Driver R Close (KING ARTHUR) was warned for the manner in which he drove when shifting ground and contacting the sulky wheel of BARNSTORMER near the 600m. In taking this course of action Stewards took into consideration there had been no consequential effects.

ULTIMATUM - shifted up the track abruptly near the 1100m when leading despite the efforts of driver G Smith hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
RUSHKINOFF - hampered near the 1100m. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Tomlinson advised the gelding had been unsuited to racing parked throughout.
TOUCH N GO - hampered near the 1100m.
ROSIE RICHTER - hampered near the 1100m. Shifted ground inwards in the run home when being driven out. Driver G Thornley was warned to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.
SAMVASA - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver J Curtin. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the colt. Hampered near the 1100m. Over-raced middle stages.
FIELD MAJOR - hung outwards and paced roughly in the early stages.
SPIRITUAL BLISS - held up leaving the final bend and early in the run home.
VINCHETTO - raced wide without cover from the 1200m. Hampered near the 1100m.
Race 2   THE CHOP A NICK SYNDICATE ON TOUR TROT
REWIRI HILL - trainer T Barron was issued a warning for being late to present the gelding on course.
OPAWA PEAK - trainer K Cameron was issued a warning for being late to present the gelding on course. Began awkwardly.
STUARTS BULLER BOY - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Broke again passing the 400m losing all chance A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
MAINBOCHER - broke passing the 350m losing all chance.
SIGNAL HILL - lay in on several occasions throughout the running. Weakened from the 600m before breaking rounding the final bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
MARKTHEWARRIOR - broke near the 150m.
HEAD EM UP - trainer P Nairn was issued a warning for being late to present the gelding on course. Broke at the start losing ground. Authorisation of 1st placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation when in a break in the early stages.

DON JUAN - fractious prior to the start. Hampered by a weakening runner passing the 600m.
ANN OFATHOUSAND BAYS - fractious prior to the start. Broke briefly at the start.
MR TEDDY - broke briefly at the start.
LOUIE VISTA - weakened final bend.
BEAUVIEW TOPAZ - weakened from the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer B Borcoskie advised he would give consideration to sending the mare for a spell.
COUNTRY GOLD - held up final bend.
PACIFIC THUNDER - weakened from the 600m. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised he was disappointed with the effort and was unable to provide any explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
Race 4   DARREN DEFILIPPI MEMORIAL (JUNIOR DRIVERS) HANDICAP TROT
The start was delayed due to GREENBANK DON rearing and charging the barrier strand causing a delay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
GREENBANK DON - over-raced in the early and middle stages. Hampered by a weakening runner near the 600m.
BENNIE AND THE JETS - weakened from the 600m hampering trailing runners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the gelding in the coming days.
SALVO - broke after 100m when being shifted inwards by an outside runner losing all chance.
MM SUNSHINE - connections advised Stewards the mare has had its hocks treated since last racing.
SWIFT DREAM - hampered by a weakening runner near the 600m.
LIGHT OF DA MOON - pre-race warmed.
T K MEGASTAR - hampered by an easing of the pace near the 1900m.
TI AMO BELLE - hampered by an easing of the pace near the 1900m. Weakened final bend.
KINK - hampered by an easing of the pace near the 1900m and struck the sulky wheel of TI AMO BELLE.
TRUE CONFESSIONS - raced wide early. Hampered by an easing of the pace near the 1900m. Hampered by a weakening runner near the 600m.
WYNBERG WATCH - briefly locked wheels with KD HAWK near the 650m.
THE FOX - driver C Hackett reported she sustained a punctured sulky tyre during the running.

