Race 6 - DUNSTAN HORSEFEEDS HANDICAP PACE
Trainer R Green advised Stewards on 5 July blood tests taken from SIMPLY SAM after last racing showed the gelding to be suffering from muscle tie up which has been treated.
Auckland TC - Thursday, 29th June 2023
Race 7 - THE ALEX BAR & EATERY MOBILE PACE
Trainer J Dickie advised Stewards on 5 July that DOWNBYTHERIVERSIDE was showing signs of a viral infection following its race and has been turned out for a spell.

Race 1   TAYLOR ST CLUB CORPORATE MEMBERSHIPS AVAILABLE TROT
SONSOFTHEMERCH - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Broke near the 300m but soon settled.
ALANA - lay in entering the final turn.
THANK YOU - broke near the 500m losing its chance. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners.
ALDEBARAN ALLBLACK - trotted roughly after contacting track markers leaving the back straight the final time when racing to the inside of ALANA. Broke near the 350m losing its chance. Stewards questioned Drivers T Mitchell (ALDEBARAN ALLBLACK) and L Chin (ALANA) regarding this incident and it was established that ALDEBARAN ALLBLACK had lay in under pressure with Mr Mitchell not attributing any blame to the outside ALANA.
PHOEBE MAJESTIC - weakened in the run home.
Race 2   TOTE BURGER MOBILE PACE
MESSENGER BUOY - Driver L Hibell was warned for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
SAVARNA - held up over the final 100m when unable to secure clear running. Driver R Fensom was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
CAROLINA MOON - broke in the score up and was back from position at dispatch. Lost further ground racing down the back straight the first time then trailed the field. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.

LADY LA SALLE - held up early final turn.
COTTON SOCKS - lay in leaving the back straight the final time.
BUGALUGS - over-raced middle stages. Held up early final turn.
LUMINITE - raced wide early before being restrained to the rear.
MIKI MIKSTA - raced wide early. Driver L Hibell reported that she sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 1000m when contacted by MIDFREW LUCRE whose driver had been inconvenienced by a trailing runner. No action was deemed necessary given the circumstances.
CLAUDE - raced wide early.
BARBAROSSA - Junior Driver T Hanara (assisted by B Butcher) was issued with a warning for using her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
Race 4   IRT. YOUR HORSE. OUR PASSION MOBILE PACE
MAY DELIGHT - hampered briefly by a breaking runner passing the 400m.
WHOOSHKA - pulled hard racing down the back the final time. Broke near the 400m hampering trailing runners and lost all chance. Driver Z Meredith advised that this runner had shifted out marginally and contacted HEY MIKI DENARIO's sulky wheel with its off hind causing the mare to break. A warning was placed on WHOOSHKA's racing manners.
CALL SECURITY - had to be steadied approaching the 50m when momentarily placed in restricted room. Driver J Abernethy admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip & Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Abernethy's Driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including the 28 July 2023 (3 days).
LORD LOGAN - hampered briefly by a breaking runner passing the 400m. Held up early in the run home.
MY COPY - hampered briefly by a breaking runner passing the 400m. Held up throughout the run home.
BETTOR GRUNTER - hampered briefly by a breaking runner passing the 400m. Had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the home straight.
YOU LITTLE BEAUTY - shifted out on straightening for the run home when Driver T Macfarlane was activating the deafeners but was immediately corrected.
Race 5   GAVELHOUSE.COM ENTRIES DUE WEDNESDAY MOBILE PACE
BABA YAGA - lay out approaching the 1000m and lost the back of HAMPTON which enabled PETER FORSBERG to shift out to fill that position. Weakened in the run home. Driver N Balle reported that she had been unable to activate the deafeners due to the cord breaking.
TICKING OVER - raced without cover throughout and weakened final turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality.
ACUSHLA MACHREE - raced wide without cover throughout.
CLYMENUS - had difficulty obtaining clear running in the home straight with Driver M White not activating the sliding blinds as a result.
LETSGODANCING - raced wide with cover from the 1100m.
ROBIN HOOD - raced wide with cover throughout.
Race 6   BETAVET HANDICAP TROT
QUIK SHARNIE - broke near the 400m losing its chance.
DEL SHANNON - pre-race warmed. Commenced to give ground near the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Stewards will follow up with Trainer N Chilcott in the coming days.
MR MUSCLE - broke at the start losing ground. A final warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners.
MAJESTIC RUBY - contacted track markers entering the first turn. Lay in rounding the final turn contacting track markers.
RUBY RIDGE - raced wide early and middle stages before being restrained to the rear. Weakened from the 800m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. Stewards will follow up with Co-Trainers P & V Blanchard in the coming days.
Trainer N Chilcott advised Stewards on 11 July that DEL SHANNON has been sent for a spell.
Co-trainer P Blanchard advised Stewards on 11 July that RUBY RIDGE has recovered well from its race and will continue with its current preparation.
Race 7   DUNSTAN HORSEFEEDS MOBILE PACE
I'LLAVABUBBLES - had some difficulty obtaining clear running early and middle stages of the run home.
LOUTENANT - lay in entering the first turn placing an inside runner in restricted room. Weakened from the 400m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing performance.
MIKI NOEL - raced wide early. Held up throughout the run home.
MONTANA D J - raced wide with cover from the 1000m. Underwent a post race veterinary examination, including an endoscopic procedure, which revealed an entrapped epiglottis. The gelding was subsequently stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
ROUGH AND READY - lay in when improving three wide near the 800m.
NEW YORK MINUTE - raced wide from the 1100m.
CRUSADER - pulled hard in the score up. Contacted track markers entering the first turn when placed in restricted room by an outside runner. Over-raced middle stages. Held up throughout the run home with Driver T Mitchell not activating the deafeners as a result.
Race 8   ROTHBURY INSURANCE BROKERS MOBILE PACE
TOE THE LINE - hampered by a weakening runner and broke briefly passing the 700m. When questioned regarding the performance Driver A Poutama stated that he was satisfied with the run however connections would give consideration to freshening the gelding prior to resuming.
SMART AND MIGHTY - hampered near the 700m by a weakening runner. Broke approaching the 400m after having been shifted down on to the back of the weakening BELL FIRE by DANCE STAR losing several lengths before settling. Given the circumstances no action was deemed necessary on this occasion.
BELL FIRE - weakened final turn.
SPIRITED PEGGY - commenced to weaken from the 700m hampering trailing runners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormality. A warning was placed on the mare's racing performance.
SHIRLEY BASSEY - broke entering the first turn losing ground before settling. A warning was placed on the mare's racing manners.
Hampered briefly passing 700m. Paced roughly early in the run home.
Race 9   FRIDAY $20 STEAK NIGHT SPECIAL @THE CLUBHOUSE HCP TROT
MAKE THINGS HAPPEN - over-raced middle stages. Held up final turn and early stages of the run home. Driver T Macfarlane is to be questioned regarding his apparent lack of vigour over the final stages. Mr Macfarlane advised Stewards on 07 July that MAKE THINGS HAPPEN had become unbalanced entering the home straight when having to shift wide to obtain clear running so he had been reluctant to place the gelding under undue pressure as a result. After considering Mr Macfarlane's explanation Stewards took the matter no further.
EAGLE HANOVER - broke entering the first turn losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the filly's racing manners.
CYCLONE KADABRAMELIA - trotted roughly passing the 150m.
PLAY FOOTSIE - hampered by an outside runner rounding the final turn.
SLAINTE - lay in rounding the final turn hampering an inside runner. Broke near the 250m but soon settled.
