Race 1   BROSNAN TRANSPORT LTD TROT
ANTONOV - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1200m.
WITH PURPOSE - fractious prior to the start. Checked by a breaking runner near the 1200m.
SHEZA TRENDY ONE - fractious prior to the start and attempted to charge the barrier strand despite the efforts of driver S O'Reilly. A final warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Began awkwardly. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1200m. Held up early in the run home.
RAINING IN MY HEART - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1200m.
LOVEY DOVEY NOVA - broke when leading near the 1200m checking trailing runners and losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Broke again late in the run home. Driver T Chmiel reported the mare had shied on numerous occasions during the running.
DOWNTOWN ORLANDO - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1200m. Trotted roughly throughout the run home. Driver R Jenkins advised the gelding had been striking itself in behind and he would be recommending alterations to its shoeing prior to resuming.
VINCENZO - trainer B Borcoskie was warned for presenting the gelding to race with a pacifier which had not been notified. Broke racing into the first bend losing ground. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming. Checked by a breaking runner near the 1200m. Over-raced middle stages.
Race 2   PLACEMAKERS TIMARU MOBILE PACE
MISSKCMACK - fractious leaving the pre-race formation requiring assistance from a Starter's Attendant before breaking and being out of position at the start. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.
JAMES CAGNEY - driver G Smith reported he had difficulty activating the removable deafeners early in the run home.
HARRY BELAFONTE - weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Morrison advised the gelding had been unsuited to racing parked.
MAJOR WILSON - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver C Thornley. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Weakened from the 1000m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the gelding.
SIR MONTY - out of position at the start. Driver S Thornley was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice.
Race 3   MAINFERT PACE
INTERPOL - held up early in the run home.
PRINCESS MERITATEN - broke at the start losing ground. Authorisation of 1st placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.
LAMARLI - driver T Chmiel was warned for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
BETTOR REACTION - broke at the start losing ground. Weakened from the 600m.
RENEGADE TIGER - fractious prior to the start causing a delay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Hung outwards through the middle stages causing driver D McCormick considerable difficulty. Weakened final bend.
BEAUVIEW TOPAZ - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Weakened final bend.
GLIDING HIGH - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
HEAVEN - held up by a weakening runner passing the 600m. Cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.

PINK FLAMINGO RUN - struck a track marker racing into the first bend. Driver J Dunn was issued a warning. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1200m. Weakened final bend.
DALNESS ARIZONA - broke near the 1250m hampering trailing runners and losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
KENNEDY - over-raced in the score up and in the early stages. Continued to over-race through the middle stages when being restrained to obtain cover. Held up early in the run home.
REFINE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1200m. Held up by a weakening runner final bend. Lay inwards throughout the run home.
IKSAKA - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1200m.
ELDOLAR - raced wide early. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1200m.
BIG MAMA MORRIS - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1200m.
Race 5   NIGHT 'N DAY PARK TIMARU HANDICAP PACE
AIRIES GOLD - tangled away.
PURE COURAGE - weakened leaving the final bend.
KOWHAI SHADOW - driver M Jones reported the mare cast a shoe during the running.
QUICKSMART - broke at the start losing ground. Weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver G Smith advised the gelding had raced keenly during the running and had been unable to make ground due to the fast tempo throughout.
Race 6   EQUINE VETERINARY SERVICES HANDICAP TROT
REINDEER TROUBLE - fractious prior to the start causing a delay with the boring pole being removed after breaking. Driver N Burton briefly became unbalanced in the sulky near the 700m when activating the removable deafeners. Hung inwards final bend. Mr Burton was warned for striking a track marker in the run home.
TAKE AFTER ME - weakened final bend.
PRINCE RANIER - cast a bell boot near the 300m. Briefly crowded leaving the final bend.
BELLA BUTTON - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
LINE A LOVE - raced wide early.
MAJESTIC ROSE - fractious prior to the start. Backed away as the start was effected before breaking losing considerable ground. Weakened from the 600m.
FAST WHISPERING - trainer N Taylor was warned for not having the correct colours available. Fractious prior to the start requiring assistance from a Starter's Attendant and swung sideways and backed away prior to the start being effected. Stewards reviewed the replays of the start with driver S O'Reilly and acting under Rule 213(1)(e) declared the mare a non-runner due to unsatisfactory manners prior to the start. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a standing start prior to resuming.
DWINDLE STAR - trotted roughly racing into the first bend losing ground. Continued to trot roughly rounding the first bend. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
SONOMA TYRON - lay inwards rounding the final bend briefly crowding an inside runner.
BARRYTOWN - raced wide early.
Race 7   LASER ELECTRICIAL TIMARU MOBILE PACE
AMERICAN SNIPER - paced roughly at various stages throughout. Driver J Dunn was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the middle stages of the run home.
SONIC REIGN - eased down passing the 800m. Driver K Butt reported a sulky tyre had deflated during the running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
THERESA LOVE - raced wide early.
MAXIMILIAN - weakened final bend. Paced roughly in the run home.
GLENTHORNE - weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver M Williamson advised he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation other than to suggest the gelding would derive considerable benefit from its first start back from a spell.
