DURRANT - lay inwards throughout the run home crowding an inside runner. Junior driver T Larsen, assisted by K Larsen, was warned to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home.
HERITAGE - struck a track marker when attempting a marginal run to the inside of BRANXHOLME LASS leaving the final bend. Driver T Nally was warned to make a greater effort to ensure he does not make contact with track markers in future.
BRANXHOLME LASS - crowded by an outside runner in the run home.
ONELOVEONELIFE - weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver K Larsen could offer no tangible explanation.
FORTY WIVES - held up final bend.
SOPHIE - late scratching on Veterinary advice at 7.30am.
SLY TRICKS - trainer P Andrews was warned for presenting the gelding without the notified blinds. Driver T Robertson was warned for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
BLACKJACK ROAD - raced wide without cover from the 900m. Weakened leaving the final bend. Cleared from the Unruly for future mobile starts.
Race 2   WYNDHAM HRC CENTENNIAL CELEBRATIONS 17 & 18 MARCH TROT
FLYING WITHOUT WINGS - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.
REWIRI HILL - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
AARDIE'S CAPTAIN - paced shortly after the start before breaking losing all chance.
LOVE EASY - slow in the early stages and trotted roughly losing considerable ground. Broke near the 600m losing all chance.
THE BRONX BOMBER - hung inwards at various stages throughout. Weakened final bend.
GEORGE THE FIRST - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Broke again near the 1600m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
CHICK MAGNET - broke at the start losing all chance.
AH DINNAE KEN - slow in the early stages losing considerable ground. Broke near the 600m losing all chance.
Race 3   ALABAR MOBILE PACE
WARRIOR EASTON - held up by a weakening runner leaving the final bend.
SOUTHERN STARR - held up by a weakening runner rounding the final bend and early in the run home.
MUCHO FUERTE - connections reported this mare has had its hocks treated since last racing. Weakened leaving the final bend.
MATADOR - weakened rounding the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver M Hill advised he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have lameness in both hind legs. Stood down pending a Veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
RAZOR SHARP - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver S Ottley. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
CALL ME SIR - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer I Jamieson advised that the gelding had strengthened up after being spelled for six months and had shown natural improvement from recent workouts.
Race 4   MATAI FARM MOBILE PACE
TAD LINCOLN - weakened from the 600m.
SHERWOOD MAGGIE - held up throughout the run home. Driver S O'Reilly reported she did not activate the removable deafeners or sliding blinds as a consequence. Stewards questioned driver S O'Reilly regarding the tactics she adopted leaving the final bend when electing to shift wider on the track when an opportunity existed to shift into the passing lane. Miss O'Reilly explained that after initially being held up leaving the final bend she had attempted to shift inwards to obtain a run in the passing lane however, the mare had hung outwards and despite her efforts she was unable to shift her runner down the track resulting in her searching for a clear run wider which did not eventuate. After considering Miss O'Reilly's explanation which was confirmed on the replays, Stewards took the matter no further.
FULL OF DESIRE - out of position at the start. Driver A Armour was issued with a warning.
JAFFIE J - over-raced middle stages.
FINE BY ME - raced wide early. Weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver C Ferguson advised he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the mare to be suffering from muscle tie-up. Stood down pending a Veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
TANGIER TANGO - held up early in the run home.
I'M WATCHING YOU - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
Race 5   SOUTHERN HEDGE CUTTING MOBILE PACE
THE LADYBIRD - when questioned regarding the performance driver B Barclay advised that the filly had travelled well however failed to quicken inside the final 200m and was disappointing. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the filly with connections in the coming days.
COCK A HOOP - lay inwards early in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Larsen advised that the filly, which was having its first start, had raced greenly over the concluding stages and had failed to quicken. Mr Larsen added that he expected the horse to derive considerable benefit from the race.
STELLA PATRON - hampered racing into the first bend and had to be steadied. Held up early in the run home.
MAGIE DO - held up early in the run home. Driver A Milne was warned for loose reining in the run home.
LOTTIE'S LUCK - fractious prior to the start. Broke in the score-up and was out of position at the candy pole. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Broke again racing into the first bend hampering a trailing runner losing all chance and was retired from the race. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming. Driver K Tomlinson reported she had considerable difficulty steering the filly. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
OH MICKY - driver S Ottley was warned for leaving the track without the consent of the Starter or Stewards to change her sulky after sustaining a punctured tyre in the preliminary.
ROLLON SUMMER - hung inwards throughout the run home.
THE MATRIARCH - held up for clear racing room until the latter stages of the run home.
JOANIE MAGIC - paced roughly passing the 600m losing ground.
