Race 1   CRAIG HEYRICK AT HARCOUTS FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
SWEET SOUL SISTER - broke after 100m losing ground. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion
from a mobile start prior to resuming.
CHEMMY - broke shortly after the start checking trailing runners. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
LEDGER'S MAID - lay inwards and struck a track marker near the 800m. Driver T Nally reported the mare had hung inwards throughout.
MUCHO FUERTE - over-raced middle stages. Weakened final bend.
JUDITH GWENDA - broke late in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Driver R McIlwrick reported the mare had been making abnormal breathing noises during the running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed some nasal discharge. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
SHAPELY - when questioned regarding the performance, driver T Williams advised he was not disappointed with the first up effort.
FLYING BIRD - the boring pole was removed prior to the start due to the filly warming up unfavourably. Hung outwards on several occasions during the running when leading.
TARA VICTORY - lay inwards throughout the run home.
BRITE LEDGER - checked by a breaking runner after 100m and broke briefly losing ground.
ELLIE FRANCO - trainer S McRae was issued a warning for being late to notify the mare would be racing with an anti choke device. Hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.

CAPTAIN MEISTER - broke racing into the first bend and shifted outwards hampering a trailing runner and losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Broke again near the 1800m losing further ground.
MYDADTHETERROR - held up early in the run home.
ONELOVEONELIFE - over-raced in the score up. Hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend.
OH MICKY - trainer S Baucke advised the mare has had a wind operation since last racing.
LEWEY MAGUIRE - raced wide middle stages.

Race 3   FOVEAUX COMMUNICATIONS LTD MOBILE PACE
RIGHTAZZ - driver B Williamson admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly near the 1600m when allowing his runner to contact the sulky wheel of SAGWITCH with the tyre being punctured and coming off the rim. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250.
WARRIOR EASTON - over-raced early and middle stages. Driver N Williamson reported the gelding had been striking the sulky wheels and as a result he did not activate the hopple shorteners.
CHEZZ DALE - raced wide early.
BOARDING CALL - broke briefly in the score up however was in position at the start.
JABALI - weakened final bend.
EMERALD ABBEY - raced wide from the 1200m.
THE LADYBIRD - broke briefly in the score up and was back slightly at the start on the second line. Broke again near the 1100m losing all chance after being forced wider on the track when CAST A SHADOW shifted outwards.
SAGWITCH - retired from the race near the 1200m when the off side sulky tyre became entangled around the rim after being contacted near the 1600m.
BEAUTIFUL NOISE - raced wide without cover near the 1400m.
CAST A SHADOW - weakened final bend. Driver K Larsen admitted a breach of the Push Out Rule 869(4)(6)(b(c) in that he shifted outwards near the 1100m forcing THE LADYBIRD to race wider on the track. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200.

