Race 1   MONICA TORETTO PHOTOGRAPHY TROT
BILL BOOTIT - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
WITHOUT COMPARISON - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
TEASE MY TARTAN - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the home straight.
ELIZABETH HILL - driver T Williams reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
STYRAX - held up rounding the final bend.
ACTION PACKED - raced three-wide without cover from the 1000m. Trotted roughly in the latter stages of the run home.
AH DINNAE KEN - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
DON AMECHE - trotted roughly rounding the final bend.
MAJESDIX - slow to begin. Lay in rounding the bends.
Trainer A Wohlers advised Stewards on 14th April that SON OF MAJESTIC has had its hocks treated since last racing.
Trainer N Williamson advised Stewards on 5th June that BILL BOOTIT has had a fetlock treated since last racing.
Race 2   EH BALL ITM MOBILE PACE
MAGIE DO - held up for clear racing room over the concluding stages. Placed in restricted room near the finish line when an outside runner shifted ground abruptly.
SCRUFFY - held up through the middle and latter stages of the run home and shifted ground inwards abruptly passing the 25m placing an inside runner in restricted room. Driver T Larsen was issued with a warning for the manner he shifted ground.
TUNEINSPORTSFANS - shifted out over the concluding stages when under pressure having to be straightened by driver K Green.
CALL ME SIR - placed in restricted room over the concluding stages.
ONELOVEONELIFE - raced wide early. Forced wider on the track by an inside runner over the concluding stages.
MYDADTHETERROR - over-raced through the middle stages. Shifted out when over-racing near the 400m with the sulky wheel being contacted by an outside runner which broke in consequence. Driver R Stevens was issued with a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. When questioned regarding the improved performance trainer/driver R Stevens advised he was not surprised by the effort as the gelding had been racing without luck in recent starts and had been working well in the lead up to today.
ROCKY O'MALLEY - back from the Unruly position at the start. Lay in rounding the final bend contacting the sulky wheel of MYDADTHETERROR and broke in consequence losing all chance. Stood down to trial on one occasion to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
Race 3   HOSPITALITY ROOMS AVAILABLE PH: 021 351 499 MOBILE PACE
MATAI CHARLOTTE - over raced middle stages. Hampered by an easing of the pace near the 1200m. Weakened final bend.
WONTHAVTIME - hampered by an easing of the pace near the 1200m. Held up final bend and again over the concluding stages of the run home.
DURRANT - trainer N Williamson advised the gelding has had its hocks treated since last racing.
SUPERFAST - raced wide early.
SHERWOOD MAGGIE - hampered by an easing of the pace near the 1200m. Held up final bend and throughout the run home. Driver B Barclay reported he had some difficulty activating the sliding blinds.
JENNY GUMP - raced wide early.
HALEY ROBYN - raced wide from the 1100m.
THE MATRIARCH - hampered by an easing of the pace near the 1200m.
WHITE DIAMOND GOLD - raced wide from the 1100m.
I'M WATCHING YOU - raced wide from the 1100m.
ATARAH - over-raced early when being restrained to take cover from a wide draw. Raced wide from the 1100m.
GRONKOWSKI - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1600m. Raced greenly when reaching the lead near the 1200m resulting in an easing of the pace, hampering trailing runners.
Trainer T Dewe advised Stewards on 26th April that GRONKOWSKI had been treated for a virus since last racing.
Race 4   SUNFLOWER KITCHEN/NANA RAILS DRIVE BY ESPRESSO TROT
JOEDIUM - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the final bend.
RATA - trainer G McClymont advised the mare has had its hocks treated since last racing. Broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. A post-race veterinary examination revealed grade 2 lameness in both hind legs. Connections were advised RATA was stood down pending a clearance following a full lameness veterinary examination prior to resuming.
JACCKA JAKE - trainer B Gray advised the gelding has undergone a wind operation since last racing. The murphy blind was removed prior to the start due to the gelding warming up unfavourably. Broke rounding the final bend hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of JACCKA JAKE.
DEM BONES DEM BONES - broke briefly at the start. Lay in rounding the final bend briefly placing an inside runner in restricted room.
JOY JACCKA - lay in rounding the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams advised he was not disappointed given the filly was racing up in grade and in his opinion JOY JACCKA would derive considerable benefit from its second race day start.
ANDOVER THE KEYS - broke briefly passing the 1400m losing ground. Briefly placed in restricted room rounding the final bend and was then hampered by a breaking runner.
HOT SAUCY BETTY - broke briefly passing the 1600m and again shortly after, losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Hampered by a breaking runner rounding the final bend.
AMBRO AMEIGO - broke briefly passing the 1400m losing ground.
T BONE RAWHIDE - trotted roughly rounding the final bend and throughout the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver O Kite advised that the gelding had commenced to lay in when placed under pressure and he was disappointed with the effort. Stewards will follow up with trainer C Faithful in the coming days.
Race 5   RACE SPONSORSHIP PACKAGES PH 021 351 499 MOBILE PACE
ROBYNS ART - broke briefly in the score up however was in position at the start.
SHUFFLE UP - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
BOSTON TEA PARTY - hampered by a weakening runner final bend. Shifted ground inwards passing the 2100m placing an inside runner in restricted room. Driver R McIlwrick was issued with a warning for the manner he shifted ground.
LEDGER'S MAID - forced inwards rounding the first bend placing an inside runner in restricted room.
NALEDI - briefly paced roughly passing the 2100m when placed in restricted room. Raced greenly on various occasions throughout.
MATAURA B B - out of position at the start. Stood down to complete one mobile trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming. Restrained early to take cover from a wide draw. Lost contact with the field from the 1600m and trailed the field thereafter. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality. Driver M Hurrell reported the bit had pulled through the gelding's mouth during the running causing him some steering difficulty.
DICTATE DENARIO - weakened final bend hampering trailing runners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality.
LA ROMANA - weakened final bend hampering trailing runners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality.
Race 6   MACCA LODGE/NEVELE R STUD SOUTHERN OAKS HEAT MOBILE PACE
BALTIC STAR - lay out rounding the first bend. Weakened final bend.
NEK DELIGHT - hampered leaving the final bend when runners in front locked wheels and broke in consequence.
BEACH DAY - hampered by a weakening runner final bend.
SISTER CHERIE - weakened from the 400m. Locked wheels with BETTING SENSATION near the 250m, losing all chance.

