Trainer K Barron advised Stewards on 12 July that KALATRA has recovered well following its race and is continuing with its preparation for racing at Addington on Sunday 16 July.

Trainer M Purvis advised Stewards on 12 July that DANCE WITH THE BOSS has recovered well from its race and will continue with its current preparation. Mr Purvis added he will be considering making gear changes for the gelding's future races.

Trainer M Williamson advised Stewards on 12 July that blood tests taken from WINNING BONES showed the gelding to be fatigued and he will look to space its races in the future.

MATTHEW EYRE - broke in the score up losing all chance. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.
GEORGE ELIOT - broke near the 50m.
PENELOPE HALL - raced wide early. Driver J Versteeg was issued with a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
THE RIVER BOY - broke after 100m losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards confirmed the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.

HARRYS DEAL - raced wide early. Broke after jostling for a position passing the 1600m losing ground. Held up final bend. Paced roughly in the run home. Driver T Williams advised the gelding had been striking its knee. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards confirmed the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation when in a break rounding the first bend. Mr Williams defended a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) alleging he drove carelessly near the 1600m when attempting to shift TREMENDOUS LOVER down the track when not having a sufficient advantage resulting in his horse breaking. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Williams, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and Mr Williams' driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing on 16 July up to and including 27 July 2023 (3 days).
Race 3   FAT EDDIES MOBILE TROT
SEBASTIAN COE - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke again near the 200m losing all chance. A warning was also placed on the racing record of the gelding.
SUE'S DASH - became awkwardly placed close to the sulky of IZIA which hung inwards near the 350m.
TRUE CONFESSIONS - hung inwards early stages of the run home.
IZIA - hung inwards near the 350m. Driver B Orange advised he sustained a punctured sulky tyre rounding the final bend.
GALLEONS AMBASSADOR - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
LOVE IS EVERYWHERE - held up rounding the final bend.
Race 4   PERFECT STING AT MACCA LODGE HANDICAP PACE
HILDA MAUD - broke after 100m losing ground.
TAKEMYBREATHAWAY - began awkwardly.
THE REAL MCCOY - trainer G Smith advised that the gelding has been treated for a respiratory infection since last racing. Broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke again near the 150m.
ABSOLUTE DYNAMITE - when questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised that despite the slow tempo of the race the gelding had failed to run on and in his opinion may be feeling the effects of recent racing and the stable would be giving consideration to freshening the gelding.
RAKERO SLAMMER - trainer G Smith advised that the gelding has been treated for a respiratory infection since last racing.
Race 5   AIRPARK CANTERBURY MOBILE TROT
GIFT CARD - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver C DeFilippi. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
SWITCH ON - when questioned regarding the performance driver B Williamson advised he was not disappointed with the effort given the gelding was racing up in grade from recent starts.
KD HAWK - trotted roughly near the 40m and had to be steadied by its driver.
CLYDE - broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
T K MEGASTAR - broke as the start was effected losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
SPY DA MOMENT - raced wide early,
Race 6   DOWNBYTHESEASIDE MAKING A SPLASH FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
SMOKIN ANNIE - over-raced middle stages. Hung inwards in the run home.
TORNADO BANNER - paced roughly as the start was effected.
SWEET COCO - hung inwards into the passing lane in the run home despite the efforts of driver C Dalgety. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly. Mr Dalgety advised he would be recommending gear changes prior to the filly racing next.
Race 7   XCM SPORT MOBILE PACE
JUST HOLLA - raced wide from the 600m.
WARLOCH - held up final bend and throughout the run home.
WILLISON - over-raced middle stages. Raced wide from the 600m. Lay inwards early stages of the run home when placed under pressure. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Ottley advised she wasn't overly disappointed after being forced to improve wide on the final bend. Stewards will follow up the gelding's recovery with connections in the coming days.
Race 8   LIVAMOL MOBILE TROT
AVEROSS MAJESTY - broke passing the 1350m hampering trailing runners losing ground.
ZSA ZOE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1350m.
HAROLD SMITH - driver J Dunn advised he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
OUTAMYWAY - raced wide from the 700m. Lay outwards and broke passing the 300m hampering a trailing runner.
MASTERLY - trainer P Nairn advised Stewards the horse has been gelded since last racing. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1350m. Trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
DOMINATION'S CALL - raced wide early.
JIMMY CARTER - out of position at the start. Driver R May will be spoken to regarding this in the coming days. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 300m.
After speaking with driver R May regarding JIMMY CARTER being out of position at the start, a warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 9   AVON CITY FORD MOBILE PACE
KOWHAI NUGGET - held up early in the run home. Hung outwards and paced roughly over the concluding stages.
HIT THE BEACH - driver C DeFilippi defended a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations alleging that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. During the course of the hearing Mr DeFilippi elected to change his plea and admit the charge and after viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr DeFilippi the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr DeFilippi's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 16 July up to and including 4 August 2023 (5 days) and in addition imposed a fine of $200.
MIGHTYFLYIN SUPASTAR - late scratching at 2.25pm on Veterinary advice.
SPIRIT OF ANARCHY - connections advised Stewards the horse has been gelded since last racing.
VICTOR LUSTIG - driver R May was issued a warning for half carting passing the 1400m.
Race 10   FIRST DIRECT TAXIS MOBILE PACE
ITSAMONEYMAKER - weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised he was disappointed with the effort and the stable would have blood tests taken from the gelding in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
MIDFREW LUISIANABEAU - weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance connections advised they were disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the near fore leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
HELIUM - lay inwards when placed under pressure in the run home having to be straightened by its driver.
SOUTH SEAS ROCK - raced wide early.
AINT NO ANGEL - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