Race 5   PI & GJ KENNARD BLOODSTOCK MOBILE PACE
SARGENT BEST - held up late in the run home.
JOAN'S RISING STAR - broke shortly after the start checking a trailing runner losing ground. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.
DELIGHTFUL STAR - paced roughly at various stages throughout.
AINT NO ANGEL - checked by a breaking runner shortly after the start losing all chance.
Race 6   SWEET SUCCESS WITH SWEET LOU HANDICAP PACE
The start was delayed due to DENY EVERYTHING requiring farrier attention.
BOUDICA - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
DENY EVERYTHING - weakened final bend hampering trailing runners. Struck a track marker leaving the final bend. Driver S Ottley was issued with a warning. When questioned regarding the performance trainer M Jones advised he was disappointed with the effort and the gelding would be freshened prior to resuming. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery.
EVANGALIST - co-trainer J Thomas advised Stewards the mare has been treated for a virus since last racing.
LIFES A BEACH - weakened final bend and lay inwards striking a track marker near the 300m. When questioned regarding the performance driver C Thornley advised he could offer no explanation for the mare's performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Trainer T Barron advised he believed the horse was feeling the effects of recent racing and will be sent for a spell.
Race 7   FAHEY FENCE HIRE MOBILE PACE
SOUTH SEAS ROCK - paced roughly and broke in the run home hampering a trailing runner. Stewards lodged a protest against 4th placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the gelding had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. After viewing the replays the connections did not contest the protest and SOUTH SEAS ROCK was disqualified by the Stewards. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
ULTIMATE BIRD - hung outwards in the score up and broke briefly resulting in the gelding being out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Weakened final bend hampering trailing runners.
STEP IT UP A NOTCH - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
ADESANYA - raced wide with cover from the 1100m.
LIFE OF ART - hung inwards and paced roughly at various stages throughout.
WARLOCH - hampered by a weakening runner final bend. Again hampered approaching the 50m by WILLISON which had shifted ground inwards after receiving interference from the breaking SOUTH SEAS ROCK.
WILLISON - over-raced middle stages. Hampered by a breaking runner passing the 100m and shifted ground inwards hampering a trailing runner. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards had reviewed the replays and were satisfied that the gelding had shifted ground inwards after receiving interference from SOUTH SEAS ROCK and therefore was not solely responsible for the trailing WARLOCH being hampered.
CASINO ACTION - raced wide from the 1400m and without cover from the 1000m. Weakened final bend.
Race 8   ELMWOOD TRADING CO. HANDICAP TROT
OUTAMYWAY - trotted roughly in the run home.
MASTERLY - driver B Butt was warned for striking a track marker leaving the final bend.
MAGIC DASH - held up early in the run home.
MAD JACK - raced wide early and broke rounding the first bend losing all chance.
MASTER CLASS - broke at the start losing ground. Trotted roughly in the run home.
WAI KEY WEE - trainer A Hoffman was issued a warning for presenting the gelding to race without the notified blinds. Broke near the 150m.
ROYAL DEL - driver J Stormont will be spoken to regarding the manner in which he used his whip in the run home.
KAHRESS - trainer R Holmes was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the mare to race with removable deafeners which had not been notified. When assessing this Stewards took into account that Mr Holmes had recently been warned in relation to this Rule.
Race 9   FIRST DIRECT TAXIS MOBILE PACE
APATCHOFGOLD - over-raced early when being restrained to obtain cover.
LIZZIE RICHTER - held up leaving the final bend.
EXECUTIVE BANNER - raced wide until reaching the lead near the 1200m. Weakened final bend hampering trailing runners. Briefly locked wheels with TEMPO WARRIOR after laying outwards when under pressure leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver R Houghton advised the gelding had worked hard in the early and middle stages to improve to a forward position after racing wide on the track and was better suited when driven with cover.
GLENTHORNE - hampered by a weakening runner final bend. Again hampered leaving the final bend.
TEMPO WARRIOR - held up by a weakening runner final bend. Had to be steadied after being crowded by runners on either side leaving the final bend and briefly locked wheels with EXECUTIVE BANNER resulting in trailing runners being hampered.
SMOKIN ANNIE - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
TREMENDOUS LOVER - hampered leaving the final bend. Held up early and middle stages of the run home. Driver B Orange advised the removable deafeners were not activated in consequence.
PLAYING WITH STARS - driver J Dunn was warned for the manner he drove leaving the final bend when crowding an inside runner.
