Race 1   CREATION SIGNS HANDICAP TROT
MISS JESSICA - driver T Robertson was warned for loose reining throughout the run home.
IMPERIAL MAN - broke rounding the final bend losing all chance. Stood down to trial on one occasion to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
DOMINATION'S CALL - shifted down the track over the concluding stages when under pressure.
Race 2   AUTOSURE TROT
WITHOUT COMPARISON - broke rounding the first bend losing ground.
SON OF MAJESTIC - connections reported the gelding has had its hocks treated since last racing.
TERROR COVE - broke rounding the first bend and shifted out locking wheels with MAJESDIX which broke in consequence, with TERROR COVE losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
ACTION PACKED - trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
AH DINNAE KEN - broke shortly after the start hampering a trailing runner. A final warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
STYRAX - trotted roughly at the start and was slow away. Hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Broke passing the 1600m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
MAJESDIX - hampered when locking wheels with a breaking runner rounding the first bend and broke in consequence, losing ground. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied the filly had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
SWIFT DREAM - trotted roughly rounding the final bend before breaking.
Race 3   BRUCE COLYER AUTO REFINISHERS MOBILE PACE
NALEDI - raced three wide without cover from the 900m. Weakened final bend and lay in throughout the run home. Driver S Ottley reported the gelding had raced greenly throughout.
LORTON VALE - paced roughly at various stages throughout the running.
MATAURA B B - lay inwards when weakening rounding the final bend contacting track markers.
BETTER ROBYN - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. Stood down to complete three mobile trials to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
Race 4   AVERIL'S DAY OUT FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
HILLARY - driver B McLellan reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre rounding the final bend.
BRITE LEDGER - broke shortly after the start hampering a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
MUCHO FUERTE - over-raced middle stages.
HELEN OF TROY - late scratching on veterinary advice at 7.30am.
CHEMMY - paced roughly and broke shortly after the start losing all chance. Placed on the Unruly for future mobile starts.
ASK ME LOU - briefly hampered near the 1200m.
LEDGER'S MAID - shied and shifted up the track near the 1200m hampering a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Held up final bend and made contact with the sulky wheel of HILLARY when causing driver T Nally some difficulty as he was attempting to shift the mare wider on the track. Mr Nally advised he would be recommending gear changes prior to LEDGER'S MAID racing next.
FLYING BIRD - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
Trainer N Williamson advised Stewards on 5th June that ONWARDSANDUPWARDS has had a hock treated since last racing.
Race 5   SOUTHLAND BATTERIES/ALL PURPOSE ENGINEERING HANDICAP PACE
JABALI - briefly locked wheels with DANGEROUS middle stages of the run home.
STONEYROYD - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Paced roughly rounding the first bend.
DANGEROUS - briefly held up middle stages of the run home when locking wheels with JABALI.
VENTURA - fractious prior to the start then reared after the tapes were released losing considerable ground. Stewards delayed the authorisation of dividends until they were satisfied that VENTURA had not been denied a fair start and attributed the fault to the manners of the gelding.
Race 6   STIRLING AUTO REPAIRS/DOMINION ELECTRIC/CLEAN BIZ TROT
JOEDIUM - broke rounding the first bend. Broke again passing the 1400m and was retired from the race. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
KYLE LOCH - broke passing the 1700m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
JORDAN ANNE - raced wide early.
ANDOVER THE KEYS - trotted roughly racing into the first bend. Over-raced and trotted roughly again through the middle stages. Broke passing the 1100m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of mare.
SEE IT THRU - weakened final bend. When asked to comment on the performance driver B Orange advised he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation.
GENTLE MAC - broke at the start losing all chance. Stood down to complete two standing start trials to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
TOP HAT AND TAILS - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
Trainer A Kyle advised Stewards on 2 May that KYLE LOCH has been treated for a virus since last racing and will be sent for a spell.
Race 7   REGENT CAR & COMMERCIAL MOBILE PACE
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - over-raced throughout. Weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner.
NYLA - jumped a shadow on the track and broke passing the 2100m, losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Lay in final bend striking track markers.
THE MATRIARCH - when asked to comment on the apparent improved performance trainer/driver M Williamson advised that the mare is best suited to grit tracks, had been racing well without luck prior to its previous start and he was not surprised by today's effort.
JAFFIE J - over-raced middle stages.
Race 8   PROVIDENT INSURANCE CO LTD MOBILE PACE
INSARCHATWIST - held up early stages of the run home.
HEEZ GOOD - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver K Tomlinson. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 9   REGENT SOUTH MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared when SUPERFAST broke in the score up checking a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Driver B Barclay elected to remain in his allocated barrier position for the restart.
CAST A SHADOW - when asked to comment on the apparent improved performance trainer S Balloch advised that the gelding has benefitted from a change of feeding and training regime and had been working well in the lead up to racing today.
HENRY MAGUIRE - lay in rounding the first bend.
Race 10   REGENT ROUNDABOUT MOBILE PACE
JONIQUE - held up early stages of the run home.
SWEET TREAT - over-raced in the parked position through the middle stages.
FIREFOREFIDDLE - over-raced middle stages.
ROBYNS SHADOW - when spoken to regarding the apparent improved performance of the gelding trainer/driver M Williamson advised that he had driven in a more conservative manner when taking a sit today and this had contributed to the better effort.
