Race 2 - 'BUY KIWI MADE' AT WAI EYRE- TREVOR BEATON MEMORIAL MOB PACE
LADY VINCENT - driver C DeFilippi defended a breach of Rule 303(2) alleging that he misconducted himself when kicking the mare on one occasion in the abdomen prior to the start. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards, a Starter's Assistant and Mr DeFilippi, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and reserved their decision on penalty. On 14 February the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $400.
Race 3 - JOHN MORRISON FARRIER, KEN McRAE & DAVE McHUGH PACE
EDDIE JAMES - driver T Chmiel defended a breach of Rule 303(2) alleging that he misconducted himself by punching the horse in the abdomen on one occasion prior to the start. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Chmiel the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and reserved their decision on penalty. On 14 February the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $400.

Race 1   IRT. YOUR HORSE. OUR PASSION. MOBILE TROT
COSMIC ANGEL - broke in the score up and was out of position at the candy pole however was in position at the start. Broke again after 100m losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Held up early stages of the run home. Trotted roughly before breaking over the concluding stages.
PENELOPE HALL - when spoken to regarding the performance of one of the favoured runners trainer/driver J Versteeg advised that despite the mare racing parked for a considerable distance he was still disappointed with the performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be showing signs of muscle tie up. Stewards will follow up in the coming days.
ANOTHER DEMON - trotted roughly and raced wide in the early stages. Broke near the 1450m losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
TOP OF THE HILL - raced wide early.
CAPPAHA - trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
DANCING GLENIS - held up leaving the final bend and early stages of the run home.
Trainer J Versteeg advised Stewards on 24 February that PENELOPE HALL has been freshened since its last start.
Race 2   SENZ MOBILE PACE
LORD PUBLISHER - made contact with the mobile barrier arm in the score up and paced roughly for a few strides briefly hampering a trailing runner. Hampered near the 150m by an outside runner and broke in consequence.
HIT THE BEACH - held up final bend.
MIKI PARTY - hampered near the 150m by an outside runner. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Chmiel advised he was disappointed and felt the mare may not have backed up from its previous start. Stewards will follow up with trainer M Cations in the coming days.
NEPHRITE - over-raced in the score up and broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
SOCIAL DISTANCING - lay inwards early in the run home hampering inside runners. Continued to lay inwards at various stages despite the efforts of driver J Curtin. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Mr Curtin reported that the gelding had raced greenly and lay in at various stages throughout.
ADESANYA - shifted down the track into the passing lane early in the run home for a considerable distance. Driver G Smith was warned to maintain a straight course and leave the passing lane clear for trailing runners. Mr Smith advised he will be recommending gear changes prior to the gelding racing next.
ALMIGHTY CLEVER - briefly hampered in the score up however was able to maintain its position. Paced roughly near the 850m.
Trainer M Cations advised Stewards on 25 February that MIKI PARTY has recovered well following its last start and he will continue with the mare's current preparation.
Race 3   AVON CITY FORD MOBILE PACE
GET KRAKEN - held up final bend. Briefly hampered near the 150m when SOVIET STAR lay out.
FERNZ GOLDY - over-raced middle stages.
TOPAZ - when spoken to regarding the improved performance co-trainer J Dunn advised that the mare had been unlucky at its last start, had worked well during the week and with tonight's race being run to suit he was not surprised by the forward showing.
REFINE - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
SOVIET STAR - lay out when weakening near the 150m.
MIGHTY REACTOR - held up final bend.
BETTERWITHBLING - held up for clear racing room throughout the run home. Driver G O'Reilly advised the removable deafeners were not activated in consequence.
JAVASA - over-raced middle stages.
Trainer A Swain advised Stewards on 24 February that SEAPRIS has had its hocks treated since last racing.
Race 4   COMMODORE HOTEL HANDICAP TROT
A false start was declared when the barrier strand failed to clear runners on the front line and wrapped around the legs of TROT TO CHEVRON who had bounded forward despite the efforts of driver G Smith. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MISSALYSSA - over-raced when in the parked position. Weakened in the run home.
WILLANGUS LAD - broke near the 2100m losing ground. Broke again shortly after losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
HESTON HALL - weakened over the concluding stages.
ONE TWO MENNY - trotted roughly and broke racing into the first bend losing ground. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming. Trotted roughly and over-raced through the middle stages.
Race 5   BUY A WOODLANDS YEARLING THIS SUNDAY MOBILE PACE
GOD DAM - shifted down the track on several occasions in the run home when under pressure having to be straightened by driver C DeFilippi.
STILL DRAWIN - hampered by a breaking runner near the 400m.
ALWAYS B TYRON - broke passing the 400m hampering trailing runners and losing all chance. When spoken to driver B Hope advised the mare had stumbled prior to breaking. A warning was placed on the racing record of the horse.
KILLINCHY KID - raced wide early.
MYSTIFY ME - hampered by a breaking runner near the 400m.
Race 6   XCM SPORT FREE-FOR-ALL MOBILE TROT
SON OF PATRICK - weakened final bend.
ENGHIEN - shifted down the track under pressure over the concluding stages having to be straightened by driver M Williamson.
MATUA TANA - weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver G O'Reilly advised he was disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
Trainer P Nairn advised Stewards on 20 February MATUA TANA has had a fetlock treated since last racing.
Trainer K Cox advised Stewards on 28 February that SPY DA MOMENT has had its front feet treated since last racing.
Race 7   THE BOX SEAT "ON EVERY WEDNESDAY" MOBILE PACE
SKY VALE - held up leaving the final bend.
KRYSTAL DELIGHT - held up final bend and throughout the run home only obtaining clear racing room over the concluding stages.
DANCING DESIRE - raced wide early.
RAKANOTTA - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1300m.
Connections advised Stewards on 25 February that EVANGALIST has been treated for a respiratory infection since last racing.
Race 8   HARNESS RACING UNHINGED MOBILE TROT
AIGUILLE - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver D van Til. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Trotted roughly at various stages throughout.
SILVERLININGS - trotted roughly over the final stages and was unable to be fully driven out.
BOYZ INVASION - raced wide early.
SODS LAW - raced wide early.
KOWHAI SUNDOWN - broke near the 150m.
OUR PINOCCHIO - raced wide early.
Race 9   WWW.THEURB.CO.NZ - THE ULTIMATE RACEBOOK PACE
SHE'S TOUGH - held up for clear racing room over the concluding stages.
ALL BY MYSELF - shifted sideways as the start was effected contacting the sulky of KATHERINE and broke in the early stages. Placed in restricted room by an outside runner near the 150m and again shortly after. Driver R May advised he did not activate the removable deafeners as a consequence.
PROVISEUR - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
SPORTY CHARLIE - co-trainer C DeFilippi advised Stewards the gelding has been treated for dehydration since last racing.
MANDALAY BAY - raced three wide from the 1000m.
HE'S TOUGH - broke briefly at the start. Over-raced through the middle stages. Lay inwards throughout the run home having to be corrected by driver J Curtin.
Race 10   FIRST DIRECT TAXIS MOBILE PACE
MOVE IT ON OVER - held up late in the run home.
TEDS LEGACY - raced wide early.
BLACK PEARL - forced wider on the track near the 800m and paced roughly as a consequence. Stewards spoke with driver J Cox regarding this incident and he advised that when he realised driver J Morrison (TIGER TAYLOR) had the advantage to push him wider on the track he went to shift outwards but as he did his horse then paced roughly as a result. Notwithstanding this Stewards issued Mr Cox with a warning for failing to concede his position.
GET BACK - connections advised Stewards the mare has had its hocks treated since last racing. Briefly hampered near the 700m.
