Race 1   IRT. YOUR HORSE. OUR PASSION. TROT
A false start was declared when LAVRA SOLITAIRE shifted outwards just prior to the start hampering ROYAL YANKEE. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
OPAWA PEAK - broke at the start losing ground. Struck a track marker rounding the final bend. Driver K Cameron was issued with a warning. Held up middle stages of the run home.
LIVING THE MOMENT - trotted roughly passing the 900m losing ground and again throughout the run home.
LAVRA SOLITAIRE - briefly hampered by an outside runner shortly after the start.
ROYAL YANKEE - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
PENELOPE HALL - driver J Versteeg was issued with a warning for the manner in which he drove shortly after the start when shifting ground briefly hampering an inside runner.
THE RIVER BOY - cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
WHAT A STAR - broke at the start losing all chance and was retired from the race.
AVENTINE - trotted roughly and broke passing the 900m losing all chance.
Race 2   DOWNBYTHESEASIDE 'MAKING A SPLASH' MOBILE PACE
JUDINE - paced roughly in the run home when under pressure. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised he was disappointed with the effort given the filly had received every opportunity. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
LOGAN ROCK - had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
SWEET TIZZY LOU - hung outwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Over-raced middle stages.
Race 3   TK PLASTERING HANDICAP TROT
QUIK BARBIE - trotted roughly in the early stages losing ground. Driver R Holmes defended a breach of Rule 858(1)(a) alleging that he anticipated the start resulting in his runner breasting the barrier strand causing a delay with the hearing being adjourned until Sunday 6 August due to Mr Holmes having to leave the course.
GIFT CARD - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the final bend.
MAGNIFIQUE DIMANCHE - trotted roughly for a distance passing the 800m losing ground.
MAD JACK - broke rounding the final bend hampering trailing runners and losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
KD HAWK - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the final bend.
Race 4   FAULKS INVESTMENT MOBILE PACE
HERB - late scratching at 8.00am on Veterinary advice.
IFYOUSAYSO - hung inwards when weakening final bend.
DANCE WITH THE BOSS - over-raced middle stages. Hung inwards and paced roughly at various stages. Driver M Williamson advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
Race 5   MATT HARRISON CONSTRUCTION MOBILE PACE
VENTURA - broke late in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
ADESANYA - weakened leaving the final bend.
UPTOWN FUNK - over-raced middle stages. Weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver R May advised the gelding had failed to settle through the middle stages with the effort taking its toll. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
KOWHAI SHADOW - paced roughly early in the run home.
Race 6   HYDROFLOW (JUNIOR DRIVERS) MOBILE PACE
ATARAH - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner and struck a track marker. Driver O Thornley was issued with a warning.
JUDGEMENT BAY - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.
EASTWOOD DREAM - raced wide throughout despite the efforts of driver Z Power. Weakened final bend.
NORTHVIEW PEG - hung inwards leaving the final bend and raced inside a track marker. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had not gained an advantage when racing inside a track marker. Driver A Fitzgerald was warned to make a greater effort to ensure his runner does not shift inside the marker line.
RUBY'S A DELIGHT - held up final bend. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
LIVE ON LEGEND - raced wide until reaching the lead near the 1150m.
EL TERROR - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
ELITE STYX - held up final bend.
BOARDING CALL - held up by a weakening runner final bend and struck track markers.
Race 7   ROSE DAKIN MEMORIAL HANDICAP TROT
TU TANGATA - held up final bend and early in the run home.
DOMINATION'S CALL - lay outwards leaving the final bend and in the run home. Driver B Williamson was advised to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.
Race 8   BOX SEAT RETURNS 5 SEPTEMBER PACE
ROCKENROLL GRADUATE - struck track markers racing into the first bend when crowded by an outside runner. Driver J Hay defended a breach of Rule 858(1)(a) alleging that he anticipated the start resulting in his runner charging through the barrier strand causing a delay. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Hay, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and imposed a fine of $250.
ULTIMATE COUNSEL - shifted inwards racing into the first bend crowding ROCKENROLL GRADUATE which struck track markers. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards had spoken to driver J Hay (ROCKENROLL GRADUATE) placed 4th, who advised his chances had not been affected and elected not to proceed with a protest. Driver J Morrison admitted a breach of Rule 869(7A)(c) in that he forced an inside runner to strike track markers racing into the first bend when shifting ground inwards. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200.

PACIFIC THUNDER - cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.

KING ARTHUR - over-raced early stages.
WOLF OF WALL STREET - paced roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MCCRIKEY - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
HAYLEY'S MEDDLE - paced roughly in the run home having to be steadied.
BLACK MACH - raced wide early.
SINBAD - co-trainer N Purdon advised Stewards the gelding has had its hocks treated since last racing. Raced wide until reaching the lead passing the 1000m.
