Ms Hibell did not admit the breach with the hearing being adjourned sine die by the Adjudicative Committee.
After further reviewing the replays and considering the evidence tendered at the initial inquiry, Stewards sought leave to withdraw the charge under Rule 868(2) against Junior Driver L Hibell (assisted by N Chilcott) in relation to the manner in which she drove KD ROYALTY rounding the final turn. Notwithstanding this Ms Hibell was warned that she would be expected to show better judgement given similar circumstances in the future.

After viewing the replays Mr Ferguson admitted the breach but informed Stewards that he had horses to attend to and transport home so he sought leave to not attend the enquiry. The matter was adjourned sine die by the Adjudicative Committee so as to enable Mr Ferguson to attend the hearing.
CLAUDE - when questioned regarding the performance Driver C Hackett stated that the gelding had raced best when driven for one run so she elected to restrain early from the outside draw. Ms Hackett further explained that she had not received a trail into the race as she had hoped and had then been unable to make up ground due to the last 400m which was run in 27.6 seconds.
The adjourned enquiry to consider a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip & Rein Regulations against Driver D Ferguson (SUPER DUPER DUDE) was reconvened at tonight's meeting. Mr Ferguson (assisted by R Lawson) elected to change his plea and defend the charge.
