losing ground. Driver J Dunn reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre leaving the final bend and that the gelding had cast a shoe in the run home. Notwithstanding this Mr Dunn was spoken to advisedly regarding the manner he drove when removing his foot from the sulky footrest in the run home and then applying the whip on several occasions.
GIFT CARD - lay inwards final bend striking track markers.
MIGHTY LOGAN - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
NAZARETH - raced wide early. Lay inwards final bend striking track markers.
OUTAMYWAY - broke passing the 2050m losing considerable ground. Lay outwards at various stages during the running. Switched to a pace near the 80m before breaking near the 60m and failed to settle. Stewards lodged a protest against 4th placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the gelding had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. After viewing the replays the connections did not contest the protest and OUTAMYWAY was disqualified by the Stewards. Junior driver R Harrison (assisted by K Barron) admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that she drove carelessly leaving the final bend when striking the sulky wheel of ONE OVER DA LINE which punctured. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250.
Race 9   BOX SEAT RETURNS 5 SEPTEMBER MOBILE PACE
AINT NO ANGEL - locked wheels with HELIUM in the score up however was able to take up its correct position at the candy pole.

KOWHAI SHADOW - over-raced when racing wide in the early stages. Returned to the stabling area with blood present in both nostrils. A post-race veterinary examination confirmed the mare had bled. Stood down for the mandatory 30 days with a veterinary clearance including a scope required prior to completing one satisfactory trial before resuming. Trainer M Jones advised the mare will now be retired.
Race 10   GOLD BAND TAXIS MOBILE PACE
CHOCO LOU - shifted outwards near the 1500m forcing MCCRIKEY wider on the track. Driver C DeFilippi admitted a breach of the Push Out Rule 869(4)(6)(b)(c) and after viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200.
BOARDING CALL - hampered by a breaking runner after 100m.
MCCRIKEY - hampered by a breaking runner after 100m. Forced to race wider on the track near the 1500m when CHOCO LOU shifted outwards. Hung inwards throughout the run home.
IDEAL CHEVRON - held up for clear racing room over the concluding stages.
SANTANNA MACH - over-raced early stages.
MIKI BENNETT - broke after 100m hampering trailing runners losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Hung inwards late in the run home.
GLOVER - driver B Butt was issued with a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion and outside the confines of the sulky in the run home.
TABASCO - hampered by a breaking runner after 100m. Held up late in the run home.
