Stewards concluded an inquiry into an incident where ARNIES ARMY broke near the 700m when racing to the inside of DURRANT (O Kite). After hearing from all relevant parties O Kite was warned for the manner he drove at this stage of the race. |

HIGH INTENSITY - paced in the early stages losing ground. | |
ACTION PACKED - trainer A Wohlers advised the gelding has had its hind fetlocks treated since last racing. Broke at the start. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation. | |
KENNY'S CHARM - late scratching at 11.09am due to transport difficulties. | |
SON OF THE CLEANER - switched to a pace near the 200m and broke losing all chance. | |
ANDOVER THE KEYS - broke passing the 1700m losing ground. Broke again near the 500m losing all chance. | |
SON OF MAJESTIC - trainer A Wohlers advised the gelding has had its joints treated since last racing. Broke racing into the first bend losing all chance. |

BROCK - slow to leave the pre-race formation and was out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver B McLellan. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke rounding the first bend losing all chance after jumping a dislodged track marker. | |
GLENKENICK - lay in on the first bend contacting several track markers. | |
STILLYOURSHOT - lay in early stages of the run home having to be corrected by driver N Williamson. Mr Williamson advised he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered. | |
ARTMORE - hampered by a weakening runner rounding the final bend. Paced roughly through the middle stages of the run home. | |
EARL OF PEMBROKE - became awkwardly placed close to and jumped a track marker rounding the first bend then dislodged a further track marker and broke in consequence. | |
TACT RONIN - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver O Kite. A warning was placed on the barrier record the gelding. | |
SUMMIT ULTRA - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner, then lay in dislodging a track marker. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. |

MAGIC SIGN - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer J Douglas advised the gelding had benefitted from an economical trip and is best suited when saved for one run. | |
ELLZ ANGEL - when questioned regarding the disappointing performance trainer B McLellan advised the mare had peaked on its run in the home straight and in his opinion would derive considerable benefit from the race. | |
VAN LIBERTY - paced roughly middle stages of the run home. | |
BOARDING CALL - raced wide early stages. | |
THE MATRIARCH - held up until late in the run home. | |
LOU'S DEAL - slow to leave the pre-race formation and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Weakened final bend. |

Starter B Ward was spoken to regarding the speed of the mobile after several runners were back from position at the start. | |
SUPERFAST - weakened final bend. | |
FIREFOREFIDDLE - hampered by a weakening runner final bend. Junior driver T Nally, assisted by A Hunter, was warned for the manner he drove on the final bend when allowing his runner to make contact with the sulky wheel of THE JAFA EXPRESS. In taking this course of action Stewards were satisfied there had been no consequential effects as a result. | |
THE JAFA EXPRESS - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner. The near side sulky wheel was contacted by FIREFOREFIDDLE on the final bend however the tyre did not deflate. When spoken to regarding the performance driver K Tomlinson advised the gelding had over-raced early and after making an unsuccessful attempt to challenge for the lead she elected to restrain to race in the parked position from the 1300m with this effort having taken its toll. | |
LUCYS DELIGHT - raced wide early. Weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. | |
LIVY DESMA - held up on the final bend and lay in contacting track markers. | |
