BETTORLINI - shifted out passing the 200m hampering outside runners. Authorisation of 1st placing was withheld until Stewards had spoken with driver J Cox (HES SANTAS EXCUSE) placed 2nd, regarding whether his chances of winning had been affected when hampered by BETTORLINI. After viewing the replays Mr Cox elected not to proceed with a protest with all placings being authorised. Junior driver B Hope (assisted by M Williamson) was shown the films and warned for the manner in which he shifted ground. | |
THE RAGE - broke early in the score up however was in position at the start. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver B Butt advised he was disappointed with the effort and he would be having blood tests taken. Stewards will follow up the results in the coming days. | |
ROSIES TERROR - retired from the race near the 1400m with broken gear. Trainer G Prendergast will be spoken to in the coming days regarding failing to affix the front carrier strap so as not to come adrift. | |

TEDS LEGACY - broke racing into the first bend hampering a trailing runner and lost considerable ground. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1500m having to be steadied. | |

OFF THE EDGE - became awkwardly positioned inside FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ passing the 1500m when FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ failed to concede its position prior to OFF THE EDGE reaching its sulky wheel with OFF THE EDGE having to be restrained and breaking losing ground. | |
HILARIOUS PRINCE - a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the connections revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days. | |
