Race 8 - FRANKS MOTORCYCLES & 4 SPARES MOBILE PACE
Trainer L Bond advised Stewards on 23 October that subsequent blood tests conducted have revealed LIVY DESMA to have shown signs of muscle tie-up. Mr Bond added the mare has since had a change of feeding regime, has been working well and it his intention to continue on with the current preparation.

TANGIER TANGO - lay inwards final bend contacting track markers.
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - over-raced in the middle stages. Held up final bend.
CAST A SHADOW - hung outwards through the middle stages. Held up final bend and early stages of the run home.
LA MOTH - over-raced middle stages.
Race 2   JJ OTAGO/THOMPSON CONTRACTING MOBILE TROT
THE BRONX BOMBER - weakened from the 400m.
SUPERFASTSUPERSTAR - broke passing the 100m. A final warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
HOT SAUCY BETTY - raced wide early.
GEORGE THE FIRST - broke in the score-up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Over-raced middle stages. Broke again passing the 1000m hampering a trailing runner. Broke on a further occasion passing the 700m losing all chance.
AROHA KENNY - raced wide early. Driver M Williamson reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
FLYING WITHOUT WINGS - raced wide early. Trotted roughly over the concluding stages. Driver N Williamson reported he did not release the removable deafeners as a consequence.
JUSTINE JACCKA - raced wide early. Hampered by a breaking runner passing the 1000m. Broke passing the 500m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
Race 3   KENNY BUILDERS/MEL KENNY HARCOURTS BALCLUTHA MOBILE PACE
BOOT SCOOTIN BOOGIE - paced roughly passing the 900m. Weakened from the 600m.
MY PLEASURE - briefly hampered early in the run home when an inside runner shifted ground outwards.
MAGNETIC BECKERS - crowded by an outside runner racing into the first bend. Raced wide with cover from the 1100m.
SOPHIE - lay out early in the run home having to be straightened by driver R McIlwrick.
CASH AFFAIR - raced wide early.
CLASSIC MISSION - hung inwards racing into the first bend crowding MAGNETIC BECKERS. Raced wide early. Over-raced middle stages. Again raced wide with cover from the 1300m.
JAMES GARNER - raced three-wide without cover from the 1200m. Weakened final bend.
CONQUER CLARE - broke passing the 850m losing ground. Broke again rounding the final bend losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Driver M Shirley reported the mare had been striking its knee during the running.
Trainer T Dewe advised Stewards on 25th October that SOPHIE had a hock treated since last racing.
Race 4   NIGHT N' DAY LAWRENCE & MILTON/LIFE MEMBERS MOBILE PACE
MELTON MAFIA - lay inwards under pressure on the final bend contacting track markers.
BALLYMENA - paced roughly in the score-up.
LOU'S DEAL - lay inwards in the early stages when racing wide on the track. Continued to lay inwards on the bends.
SWEET TREAT - paced roughly in the score-up and was out of position at the start. Stood down to complete one mobile trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming. Continued to pace roughly at various stages throughout.
Trainer B Willis advised on 19th December that SWEET TREAT has had its hocks treated since last racing.
Race 5   MACCA LODGE/WATTLEBANK STANDARDBREDS MOBILE PACE
NOTONYOURNALLY - paced roughly in the score-up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Lay out and briefly locked wheels with NORTHVIEW ROCK near the 500m.
NORTHVIEW ROCK - trainer M Brown was issued with a warning for presenting this filly with sliding blinds and not the notified blinds. Briefly locked wheels with NOTONYOURNALLY near the 500m.
I SPY - out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Held up early in the run home. Briefly hampered near the 100m when an inside runner shifted ground outwards.
MACHNIFICENT MISS - over-raced in the middle stages. Lay out through the middle stages of the run home.
BRANXHOLME LASS - raced wide early.
Trainer R Austin advised Stewards on 25th October that MUCHO FUERTE has had its hocks treated since last racing.
Race 6   BILL FITZGERALD CONTRACTING/GOODMAN PLUMBING MOBILE PACE
SHERWOOD MAGGIE - lay inwards leaving the final bend striking track markers.
JABALI - held up by a weakening runner near the 600m. Again held up final bend.
TISBURY ROCKS - driver C Ferguson reported a sulky tyre had deflated in the run home.
STUNIN STAR - hampered by a weakening runner near the 600m.
SAGWITCH - lay inwards leaving the final bend striking track markers.
MAGIC SIGN - held up early in the run home.
FULL OF DESIRE - held up late in the run home.
R K FINN - weakened from the 600m.
MAXWELL ROBYN - held up final bend. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
Race 7   LAWRENCE TOWNHOUSE/CHAPMAN CONSTRUCTION HANDICAP TROT
TWO MENNY MUSCLES - lay in final bend.
AMBRO AMEIGO - broke shortly after the start hampering trailing runners and losing all chance. Stood down to complete one standing start trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
OUR PINOCCHIO - trotted roughly at the start then broke after 150m losing all chance.
COOL PHELAN - broke rounding the first bend losing all chance.
TOP POCKET CHANCE - broke passing the 1900m losing ground before switching to a pace losing all chance.
GIFT CARD - weakened leaving the final bend.
ABBY MAY - hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend. Broke near the 2200m. Broke again near the 1300m losing all chance.
LAURIES LEGACY - hampered by a breaking runner racing into the first bend. Trotted roughly in the run home and was unable to be driven out by driver B Williamson.
Race 8   TUAPEKA LODGE CUP (HANDICAP PACE)
QUADDIE VC - lay inwards near the 2200m and locked wheels with MOGUL. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Weakened from the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any obvious abnormality.
PAY ME SPEEDY - hampered and broke passing the 2200m and was retired from the race.
AMERICAN ME - tangled away.
MOGUL - locked wheels with QUADDIE VC near the 2200m.
GET UP N DANCE - slow away. Hampered by a breaking runner passing the 2100m losing ground. When asked to comment on the perceived disappointing performance trainer/driver N Williamson advised the gelding had felt lethargic throughout. Stewards will follow up the recovery of GET UP N DANCE with Mr Williamson in the coming days.
TOMMY WATERHOUSE - hampered by a breaking runner passing the 2100m losing ground.
Trainer N Williamson advised Stewards on 27 October that GET UP N DANCE has recovered well and will continue with its current preparation.
Race 9   SOUTHWEST SHEARING/ONE OVER THE MOON MOBILE PACE
BLACKADDER - held up final bend.
WHERE'S DADDY junior driver M Hurrell reported he had suffered a punctured sulky tyre on the final bend.
SANTANNA MACH - raced wide early.
XLENDI - shifted outwards near the 500m and contacted the sulky wheel of WHERE'S DADDY. Driver B Barclay admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) that he drove carelessly in this incident with the hearing being adjourned until Thursday 27 October due to technical issues.
CARRERA DANCE - hung inwards in the score-up causing driver K Green some difficulty. Continued to hang inwards at various stages throughout. Broke near the 500m when an inside runner shifted ground outwards. When questioned regarding this driver K Green advised that her gelding had hung in badly and overreacted when being forced wider on the track, then broke as a consequence.
Driver B Barclay (XLENDI) admitted a charge of careless driving when shifting ground outwards near the 500m and contacting the sulky wheel of WHERE'S DADDY resulting in the tyre deflating. After hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250.
