Race 3 - WOODLANDS STUD 'GOOD LUCK TO OUR BUYERS' MOBILE PACE
Trainer T Yesberg admitted a breach of Rule 823(3) and the Horse Movement Regulations in that he failed to lodge a Horse Movement Notification for ROCKNROLL DIVA by the required time. After considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $150.
Race 9 - FAHEY FENCE HIRE MOBILE PACE
Drivers J Morrison (FERNZ GOLDY) and R Close (BEYOND A SHADOW) were spoken to for the manner in which they jostled around the final bend and advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.

HANOVER DA MOON - tangled away. Hampered by a breaking runner and broke after 100m.
IT'S SO EASY - hung inwards throughout the run home.
BLINK N BONES - broke briefly after 100m hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MADELEINE STOWE - hampered by a breaking runner after 100m. Cast two bell boots early in the run home.
TRES MAGNIFIQUE - a post-race veterinary examination at the request of trainer B Weaver revealed a slow recovery. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the mare with Mr Weaver in the coming days.
CODY BANNER - broke passing the 150m losing all chance.
LIGHT OF DA MOON - hampered by a breaking runner and broke after 100m. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages. Driver R Holmes was warned for using his whip free of the rein on one occasion in the run home.

VERTIGO - driver L McCormick admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr McCormick's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 26 March 2023 (3 days).
Race 2   XCM SPORT MOBILE PACE
TOWER OF LOVE - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver R Close. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Paced roughly after 150m. Hung outwards and broke racing into the first bend checking trailing runners. A warning was also placed on the racing record of the gelding.
FRANCO CORNEL - hung outwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised he was disappointed with the effort. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the gelding with connections in the coming days.
ART LINCOLN - hung outwards racing into the first bend and briefly locked wheels with MOVE IT ON OVER. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Trainer/driver M Williamson advised he will be making gear changes prior to the gelding resuming.
MOVE IT ON OVER - checked racing into the first bend when briefly locking wheels with ART LINCOLN losing ground.
MAJOR TORQUE - lay outwards in the middle stages of the run home.
SISTER CHERIE - when questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised he was slightly disappointed even considering the filly had been unsuited to racing parked throughout.
MIKI BENNETT - checked racing into the first bend by a breaking runner. Held up final bend.
ARDEN'S DELIGHT - checked racing into the first bend by a breaking runner.
ROCKNROLL DIVA - checked racing into the first bend by a breaking runner. Held up final bend and again late in the run home.
MIGHTY REACTOR - over-raced in the early stages when being restrained to obtain cover. Checked racing into the first bend by a breaking runner.
Trainer B Mowbray advised Stewards on 25 March that MIGHTY REACTOR has had its knees treated since last racing.
Race 3   AVON CITY FORD MOBILE PACE
MAGIC FOUR - held up over the concluding stages.
MIDFREW LUISIANABEAU - broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Weakened final bend.
LUMEN CAELI - briefly crowded near the 1500m contacting a track marker.
HAPPY PLACE - held up early in the run home.
WARLOCH - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver W House. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke shortly after the start. A post-race veterinary examination at the request of Mr House revealed a poor recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
Trainer M House advised Stewards on 31 March that WARLOCH has had its joints treated since last racing.
Race 4   MATT HARRISON CONSTRUCTION PACE
BLUE ROCK DANCER - raced roughly near the 1700m.
ARIZONAWILDCAT - broke at the start losing ground.
ABSOLUTE DYNAMITE - tangled away.
GOD OF THUNDER - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground.
MO'UNGA - broke after 150m hampering a trailing runner then over-raced for a distance when being restrained to obtain cover. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Driver R Close reported the horse had been striking its knees during the running and would be recommending gear changes prior to resuming. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
SILK - when questioned regarding the improved performance driver G O'Reilly advised the mare had appreciated a return to standing starts and had begun quickly which enabled the horse to race in a prominent position.
TREMENDOUS LOVER - over-raced middle stages. Hung inwards and paced roughly near the 150m.
COME TOGETHER - hampered by a breaking runner after 150m and raced wide early. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised the mare had worked hard through the early stages to obtain a forward position after being hampered and combined with the fast tempo throughout the effort had taken its toll.
Trainer G Smith advised Stewards on 21 March that GOD OF THUNDER has had its near side hock treated since last racing.
Race 5   CONTINENTAL EVENT HIRE MOBILE TROT
SPY DA MOMENT - struck track markers near the 1500m. Driver K Cox was warned to make a better effort to avoid making contact with track markers in future. Ms Cox advised the gelding had cast the off front shoe during the running.
ROYDON MUSCLE - broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Held up throughout the run home.
NAZARETH - broke shortly after the start hampering trailing runners and losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Held up early in the run home. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
TU TANGATA - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver P Nairn. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
SON OF PATRICK - when questioned regarding the improved performance driver W House advised the gelding had been suited by a return to mobile racing and had been able to race in a prominent position throughout. Junior driver W House (assisted by G Smith) admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr House's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 19 March up to and including 24 March 2023 (3 days).
ROYAL DEL - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
FRANCO JOSIAH - late scratching on Veterinary advice at 9.30am. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
MYSTIC MAX - trotted roughly early stages. Held up throughout the run home.

FORTIFY - driver B Orange reported the removable deafeners were not activated due to having the field covered.
EASTWOOD DREAM - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver S O'Reilly. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 7   LAMB & HAYWARD TROTTERS CLASSIC HANDICAP TROT
EUROKASH - hung inwards and trotted roughly final bend losing ground.
TIME UP THE HILL - broke after 100m losing all chance.
MIDNIGHT DASH - hung inwards final bend striking track markers.
MUSCLE MOUNTAIN - began awkwardly losing ground.
Race 8   WOODLANDS STUD- BREEDING A BETTER FUTURE MOBILE PACE
ANGEL OF MONTANA - held up late in the run home.
NO MATTER WAT - forced to race wide from the 700m.
LIFES A BEACH - held up early in the run home.
Race 9   HYDROFLOW PLUMBING SOLUTIONS HANDICAP PACE
BEACH BALL - checked near the 200m when an inside runner shifted ground outwards.
TERRY - driver R Close admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly near the 200m when shifting ground wider on the track checking BEACH BALL. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Close's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 19 March up to and including 26 March 2023 (3 days).
THE FALCON - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
HEISENBERG - Stewards questioned driver J Dunn regarding the tactics he adopted near the 1600m after shifting away from the trailing position following SAM'S TOWN to improve to the lead. Mr Dunn explained that after initially restraining to obtain cover near the 1900m the speed of the race had decreased markedly and his gelding had commenced to race keenly. Mr Dunn added that for these reasons he felt his best option was to improve forward to the lead and increase the tempo of the race in an attempt to outstay his rivals. After considering his explanation Stewards took the matter no further. Shifted outwards rounding the final bend when leading. Stewards lodged a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) alleging Mr Dunn drove carelessly when allowing his runner to shift outwards rounding the final bend with the Adjudicative Committee adjourning the hearing until 19 March 2023. Mr Dunn was warned for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
SAM'S TOWN - driver B Orange was warned for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
LAVER - broke at the start losing ground. Weakened from the 600m.
Driver J Dunn defended a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) alleging he drove carelessly when allowing HEISENBERG to shift ground outwards rounding the final bend when leading. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Dunn, the Adjudicative Committee dismissed the charge.
Race 10   FIRST DIRECT TAXIS MOBILE PACE
SKY VALE - weakened leaving the final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
