Race 1 - CATERING SOUTH CANTERBURY (AMATEUR DRIVERS) MOBILE PACE
Stewards have concluded an investigation into the tactics of driver J Buckland-Stevens (SHARDS FURY) when challenging MAXIMILIAN for the lead passing the 1600m. After viewing replays of the race and considering the explanation of Mrs Buckland-Stevens along with reviewing the gelding's racing history, Stewards were satisfied that the tactics were not entirely unreasonable when considering the distance Mrs Buckland-Stevens challenged for the lead and the sectional times of the race. However, Stewards advised Mrs Buckland-Stevens that in their opinion she had erred in her decision making by not restraining her runner earlier to afford it some respite when it became apparent the lead was not available and issued her with a warning for her lack of judgement.

Race 5 - MICHAEL BENDALL AT CORCORAN FRENCH MOBILE PACE
Trainer P Burrows admitted a breach of Rule 502A(2) in that he presented RAKERO SLAMMER to race instead of the nominated RAKERO SCOTTY resulting in the horse being declared a late scratching. After hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $500.

Race 1   ALAN EDGE AMATEUR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared when TANE J J dislodged driver C Negus when leaving the pre-race formation and escaped driverless. Acting under Rule 213(1)(a) the gelding was declared a late scratching by Order of Stewards. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the horse. Mrs Negus was examined by St John personnel and cleared of injury.
PHONE TAP - driver J Buckland-Stevens was warned for using her whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
JUSTACE - held up final bend.
TOMMYSONAROLL - weakened leaving the final bend. Driver A Fitzgerald reported the gelding had over-raced during the running and may have choked down. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a small laceration on the near fore leg. Mr Fitzgerald defended a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) alleging that he drove carelessly near the 400m when allowing his runner to strike the sulky wheel of PLAY BY EAR resulting in the tyre being punctured. After viewing the replays and hearing the evidence, the Adjudicative Committee upheld the charge and suspended Mr Fitzgerald's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 16 December 2022 (6 weeks).
MAYBE - driver J Simpson was warned for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home. When questioned regarding the improved performance trainer M Purvis advised the gelding had benefited from having its races spaced and being ridden in training.
PLAY BY EAR - driver C Wigg reported she sustained a punctured sulky tyre rounding the final bend.
ARIZONAWILDCAT - raced wide early. Held up early and middle stages of the run home. Driver K McClintock reported he did not activate the removable deafeners or sliding blinds in consequence. Mr McClintock was warned for loose reining late in the run home.
WOLFENSTEIN - raced wide early.
MAID OF MONEY - weakened leaving the final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up the recovery of the mare with connections in the coming days.
EDGE SHEERAN - paced roughly in the score up however was in position at the start. Paced roughly and broke near the 500m losing all chance. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial prior to resuming.
Race 2   RANGIORA FARRIER SHOP MOBILE TROT
The start was delayed two minutes at the request of the TAB.
JIMMY VESEY - bucked late in the score up for a considerable distance and lost its chance. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial from a mobile prior to resuming.
MATTHEW EYRE - held up final bend and trotted roughly.
DHONI TROUBLE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 450m.
MISS GRACIE - driver A Faulks was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
YOGI SON - raced wide early. Broke near the 450m losing all chance.
SUNNYS SISTER - trotted roughly in the early stages. Again trotted roughly in the run home and was unable to be driven out by driver J Dunn.
HELLOVEAMOMENT - hampered by a breaking runner near the 450m. Broke near the 150m.
TOO ZEALOUS - broke in the score up losing all chance. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts.