Race 6   LOGAN MCLELLAN SHEARING TROT
TOP POCKET CHANCE - trotted roughly when weakening final bend.
VELOCITY JET - the rein pricker was removed prior to the start due to the gelding warming up unfavourably. Fractious prior to the start which resulted in gear requiring adjustment with a subsequent delay to the start. Sent to the Unruly by the Starter where the gelding will remain for future standing starts. Slow through the early stages losing considerable ground.
RUBY SEDDON - trotted roughly in the early stages. Again trotted roughly in the run home before breaking over the concluding stages.
JUSTAN'S SISTER - held up final bend and early in the run home.
GALLEONS FUTURE - cleared from the Unruly for future standing starts.
Race 7   MACCA LODGE MOBILE PACE
BOWLEM OVER - hampered after an easing of the pace rounding the first bend. Hung inwards rounding the final bend and throughout the run home.
HAPPY GO LINCY - paced roughly near the 300m after becoming awkwardly placed close to the sulky of MAGNETIC BECKERS.
ABULL - hampered near the 200m and had to be steadied after an inside runner shifted outwards. Driver B McLellan was warned for the manner he drove rounding the first bend when easing the pace, resulting in trailing runners being hampered.
ALWAYS B THERE - out of position at the start. Driver J Douglas was issued with a warning. Raced wide early. Lay inwards throughout the run home.
TIMBIMBOO - out of position at the start. Driver M Hurrell was issued with a warning. Hampered after an easing of the pace rounding the first bend and broke briefly. Paced roughly at various stages throughout. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
MAGNETIC BECKERS - hung outwards rounding the final bend. Shifted outwards near the 200m crowding an outside runner. Driver S Ottley will be spoken to regarding this in the coming days.
A MAJOR STARR - hampered after an easing of the pace rounding the first bend.
Driver S Ottley (MAGNETIC BECKERS) was warned to exercise greater care when shifting ground after crowding an outside runner near the 200m.
Race 8   HERBERTS TRANSPORT MOBILE PACE
LOU'S DEAL - broke briefly racing into the bend near the 1400m after a slight easing of the pace, hampering trailing runners.
MR MCLAREN - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1400m. Held up by a weakening runner final bend.
VIN SCULLY - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver S O'Reilly. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1400m. Hung inwards leaving the final bend and early in the run home.
SONNY MAGUIRE - weakened final bend. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have an initial high heart rate however recovered well. Stewards will follow up the progress of the horse with trainer A Black in the coming days.
WHEELS OF FORTUNE - driver J Hay was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion early in the run home.
WHATA RAZZLE DAZZLE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1400m.
WHERE'S DADDY - late scratching on Veterinary advice at 2.48pm. Stood down pending a Veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
SUZIE ROCKS - weakened from the 600m. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Trainer S Matheson will be spoken to in the coming days for failing to advise this mare had been served.
Stable representative L Barrie advised Stewards on 11 November that SUZIE ROCKS has been served since last racing.
Race 9   THANK YOU CHRIS RICHARDSON MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared due to NGAROMA suffering a gear malfunction.
NGAROMA - weakened final bend. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be showing early signs of a respiratory infection. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the horse with trainer A Paisley in the coming days.
HENRY MAGUIRE - raced wide early and was restrained to the rear of the field. Raced wide again from the 600m. Hung inwards and paced roughly leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver P Hunter could offer no explanation however added he expected the gelding to derive considerable benefit from its first start back from a spell.
STILL ROCKIN - hampered by a weakening runner on the final bend. Paced roughly leaving the final bend and in the run home.
Race 10   CAMERON CONTRACTING MOBILE PACE
TARTAN RAIDER - driver O Kite was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion early in the run home.
TABASCO - over-raced middle stages.
MACANDREW NAVIGATOR - broke in the score-up hampering a trailing runner and was out of position at the candy pole. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
BEEZ NEEZ - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1400m.
MELTON MAFIA - held up early in the run home.
INSARCHATWIST - over-raced in the early and middle stages.
BUBBA SCRUB - raced wide early.
BEAUTY BARRY - weakened final bend.
SISTER CHERIE - hampered by a breaking runner in the score-up and was back from position at the start. Lay outwards leaving the final bend.
Following the race Stewards sought a Ruling from the Adjudicative Committee to determine whether SISTER CHERIE had been denied a fair start when hampered by MACANDREW NAVIGATOR which broke in the score-up, resulting in SISTER CHERIE being back from its allocated position at the start. After viewing replays and hearing evidence from driver B Orange, Starter B Ward and Stewards, the Adjudicative Committee ruled SISTER CHERIE had been denied a fair start and was subsequently declared a non-runner.
