Pre-race blood testing was carried out.

The fire alarm was activated in the stable block after Race 4 at approximately 7pm with all horses and participants having to be evacuated. Due to the delay the meeting was put back one race with Race 11 re-scheduled to start at 10.35pm.

PACIFIC CLIPPER - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
CHRISLYNN - briefly hampered by a breaking runner approaching the 100m.
MORE GOODA - briefly hampered near the 500m. Driver R Close reported the removable deafeners were not activated due to having the field covered.
DREAM PROSPECT - paced roughly near the 500m and had to be steadied. Again paced roughly early in the run home before breaking inside the final 150m. When questioned regarding the performance co-trainer/driver M Purdon could offer no explanation and advised he would consider making gear changes prior to the gelding resuming. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
Race 2   EDMONDS FAMILY THANK EVERYONE FOR THEIR SUPPORT HCP TROT
GINAS MAJESTY - lay outwards throughout the run home and trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
ALI LINDENNY - lay out through the middle stages.
WESTAR MILLY - broke briefly at the start. Hampered after 100m. Raced four wide from the 700m. Weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Hope reported the filly may be better suited when being saved for one run.
TRES MAGNIFIQUE - broke after 100m losing ground and hampering trailing runners. Held up final bend.
SUNNY SON - hampered by a breaking runner in the early stages. Broke near the 500m.
NAVARA - hampered by a breaking runner after 100m and trotted roughly.
SASSY STAR - broke at the start losing all chance and was retired from the race.
BOSS KENNY - held up early in the run home.

Race 3   WOODLANDS STUD SUPPORTING OUR FUTURE MOBILE PACE
CARMELITE - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. Driver C Dalgety was reminded of his obligations to ensure he immediately takes his horse clear of the field when clearance exists after breaking.
MAJOR HAPPY - paced roughly in the run home having to be steadied.
AARDIEBYTHESEASIDE - driver T Williams reported the removable deafeners were not activated due to having the field covered.
TAKEITOUT - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Over-raced passing the 1000m and paced roughly before breaking again losing ground. When spoken to regarding the performance driver S O'Reilly reported the filly had resented the track kick back and she would be recommending gear changes prior to the horse resuming.
Race 4   CANTERBURY SPA & POOL SIRES' STAKES CLASSIQUE MOB TROT
The start was delayed due to the boring pole on MINNIE MCGOOGAN requiring adjustment.
TOO ZEALOUS - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Hampered near the 1000m due to an easing of the pace and broke losing all chance.
LUCINDA HEST - broke after 100m losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
TRUE CONFESSIONS - hampered near the 1000m due to an easing of the pace and had to be steadied. Held up leaving the final bend and early in the run home.
PARAMOUNT EMPRESS - lay outwards leaving the final bend and in the run home. Crowded late in the run home by an outside runner having to be restrained.
MAJESTIC LOVE - lay outwards in the run home.
MINNIE MCGOOGAN - trotted roughly when over-racing passing the 1000m after becoming awkwardly placed close to the sulky wheel of MAJESTIC LOVE after a slight easing of the pace resulting in trailing runners being hampered. Held up final bend.
HIDDEN TALENT - out of position at the candy pole. Driver N Williamson was issued a warning. Raced wide early. Mr Williamson admitted a charge under Rule 869(4) and the Home Straight Regulations in that he allowed his runner to shift inwards over the concluding stages with PARAMOUNT EMPRESS being hampered. After viewing the films and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $600.
MIXED FAITH - broke near the 200m.