MASTER CLASS - trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
INSIST THE WIN - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1050m.
SPEEDING SPIRIT - broke near the 1050m hampering trailing runners and losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
JOHNS BOY - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1050m.
ELIZABETH HILL - broke near the 2300m losing ground.
T BONE RAWHIDE - over-raced middle stages. Broke briefly near the 1050m. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
GENTLE MAC - broke at the start and proved difficult for driver R McIlwrick to restrain back into its correct gait and was retired from the race. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
RUBY SEDDON - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start. Lost the off front bell boot rounding the final bend. Broke over the concluding stages.
AMBRO AMEIGO - trotted roughly and broke near the 1600m losing all chance and was retired from the race. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Driver J Morrison advised the gelding had trotted roughly on several occasions prior to breaking. A post-race veterinary examination revealed slight lameness in the left fore leg and a heart irregularity. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
JANAKA'S DELIGHT - raced wide early. Again raced wide from the 1200m. Weakened final bend. Cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
TWO MENNY MUSCLES - raced wide early. Weakened final bend.
Trainer K Butt advised Stewards on 23 June that MASTER CLASS has had its hocks treated since last racing.
Race 5   DIAMOND CREEK FARM 2YO CLASSIC (MOBILE PACE)
SONG SUNG BLUE - briefly held up near the 100m.
OKIWI BAY - paced roughly late in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Again paced roughly shortly after the start.
VESSEM - driver B Orange reported the removable deafeners were not activated due to having the field covered. When questioned regarding his decision to leave the trailing position near the 1300m driver B Orange advised he elected to shift outwards when the leader eased the pace believing his gelding was better suited to a faster tempo in the race.
Race 6   MACCA LODGE/NEVELE R STUD SOUTHERN OAKS FINAL (MOBILE PACE)
BOMBAY GLACIER - broke in the score up hampering a trailing runner with a false start being declared. When assessing the horse's penalty and speaking to the starter, Stewards showed leniency due to the high wind gusts prior to the start. Driver A Armour elected to remain in his allocated barrier position for the restart. Weakened final bend.
SISTER CHERIE - hampered by a weakening runner near the 700m.
BETTA WATCH OUT - hampered by a weakening runner near the 700m.
BLACK PEARL - raced wide early. Weakened from the 700m hampering trailing runners. When questioned regarding the performance driver C Dalgety advised the filly had hung in throughout and he was very disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate. The connections advised they will have blood tests taken from the filly in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
BETTING SENSATION - paced roughly near the 450m and then weakened shortly after. Stewards will follow up regarding the performance in the coming days.
CARRERA SUNSET - out of position at the restart. Driver K Green admitted a breach of Rule 858(1)(i) in that she failed to maintain her barrier position. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200. Driver K Green admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip in a continuous manner in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Miss Green's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 13 May 2023 (5 days).
TREACHEROUS GALL - out of position at the restart. Driver C Ferguson admitted a breach of Rule 858(1)(i) in that he failed to maintain his barrier position. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200. Driver C Ferguson was warned for crossing his reins and performing a celebratory gesture prior to the winning post.
Co-trainer C Dalgety advised Stewards on 17 May that blood tests taken from BLACK PEARL had failed to reveal any abnormalities and they have continued with the filly's preparation for racing tomorrow at Alexandra Park.
Race 7   ALABAR SOUTHERN SUPREMACY STAKES FINAL (MOBILE PACE)
OHOKA CONNOR - required farrier attention prior to the start. Driver T Williams admitted a breach of the Push Out Rule 869(4)(6)(b)(c) in that he shifted outwards forcing CORMAC LEO to race wider on the track near the 2400m. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300.
CORMAC LEO - forced to race wider on the track near the 2400m and paced roughly when OHOKA CONNOR shifted outwards.
DUKE OF SCOTLAND - weakened from the 500m.
WAG STAR - driver M Hurrell admitted a breach of Rule 869(7A)(a) for allowing his runner to strike a track marker rounding the final bend. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $100.
RAKAMURPH - out of position at the start. Driver N Williamson admitted a breach of Rule 858(1)(i) in that he failed to maintain his barrier position. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200.
Trainer C Ferguson advised on 22 May that DA VINCI has been gelded since last racing.
Race 8   REGENT CAR COURT SOUTHERN CUPS FINAL (HANDICAP PACE)
SHE'S TOUGH - over-raced early stages.

WHEELS OF FORTUNE - driver J Hay admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Hay's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 30 April 2023 (3 days).
CYA ART - tangled away and raced roughly for a distance hampering a trailing runner.
TOMMY WATERHOUSE - fractious prior to the start. Broke briefly at the start. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a standing start prior to resuming.
GET UP N DANCE - hampered in the early stages. Lay inwards rounding the bends. Weakened final bend.

HIT THE LIGHTS - driver K Green was warned for using her whip free of the rein in the run home.

ROLLON SUMMER - broke shortly after the start hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Weakened final bend.

ABBY MAY - lay inwards striking track markers near the 1300m.
IMPERIAL MAN - paced and had to be returned to its correct gait racing into the first bend. Again paced near the 1000m losing all chance and was retired from the race. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
MADRIK - broke at the start. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a standing start prior to resuming. Again broke near the 1600m losing ground. Weakened final bend.
WY FI - driver T Nally advised the removable deafeners were unable to be activated. Trainer B Willis was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for failing to correctly affix this gear.
SIMONE LINDENNY - raced wide early. Struck track markers rounding the final bend when leading. Driver B Williamson was warned to make a better effort to avoid making contact with track markers in future.
Race 11   NATHAN WILLIAMSON RACING STABLES MOBILE PACE
NORTHVIEW PEG - broke in the score up hampering a trailing runner with a false start being declared. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Sent to the unruly position for the restart by the Starter where the mare will remain for future mobile starts. Broke again in the score up of the restart however was in position at the start. Paced roughly on several occassions and broke again passing the 1400m losing all chance being retired from the race. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
INSARCHATWIST - held up rounding the final bend.
AMERICAN MAC - over-raced middle stages.
HURRICANE HENDRIX - when questioned regarding the performance driver N Williamson advised in his opinion the gelding had worked too hard early and had been unable to finish the race off in a competitive manner as a result.
