Trainer G Smith advised Stewards on 17 November that RAKERO STORM has been treated for a respiratory infection since last racing.

Trainer M Brinsdon advised Stewards on 18 November that MACH QUILLAN has been treated for a virus since last racing.

Race 10 - TINWALD TAVERN MOBILE PACE
Trainer S Adlam advised Stewards that blood tests taken from ANN MAREE had failed to reveal any abnormalities. Mr Adlam further advised he felt the filly may have been showing signs of being in season but had since recovered well in preparation for racing tomorrow at Banks Peninsula.

FOURTH AMENDMENT - when questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange could offer no explanation. Trainer B Mowbray advised in his opinion the gelding may not have backed up from its previous start on 11 November.

LUSTRE AMOUR - hung outwards in the score up and through the early stages. Held up final bend.

FIELD OF POPPIES - held up in the early and middle stages of the run home. Driver T Williams reported the filly had hung inwards rounding the final bend and in the run home causing him considerable difficulty when attempting to shift wider on the track.
CARMELITE - fractious leaving the pre-race formation and swung around despite the efforts of driver B Orange, however, was in position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Raced wide early.
PRETTY CARYL - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver J Dunn. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Raced wide from the 900m. Weakened final bend.

SONOMA TYRON - broke briefly at the start.
SASSY STAR - broke at the start losing all chance. Stood down to trial satisfactorily from a standing start on one occasion prior to resuming.
MAJESTIC WHISPER - broke at the start hampering a trailing runner. Broke again near the 250m.
PHOEBE K - weakened from the 500m.
IDEAL INVASION - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Broke again passing the 900m and was taken inside track markers to avoid trailing runners. Trotted roughly when weakening final bend. Broke on a further occasion near the 200m.

Race 4   FREEMAN'S ROOFING TIMARU CHALLENGE STAKES (MOBILE PACE)
BARNSTORMER - had to be steadied racing into the first bend after a slight easing of the pace.
NO TERROR - paced roughly in the score up. Hung outwards racing into the first bend having to be steadied. Again paced roughly when racing in the trail near the 1900m. Lay inwards rounding the final bend losing ground.
WHEELS OF FORTUNE - hung outwards rounding the first bend and shifted up the track despite the efforts of driver J Hay.
CASINO ACTION - restrained to the rear of the field passing the 2100m after unsuccessfully challenging for the lead in the early stages. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised he was disappointed with the effort of the gelding even considering the work the horse had done in the early stages in an attempt to reach the lead.
Race 5   BURGERS BUTCHERY / THE HYDRO BAR MOBILE TROT
HEAVENLY STRINGS - lay inwards throughout the run home.
MAJESTIC ROSE - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after not having raced for a considerable period of time and was cleared to start. Hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start and broke losing all chance.
PAIGE - trainer B Negus was warned for presenting the filly to race with only one number. Broke shortly after the start hampering trailing runners and losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
TARUKENGA - hampered by a breaking runner in the early stages. Trotted roughly passing the 700m losing ground.
IT'S SO EASY - hung inwards and trotted roughly in the run home and was unable to be fully driven out.
SALVO - skied its head passing the 800m losing ground.
TYRON AROHANUI - broke passing the 600m losing all chance.
DASHER - trotted roughly in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Stewards investigated a possible breach of the Push Out Rule racing into the first bend when DASHER shifted ground wider on the track when racing to the inside of NOTASBADASILOOK (K Butt). After viewing the replays and hearing from driver K Butt, it was established that NOTASBADASILOOK had not been forced to race wider on the track and no further action was deemed necessary. Broke near the 350m.
SILVERLININGS - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Stewards lodged a protest against 4th placing being awarded to the mare under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation for breaking in excess of 150m in the early stages. The connections did not contest the protest and after viewing the replays SILVERLININGS was disqualified by the Adjudicative Committee.
EMMA LOUISE - hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start and broke losing ground.
Race 6   BROSNAN TRANSPORT LTD TIMARU NURSERY STAKES (MOBILE PACE)
CARRERA RAPIDO - paced roughly rounding the final bend.
COMMANDER BEN - driver K Butt was warned for failing to check in following the race.
TABASCO - driver K Tomlinson reported the colt had cast a shoe during the running.
DA VINCI - trainer C Ferguson was warned for failing to have mudguards affixed to his sulky.
VINKE B - over-raced early when being restrained to the rear of the field. When questioned regarding the performance driver O Thornley advised in her opinion the gelding had failed to handle the slushy track conditions.
Race 7   TYRE GENERAL TIMARU SUMMER CUP (HANDICAP PACE)
MAREN FRANCO - broke at the start losing ground.
ARTATAC - driver S Ottley was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for using her whip when driving with her foot out of the sulky footrest shortly after the start.
BOUDICA - held up early in the run home.
STAR MAGIC - tangled away. Weakened leaving the final bend.
COPPERHEAD ROSE - trainer G Manson was warned for presenting the entire to race without the notified removable deafeners.
DOCTOR TIM - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Weakened final bend.
BUCKSKIN - raced wide early.
FRANCO MAREK - broke at the start losing ground. Raced wide early.