WHAT A MINX - driver C Ferguson reported that only one removable deafener had released.
BOMBAY GLACIER - over-raced early when being restrained to take cover from a wide draw. Continued to over-race through the middle stages.

OHOKA CONNOR - driver T Williams reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
Race 8   REGENT CAR COURT HANDICAP TROT
A false start was declared when JULIE JACCKA was fractious and swung sideways as the barrier strand was released. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Sent to the Unruly position for the restart where the filly will remain for future standing start engagements.
DONT ASK - broke rounding the final bend hampering a trailing runner.
MADRIK - broke at the start losing ground and hampering a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Sent to the Unruly position for the restart where the gelding will remain for future standing start engagements.
JIMMY CARTER - hampered by a breaking runner at the start and broke in consequence losing all chance.
WINNING BONES - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the final bend.
SIMONE LINDENNY - the initial start was delayed when the mare became fractious. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
WAI KEY WEE - slow in the early stages.

JOES ROCK - trainer B Gray advised the mare has had its fetlocks treated since last racing.

Race 10   WINTON BUSINESSES CUP (HANDICAP PACE)
TOMMY WATERHOUSE - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Stewards spoke with driver K Green regarding the barrier position she started from. Miss Green explained she had difficulty getting the gelding wider on the track to start from the Unruly position however notwithstanding this Stewards reminded Miss Green of her obligations and issued her with a warning to ensure she starts from the correct position on the track when drawn Unruly.
ONE CHANGE - broke at the start losing ground.
Race 11   CREATION SIGNS MOBILE PACE
JIMMY STEEL - held up final bend and in the middle stages of the run home.
MCLEAN - over-raced through the middle stages.
SWEET TREAT - broke briefly in the score up. Hampered by a weakening runner near the 600m losing contact with the field thereafter.
BROOKIES PLAYER - over-raced through the middle stages.
MACH'S BACK - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was found to have a small laceration to the tongue being cleared to start. Raced wide early. Weakened final bend.
VIN SCULLY - weakened final bend.
BOBBIES ROCK - raced wide until reaching the parked position passing the 1400m. Weakened from the 700m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormality. A warning was placed on racing performance of the gelding.
CAPTAIN TOM - raced wide early. Driver B Williamson reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
Trainer T Dewe advised Stewards on 26th April that BOBBIES ROCK had been treated for a virus since last racing.

RIGHTAZZ - over-raced in the early and middle stages. Held up final bend and had difficulty obtaining clear racing room until late in the run home. Driver B Williamson reported he did not release the removable deafeners as a consequence.
FIREFOREFIDDLE - held up leaving the final bend.
FALCONS WATCH - lay in on the bends and throughout the run home.
TIMBIMBOO - the boring pole was removed prior to the start due to the gelding warming up unfavourably. Raced greenly when in the lead leaving the first bend only settling when receiving cover in the trail. Held up final bend and the early stages of the run home. Driver M Hurrell reported he did not release the removable deafeners as a consequence.
SEABREEZE SOLITAIRE - raced in restricted room over the concluding stages.
HEEZ GOOD - lay in over the concluding stages when under pressure, placing inside runners in restricted room and having to be straightened by driver C Ferguson.
CHEZZ DALE - over-raced in the early and middle stages.
STONEYROYD - raced in restricted room over the concluding stages.
HES SANTAS EXCUSE - lay in at various stages of the run home.
Top