WESTAR LAD - hung inwards final bend striking several track markers.
PIXIE - late scratching at 4.45pm on Veterinary advice.
WATCHING OUR COIN - driver G O'Reilly was issued with a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
KING ARTHUR - broke as the start was effected losing all chance and was retired from the race. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
REFINE - trainer J McDermott advised Stewards the mare would be racing in season. Permission was granted for the mare to race in hopples tonight. Held up throughout the run home contacting a track marker. Driver R Close reported he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
MIGHTY REACTOR - briefly hampered near the 150m when an outside runner shifted marginally inwards.
ACENTO - briefly lay inwards into the passing lane early in the run home having to be corrected by its driver.
PRESS PLAY - held up final bend and early in the run home.
APATCHOFGOLD - over-raced early stages. Hung outwards throughout the run home causing driver C Thornley some difficulty.
GET BACK - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
TEDS LEGACY - out of position at the candy pole despite the efforts of driver T Williams. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Hampered by a breaking runner at the start.
Race 6   LAMB & HAYWARD MOBILE TROT
MAGNITUDE - paced after 100m before breaking losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
EYRE I WILL - briefly crowded racing into the first bend. Weakened final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver S Ottley reported the gelding had raced parked for the majority of the event and may be better suited when able to obtain cover.
KRACKALING - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. Received treatment from the on-course Veterinarian following the race for a laceration to the left fore fetlock.
KAWHI - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
THE FIERY COUNTESS - proved difficult to leave the pre-race circle requiring the assistance of the Starting Crew and Clerk of the Course. Hung inwards racing into the first bend briefly crowding an inside runner. Again hung inwards final bend striking track markers.
MATTHEW EYRE - cleared from the unruly for future mobile starts. Hampered by a breaking runner after 100m. Held up final bend and in the early and middle stages of the run home. When questioned regarding the improved performance trainer T Jellyman advised he had made some gear changes and the gelding had been trialing well recently.
Race 7   GRAPHITE DEVELOPMENTS SHOW DAY FUTURITY PRELUDE MOB PACE
PEARL'S A SINGER - held up final bend.
RITA BONITA - over-raced middle stages. Held up final bend.
I'M YOUR HUCKLEBERRY - when questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn reported the gelding had over-raced through the middle stages with the effort taking its toll.
TOWER OF LOVE - hung outwards rounding the first bend. Paced roughly passing the 2100m when being restrained to take cover. Over-raced middle stages.
SIRIUS - crowded shortly after the start and paced roughly. Raced wide early.
MEE TOO - hung inwards shortly after the start crowding an inside runner. Again hung inwards final bend when weakening causing driver R Holmes difficulty. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the left fore leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
Race 8   HYDROFLOW HANDICAP TROT
DD'S SUPER STUART - held up early in the run home. Briefly hampered by a breaking runner near the 100m.
PRINCE TEKA - lay inwards near the 1500m striking track markers.
MADELEINE STOWE - trotted roughly passing the 850m losing ground. Lay inwards rounding the final bend striking a track marker. Briefly hampered by a breaking runner near the 100m.
ROYAL DEL - raced wide early.
TEST THE BOUNDARIES - held up early in the run home.
FIGHTING FIRE - trotted roughly middle stages and again on the final bend when weakening. Broke passing the 150m. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised he was disappointed and could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
WITH ICE - paced for a short distance at the start.
Stable representative J Dunn advised Stewards on 29 September that FIGHTING FIRE has been sent for a spell.
Race 9   CUP WEEK TICKETS SELLING FAST MOBILE PACE
BOLLINGER - held up early in the run home and again over the concluding stages.
MAGIC FOUR - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
FRANCO MAC - over-raced for a distance passing the 2000m when being restrained to take cover. Briefly crowded near the 1900m.
FRANCO INDIE - raced wide early. Raced greenly when improving to the lead near the 1900m briefly crowding an inside runner.
JOHNNY MAC - over-raced middle stages.
LIFES A BEACH - weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Morrison advised the mare had over-raced during the running and was of the opinion the horse would derive benefit from its first start back from a spell. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
HOMEBUSH LAD - over-raced and paced roughly early stages. Continued to over-race middle stages. Weakened final bend.
Race 10   WOODLANDS STUD SIRES' STAKES (HEAT 1) MOBILE PACE
WHO'S DELIGHT - hung inwards final bend and paced roughly. Continued to hang inwards throughout the run home. Driver J Dunn reported he did not activate the hopple shorteners due to the gelding pacing roughly.
CARRERA RAPIDO - hung inwards final bend and continued to hang inwards throughout the run home.
WARRIOR CHIEF - raced wide early.
HOLY HECKA - hampered by a slight easing of the pace near the 1400m. Held up early in the run home.
WISH ME LUCK - driver O Thornley reported she sustained a punctured sulky tyre on the final bend.
THE REAL MCCOY - the rein pricker was removed prior to the start after warming up unfavourably. Broke near the 1400m after a slight easing of the pace. Broke again near the 800m losing all chance.
SHERLOCK - bucked early in the score up causing driver N Rasmussen considerable difficulty. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Hampered by a slight easing of the pace near the 1400m. Again hampered final bend.
DA VINCI - hampered by a slight easing of the pace near the 1400m. Broke near the 300m after becoming awkwardly placed close to the sulky of SHERLOCK.
MAJOR TORQUE - held up throughout the run home. Driver S Ottley reported the sliding blinds and removable deafeners were not activated in consequence.
Race 11   FIRST DIRECT TAXIS MOBILE PACE
INVITATION ONLY - the boring pole was removed prior to the start after warming up unfavourably.
HAPPY PLACE - raced wide early.
SIR BRIGADOON - held up final bend. Driver J Morrison was issued a warning for allowing his runner to race inside track markers leaving the final bend when activating the removable deafeners.
SHOW ME HEAVEN - raced wide early. Weakened from the 600m. When questioned regarding the performance driver E Barron could offer no explanation. Co-trainer A Telfer was of the opinion the mare had been unsuited to racing parked and races best over shorter distances. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
MATT MAJOR - hung inwards final bend striking track markers. When questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams could offer no explanation and was disappointed with the effort. Co-trainer A Telfer was also at a loss to explain the performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
ARTATAC - held up by a weakening runner final bend. Briefly crowded near the 150m.
FRANCO HOFFMAN - over-raced middle stages. Held up early and middle stages of the run home.
SWEET BELLE - over-raced early.
