Race 7 - DUNSTAN HORSEFEEDS MOBILE PACE
The adjourned enquiry to consider a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip & Rein Regulations against Driver D Ferguson (SUPER DUPER DUDE) was reconvened at tonight's meeting. Mr Ferguson (assisted by R Lawson) elected to change his plea and defend the charge. After hearing the relative evidence and viewing the replays the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and suspended Mr Ferguson's Driver's licence from the completion of racing on the 31 August up to and including 24 September 2023 (4 days).

VIRGINIA CLOWERS - broke at the start losing ground. Broke again near the 1800m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the filly's racing manners.
KEYSTONE COMET - broke near the 200m.
HUGHIE WALLACE - when questioned regarding the performance Driver M White advised that he was satisfied with the run given that the gelding had raced without cover over the early and middle stages and was up in class.
CASHEM - broke rounding the first turn losing all chance.
SLAINTE - broke at the start losing ground. Broke again near the 600m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
KISS MY PIXEL - raced wide early. Broke near the 250m.
SONSOFTHEMERCH - driver P Ferguson was advised to make a greater effort to keep his horse straight in the run home in the future after the gelding shifted in over the final stages.
BELLATRIX - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Broke again near the 1800m losing all chance.
HELSINGOR - broke near the 1900m losing ground before settling. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts at the trainer's request.
SON OF A SUN - driver N Chilcott was spoken to advisedly in relation to being back from the unruly position at the start.
ALANA - lay in near the 1300m and was slow to shift to a three wide position with HELSINGOR then racing wider briefly after having improved to ALANA's outer.
Race 2   HIRE A VENUE AT CAMBRIDGE RACEWAY MOBILE PACE
SHIRLEY BASSEY - weakened in the run home.
ILLUSTRIOUS ARDEN - driver N Delany was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
WORKS FOR ME - raced wide early.
ZOLTINA JAY - raced wide early before being restrained to the rear near the 1400m. Weakened from the 800m to finish distanced. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. A warning was placed on the filly's race performance.
CHANGE TACT - unable to maintain its position in the score up and was back at dispatch despite the efforts of Driver D Butcher. A warning was placed on the filly's barrier manners. Hampered near the 1750m.
SAVARNA - hampered briefly near the 1750m.
MY GIRL LOLLIPOP - raced wide without cover from the 1300m after being unable to obtain the position outside the leader which was being held by WORKS FOR ME. Commenced to weaken near the 500m.
NEW YORK HUSTLER - paced roughly late in the score up. Broke shortly after the start and was retired from the event with a broken hopple connecting strap. This gear was inspected and found to have been in satisfactory condition. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier manners.
ILLUSIVE SUNSHINE - paced roughly near the 1750m after having briefly jostled with ZOLTINA JAY hampering several trailing runners. Lay in passing the 200m and paced roughly after contacting the sulky of CHANGE TACT.
ROCKAFILLY - hampered briefly near the 1750m.
Race 3   FRIDAY STEAK NIGHT AT THE CLUBHOUSE MOBILE PACE
IDEAL DELIGHT - raced wide early. Had to be steadied for several strides as HEZA PLAYER shifted ground to its inside near the 200m.
CRISTIANO BUCCINI - over-raced when being restrained to take a trail near the 2000m.
NEYMAR - held up early final turn and then had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the home straight.
NO ADDED SUGAR - pulled hard in the score up. Driver A Harrison reported that she had been unable to activate the deafeners due to the release cord having shifted.
Race 4   OFF THE TRACK FOOD AND BEV HANDICAP TROT
The start was delayed when the field was turned out of line due to KD ROYALTY becoming fractious and SLY PUNTER's removable deafeners activated after the gelding reared.
ULTIMATE MOMENT - tended to shift in marginally under pressure and locked sulky stays briefly with RUBY RIDGE passing the 50m.
PRINCE ENVY - weakened final turn.
WINNERS TIME - broke for several strides shortly after the start.
KD ROYALTY - when questioned regarding the performance Trainer/Driver N Chilcott advised that she was disappointed with the run and would have blood tests conducted in the coming days. Ms Chilcott undertook to advise Stewards of the findings.
SLY PUNTER - the off side number became detached shortly after the start. Raced wide early before being restrained to the rear near the 1500m. Weakened in the run home.
GAZ MAN - over-raced middle stages.
RUBY RIDGE - locked sulky stays briefly with ULTIMATE MOMENT passing the 50m.
Race 5   CHRISTMAS AT THE RACEWAY TICKETS ON SALE NOW MOBILE PACE
THE ARTFUL GAMBLER - back from position at dispatch despite the efforts of Driver L Hollis. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners.
PENNYS FIRST FLIGHT - over-raced middle stages when outside the leader. Weakened final turn. Placed on the unruly for future mobiles at the Trainer's request.
SPIRITED LOU - paced roughly before breaking late in the score up and was back from position at dispatch. A warning was placed on the entire's barrier manners. Lay out and paced roughly near the 600m losing ground.
TOMALOU - over-raced early and middle stages.
Race 6   DUNSTAN HORSEFEEDS MOBILE PACE
YOU LITTLE BEAUTY - raced wide early.
WHOOSHKA - late scratching at 7.40am.
ZLATO - raced wide early.
MIKI MIKSTA - paced roughly for several strides near the 1200m.
BLAZING LOUIE - raced four wide from the 600m. When questioned regarding the performance Trainer N Chilcott stated that she was satisfied with the run given the closing sectionals when the gelding was caught wide and the manner in which he had finished on over the final 50m.
VILLAGE REBEL - held up final turn and early stages of the run home.
Race 7   LATHER UP AT WOODLANDS MOBILE PACE
D J ROCK - back marginally at dispatch.
BEAUDIENE ROCKNROLL - paced roughly in the middle stages of the score up.
LUKA DONCIC - back marginally at dispatch.
CYREN SHARD - Driver A Harrison, who declined the assistance of a Senior Driver, admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that she drove carelessly near the 650m by allowing her filly to contact and puncture the sulky tyre of PROVISEUR. After hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250. Ms Harrison reported that she had not activated the deafeners due to having the field covered.
RED QUESTRO - raced four wide from the 600m.
Race 8   TOTE BURGER WED-FRI MOBILE PACE
BROKEN PROMISE - hampered shortly after the start and stripped the off side knee boot.
AYE AYE CAPTAIN - shifted out passing the 150m when Driver B Mangos activated the deafeners and had to be corrected.
CASSIUS CLYDE - broke shortly after the start but soon settled. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners.
BETA PREPARE - back from position throughout the score up despite the efforts of Driver T Mitchell. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners.
MESSENGER BUOY - raced fiercely shortly after the start contacting the sulky of MAJOR MAJOR before breaking losing all chance and was retired from the event. The gelding was stood down pending a satisfactory trial.
Race 9   NZMCA PARKING AT CAMBRIDGE RACEWAY TROT
KEEP IT KLASSY - lay in near the 1200m contacting a track marker.
MR MONTY - broke for several strides at the start and was slow early.
MAKE THINGS HAPPEN - broke near the 300m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