TOPAZ - raced wide early.
REBELJUSTFORKICKS - the boring pole was removed prior to the start after breaking due to the gelding becoming fractious. Broke early in the score up and was out of position at the candy pole. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
TACT TEEL - over-raced middle stages. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Ottley could offer no explanation and was slightly disappointed with the effort.
ELEPHANTINTHEROOM - cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts.
CEEYA NEXT WEDNESDAY - paced roughly and lay inwards through the middle stages. Hung inwards final bend causing driver B Orange considerable difficulty. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
Race 5   LOCHARBURN STANDING AT PHOEBE STUD MOBILE PACE
CHEMMY - trainer K Chapman was warned for being late to present the filly onto the track. Out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver J Dunn. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Weakened final bend. Mr Dunn advised he had difficulty steering the horse and would be recommending gear changes prior to resuming.
INDIANA ARDEN - weakened final bend.
JULIETTE SHARD - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
MICAITLEN DENARIO - retired from the race near the 1300m after sustaining a punctured sulky tyre in the early stages which came off the rim.
MAJOR HAPPY - raced wide early stages. Driver K Newman (assisted by T Williams) defended a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) alleging he drove carelessly shortly after the start when shifting inwards and contacting the sulky wheel of MICAITLEN DENARIO (N Williamson) resulting in the tyre puncturing and coming off the rim. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and drivers K Newman, T Williams and N Williamson, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and suspended Mr Newman's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 11 November up to and including 19 November 2022 (2 days).
Race 6   CARLTON AT WAI EYRE FARM HANDICAP TROT
RACHMANINOV - held up early and middle stages of the run home.
INSTANT DELIGHT - driver J Dunn advised he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
BUFFY NORTHSTAINS - driver S Tomlinson reported the mare had hung throughout causing her difficulty.
TOM BRADY - driver G Smith was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for being late to arrive on course for his drive. Broke near the 1600m losing ground. Broke again passing the 450m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
SUMMER LOVIN - began awkwardly. Raced wide early and middle stages. Switched to a pace before breaking near the 1100m losing ground. Broke again near the 800m losing all chance. Eased down and pulled up near the 200m after becoming awkward in its action. Transported from the track by the Horse Ambulance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a minor laceration to the off front fetlock.
WITH GRACE - slow in the early stages. Trotted roughly middle stages losing ground.
Race 7   RAKERO REBEL 'RANGIORA HORSE OF THE YEAR' MOBILE PACE
SPICY GIRL BECQUI - held up final bend.
CORFU BROMAC - placed in restricted room near the 900m and raced over track markers.
TAKEMYBREATHAWAY - shifted inwards near the 900m causing an inside runner to race over track markers. Driver J Dunn was issued a warning for the manner in which he drove. When questioned regarding the performance Mr Dunn was unable to provide any explanation and was disappointed with the effort.
PROSPECT PARK - raced wide early. Over-raced middle stages. Eased down passing the 1000m and was retired from the race. When questioned regarding the performance driver C Thornley advised in his opinion the gelding had choked down. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A warning was placed on the racing record of the horse.
KOWHAI SHADOW - weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Ottley advised the mare had worked hard through the middle stages to improve its position with the effort taking its toll after racing parked. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
OFF THE EDGE - driver G O'Reilly advised he was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord becoming entangled.
SCOTLYNN BEACH BOY - over-raced middle stages.
REFINE - trainer J McDermott reported the mare has had her hocks treated since last racing.
Race 8   DAWE CONTRACTING LTD HANDICAP PACE
KENNEDY - broke briefly at the start.
ART COLLECTOR - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
STAMP DUTY(AUS) - weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver R Close advised the gelding had worked hard in the early stages to obtain the lead with the effort taking its toll. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
PURE COURAGE - broke briefly at the start.
THE CONQUEROR - paced roughly for a distance passing the 150m.
FOVEAUX GAMBLER - broke at the start. Paced roughly passing the 200m and broke briefly.
IMAJOLLYWALLY - broke at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Raced wide throughout. Weakened final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Driver L Dobbs admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(g) in that he drove in a manner capable of diminishing his chances of winning when allowing his horse to race three wide throughout before weakening inside the final 400m. After viewing the replays and considering penalty submissions, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Dobbs' driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 10 November up to and including 10 May 2023 (6 months).
REAL MEN WEAR PINK - crowded rounding the first bend. Stumbled and broke near the 350m losing all chance. Driver J Morrison reported the gelding had cast the near front shoe. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
Race 9   CANTERBURY HONDA LTD MOBILE PACE
PINK FLAMINGO RUN - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
ROCK N DIAMONDS - held up by a weakening runner leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver C Dalgety advised the gelding had lost its momentum when being held up on the final bend and had hung throughout the running.
MOVE IT ON OVER - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1200m.
FRANCO CORNEL - weakened leaving the final bend.
JAVASA - hung outwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
KING ARTHUR - broke near the 500m hampering a trailing runner and losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
WESTAR LAD - held up early in the run home.
HEY TONIGHT - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance after breaking a hopple. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously good condition.

SARGENT BEST - when questioned regarding the performance trainer B Hill advised that the gelding may have been unsuited to racing parked.
FERNZ GOLDY - over-raced passing the 1200m after a slight easing of the pace.
MANDALAY BAY - raced wide early.
DAVID NIVEN - over-raced passing the 1200m after a slight easing of the pace. Held up passing the 600m.
THE RAGE - broke in the score up losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Raced wide from the 700m. Weakened final bend.
DANCING DESIRE - raced wide early. Driver B Orange reported he did not activate the hopple shorteners due to the filly pacing fluently compared to its last start when breaking.