JAVASA - the connections advised Stewards the filly has had its hocks treated since last racing. Weakened final bend.
WEBS REACTOR - checked racing into the first bend by an outside runner and had to be steadied. Weakened final bend.
JANARTY - hung inwards leaving the final bend and early in the run home. Paced roughly in the home straight. Driver R May defended a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) alleging that he drove carelessly when shifting inwards racing into the first bend when insufficiently clear of WEBS REACTOR (L O'Reilly) which was checked and lost its rightful position. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from driver R May and Stewards, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and Mr May's driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing on 26 November up to and including 3 December 2022 (2 days).
FERNZ GOLDY - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer D Reardon advised the filly had benefited from a recent change in training regime of decreasing the filly's workload.
DANCING DESIRE - raced wide early.
MIGHTY REACTOR - paced roughly early in the run home when held up for clear racing room.
HEAT SEEKER - raced wide early.
PROSPECT PARK - trainer J Gameson was warned for presenting the gelding to race without the notified sliding blinds. Weakened leaving the final bend.
Race 9   EQUINE VETERINARY SERVICES/GEORGE SHAND MEMORIAL HCP TROT
CLYDE - tangled away. Checked racing into the first bend and broke briefly. Over-raced middle stages.
EXCUSE MY FRENCH - driver J Dunn reported the removable deafeners were not activated due to having the field covered. Mr Dunn admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly racing into the first bend when shifting inwards when insufficiently clear of CLYDE which was checked and broke briefly. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Dunn's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 26 November up to and including 3 December 2022 (2 days).
CODY BANNER - held up by a weakening runner final bend. Trotted roughly in the run home and was unable to be fully driven out.

RAKERO REBEL - trainer/driver G Smith advised the filly had over-raced during the running and he would consider making gear adjustments prior to the horse resuming.
SKITTLE BOMB - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend. Hampered by an easing of the pace near the 2100m.
OBSESSION - hampered by a breaking runner rounding the first bend. Hampered by an easing of the pace near the 2100m. Weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams advised the filly had worked hard from the 900m when attempting to improve its position and had failed to handle the slushy track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
TEMPO WARRIOR - broke briefly rounding the first bend hampering trailing runners and losing ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Hampered final bend by a weakening runner.
ANNA LOVE - out of position at the start. Driver J Cox was issued a warning. Hampered by an easing of the pace near the 2100m.
AJIRA - hampered by an easing of the pace near the 2100m. Weakened leaving the final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. The connections advised that the gelding had failed to handle the slushy track conditions.
MAXIMILIAN - hampered by a breaking runner on the first bend. Driver W House was warned for easing the pace near the 2100m hampering several trailing runners. Paced roughly through the middle stages. Weakened final bend. Mr House reported the gelding had been striking its knee during the running.
SZYBKA LANE - when questioned regarding the improved performance driver J Dunn advised the mare had been unlucky at its last start and had received an economical run throughout.
