At an adjourned hearing held today, Junior driver A Cameron (RUBY MALONE) assisted by M Purvis, defended a breach of Rule 868(2) alleging she failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures when not shifting wider on the track rounding the final bend when an opportunity existed resulting in her runner being held up until near the 100m. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from all parties, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and Miss Cameron's driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing on 30 July up to and including 18 August 2023 (5 days).

PACIFIC CLIPPER - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver T Chmiel. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.
EL TERROR - crowded in the early stages.
AMBLESIDE DRIVE - paced roughly in the early stages crowding an inside runner.
HIT THE BEACH - driver R Alfeld was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
THE WELSH DRAGON - broke near the 200m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
FLOSSY REIGN - late scratching at 11.55am on Veterinary advice.
Race 2   THANKS TERRI RAE RACING STABLES MOBILE TROT
SUNNY SON - trotted roughly passing the 900m losing ground. Weakened from the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had bled. Stood down for the mandatory 30 days with a veterinary clearance including the results of an endoscopic examination required prior to completing one satisfactory trial before resuming.
RACHMANINOV - late scratching at 10.30am due to transport difficulties.
KOHLI TROUBLE - late scratching at 8.40am due to transport difficulties.
WINNING BONES - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner and lay inwards leaving the final bend striking a track marker.
FEARLESS - trotted roughly and broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.

TAKEMYBREATHAWAY - broke briefly at the start. Held up final bend by a weakening runner.

SPORTS BABE - lay out as the start was effected hampering an outside runner. Held up final bend by a weakening runner. Driver J Dunn was warned for using his whip with his foot removed from the sulky footrest in the early stages.
WOLF OF WALL STREET - crowded by an inside runner at the start.
WINNYZBACK - broke at the start losing ground. Hung inwards final bend when attempting to improve wide on the track. Continued to hang inwards in the run home.
TARTAN RAIDER - driver S Ottley was advised to make a greater effort to prevent her runner from shifting outwards leaving the final bend when leading.
JUSTACE - weakened final bend hampering trailing runners. Driver B Orange was warned for using his whip with his foot removed from the sulky footrest in the early stages. When questioned regarding the performance Mr Orange was unable to provide any explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a foot abscess in the right hind leg. The connections advised they would give consideration to sending the gelding for a spell.

Race 4   CONGRATULATIONS STEPHEN MARSH 1000 WINS MOBILE PACE
ATARAH - when questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised he was disappointed with the effort and was unable to provide any explanation. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
PHONE TAP - over-raced in the early stages. Weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.
FAST ACE - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts. Held up by a weakening runner final bend.
WRIGGLES RUFUS - raced wide early.
AVA ADORE - when questioned regarding the improved performance driver K Cox advised that the mare had appreciated a drop in grade from recent racing.
ROBYNS SHADOW - driver B Williamson was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
U R THE ONE - when questioned regarding the performance co-trainer C DeFilippi advised the mare had been unsuited to the tempo of the race and because of this had been unable to make ground.

The start was delayed due to RON MCKINLEY requiring a change of sulky.
CLAUS - began awkwardly crowding an outside runner.
FERNLEIGH BLACKBIRD - crowded at the start losing ground.

ABSOLUTE DYNAMITE - broke at the start losing ground
RAPID RESPONSE - broke at the start losing ground. Weakened leaving the final bend.
Race 6   CONGRATULATIONS JKB RIDDELL ON 900 WINS MOBILE PACE
NOT OVER - late scratching at 10.00am due to transport difficulties.
FULL OF DESIRE - driver W House advised he was unable to fully activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
FLO MOTION - raced wide early.
BIG MAMA MORRIS - over-raced in the early stages when being restrained to the rear of the field. Held up final bend by a weakening runner.
GLENTHORNE - raced wide early.
STRAIGHT FLUSH - trainer G Court was warned for a late notification of driver. Raced wide early. Hung inwards throughout the run home causing driver J Dunn some difficulty. Mr Dunn admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $400.
SIR MONTY - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.

A LATE LATE PRESSY - trotted roughly at various stages throughout. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1100m. Held up by a weakening runner final bend.
MAJESTIC WHISPER - hung outwards and shifted up the track in the run home. Driver M Heenan was warned to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.
KAHNTDOITALONE - weakened from the 500m. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver S McNally advised the mare was not suited to racing parked through the early stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Mr McNally was warned for striking track markers on the final bend.
STARLIGHT GAZER - broke when leading passing the 1100m hampering trailing runners. Broke again near the 500m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Trainer K Cameron advised the mare will be sent for a spell.
PAIGE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1100m.
FULL OF HOPE - broke passing the 1100m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
IZIA - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1100m.
SINNER COOL - began awkwardly. Trotted roughly racing into the first bend losing ground. Weakened leaving the final bend.

EASTWOOD IDEAL - underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the connections which revealed the gelding to be lame in the right hind leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
