DIEDRE FRANCO - very slow in the early stages losing contact with the body of the field.
TERROR COVE - broke after 100m losing its chance.
JUSTINE JACCKA - broke rounding the first bend losing considerable ground. Broke again near the 100m.
ANDOVER THE KEYS - trotted roughly through the middle stages.
HARLEEN QUINZEL - broke racing into the first bend losing its chance.
GEORGE THE FIRST - shifted into the passing lane in the run home. Junior driver E Barron was warned to make a greater effort to ensure she leaves full access to the passing lane for trailing runners.

TEDDY BAKER - raced keenly through the early stages. Driver R McIlwrick was warned for crossing his reins and performing a celebratory gesture late in the run home.
MATAI HARRY - weakened final bend.
DONALD TROT - raced wide early. Weakened final bend.
MATADOR - caretaker trainer C Ferguson was issued with a warning for being late to present this gelding on course.
Race 3   A W KYLE BUILDER MOBILE PACE
FULL OF DESIRE - when questioned regarding the improved performance caretaker trainer S Armour advised that the mare had appreciated the change of environment since being stabled at her property following its last start as per the Horse Movement Regulations and had been working well in the lead up to today's race.
TISBURY ROCKS - driver K Green was warned for using her whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
MAXWELL ROBYN - paced roughly and weakened leaving the final bend. Stewards questioned driver A Milne regarding the tactics he adopted during the running. Mr Milne explained that the gelding had commenced to over-race once being left to race without cover shortly after the start, so he attempted to challenge SHERWOOD MAGGIE for the lead rounding the first bend. However, after being unsuccessful the gelding had continued to over-race and as he felt his runner may choke down he allowed it to improve its position to race alongside the leading SHERWOOD MAGGIE which had enabled the horse to relax and race in a more tractable manner. Mr Milne requested that the gelding be placed on the Unruly for future mobile starts to allow the horse a better opportunity to obtain cover in its races. After considering his explanation, Stewards took the matter no further.
SHERWOOD MAGGIE - crowded late in the run home after an inside runner had hung outwards. Driver B Williamson admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and Whip & Rein Regulations in that he used his whip free of the rein and with more than a wrist flicking motion near the 1900m. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300.
HALEY ROBYN - over-raced in the middle stages and hung outwards causing junior driver K Tomlinson some difficulty.
Race 4   ALABAR EARLY BIRD PAYMENTS DUE 30 SEPT MOBILE PACE
ELOUISA DALE - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
ROBYNS SHADOW - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
JENNY GUMP - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer D McLachlan could only offer that the mare had benefitted from an economical run throughout.
HOKONUI SAM - hung outwards in the middle stages. Weakened final bend.
Race 5   CONGRATULATIONS ALISTER BLACK ON 100 WINS MOBILE PACE
JAMES GARNER - held up leaving the final bend. Paced roughly throughout the run home. Junior driver D Anderson, assisted by C Ferguson, was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion and in a continuous manner in the run home.
BOBBIES ROCK - held up leaving the final bend. Lay inwards throughout the run home.
THE DARK KNIGHT - weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver R McIlwrick advised he was disappointed with the effort and could offer no tangible excuse. Stewards will follow up with trainer R Swain in the coming days.
MYDADTHETERROR - when questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised the gelding had been unsuited to the fast closing sectionals of the race and had been unable to make ground.
SMOKIN CHEDDA - raced wide early.
BLACKADDER - cleared from the Unruly for future mobile starts.
Trainer R Swain advised Stewards on 29 September that THE DARK KNIGHT will be sent for a brief spell.
Race 6   MAJESTIC SON AUSTRALASIA'S CHAMPION SIRE HANDICAP TROT
ANDIAMO - broke at the start losing its chance.
HURRICANE HILL - raced greenly near the 1200m when attempting to improve to the lead having to be steadied by driver B Williamson. Mr Williamson reported he did not release the removable deafeners due to the gelding trotting roughly in the run home and having the field covered.
SIOUX PRINCESS - tangled away.
Race 7   WOODLANDS STUD 30 YEARS OF WORLD CLASS BREEDING MOB PACE
FRANCO HUNTINGTON - lost ground on the final bend hampering a trailing runner.
OWES ME DOUGH - raced wide early.
I'M TROUBLE - raced four-wide early.
BEEZ NEEZ - weakened final bend.
PERCY - hung inwards and struck several track markers when weakening leaving the final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness to the right hind leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
IDEAL PRINCE - held up by a weakening runner on the final bend. Paced roughly near the 400m after becoming awkwardly placed to the inside of SARGENT BEST when attempting to force that runner wider on the track. Again, held up over the concluding stages. Stewards questioned junior driver E Barron regarding the tactics she adopted leaving the final bend when electing to shift ground inwards rather than improving to the outside of SARGENT BEST which had been racing ahead of her runner. Miss Barron explained that after the gelding had lost several lengths near the 400m she felt it was in her best interests to shift inwards and save ground as she had been aware that a gap had presented itself to the inside of the leading CARRERA DANCE. Miss Barron further explained that once she had commenced to shift ground inwards R K FINN had also improved simultaneously into that position resulting in IDEAL PRINCE being held up over the concluding stages. After considering the explanation tendered and viewing the replays, Stewards were satisfied Miss Barron's tactics were not unreasonable in the circumstances and took the matter no further. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
R K FINN - junior driver K Bublitz, assisted by B Williamson, was warned for allowing his runner to race inside track markers when anticipating a run to the inside of FRANCO HUNTINGTON leaving the final bend.
MAGNETIC TERROR - raced wide without cover from the 900m.
