DHONI TROUBLE - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
OPAWA PEAK - broke at the start losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MAGNITUDE - held up middle stages of the run home.
RANDOM SPUR - held up early in the run home.
ROSE ISLE - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
TU TANGATA - held up early in the run home.
A LATE LATE PRESSY - raced wide from the 900m.
WITH PURPOSE - broke briefly near the 500m.
JIMMY VESEY - slow over the early stages.

Race 2   SOUTH ISLAND SEEDS MOBILE PACE
THE MATRIARCH - trainer K Cox was warned for not having the correct colours available.
EL TERROR - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after not having raced for a considerable period of time and was cleared to start.
CORFU BROMAC - trainer M Edmonds was issued with a warning for being late to present CORFU BROMAC on course. Raced wide early.
MANYARA - when questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn was unable to provide any tangible explanation.
VRILO - trainer A Stuart was issued with a warning for being late to present VRILO on course.
Race 3   ADVENTURE BALLOONS NZ PACE
AIRIES GOLD - shifted inwards at the start and jumped a track marker losing ground. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
PRINCESS LEIA - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
STARC TROUBLE - back from its position at the start. Weakened near the 700m.
Trainer B Butt advised Stewards on 16 September that PRINCESS LEIA has been treated for a virus since last racing and will be freshened prior to resuming.
Race 4   BRINKLEY VILLAGE MOBILE PACE
WESTAR LAD - hampered near the 200m when BETTORLINI shifted outwards.
HES SANTAS EXCUSE - hampered near the 200m when BETTORLINI shifted outwards.
BETTORLINI - shifted out passing the 200m hampering outside runners. Authorisation of 1st placing was withheld until Stewards had spoken with driver J Cox (HES SANTAS EXCUSE) placed 2nd, regarding whether his chances of winning had been affected when hampered by BETTORLINI. After viewing the replays Mr Cox elected not to proceed with a protest with all placings being authorised. Junior driver B Hope (assisted by M Williamson) was shown the films and warned for the manner in which he shifted ground.
THE RAGE - broke early in the score up however was in position at the start. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver B Butt advised he was disappointed with the effort and he would be having blood tests taken. Stewards will follow up the results in the coming days.
ROSIES TERROR - retired from the race near the 1400m with broken gear. Trainer G Prendergast will be spoken to in the coming days regarding failing to affix the front carrier strap so as not to come adrift.
Trainer B Butt advised Stewards on 16 September that THE RAGE has been treated for a virus since last racing and will be freshened prior to resuming.
Race 5   METHVEN SEED CLEANING TROT
SUNNY SON - hampered by a weakening runner on the final bend.
RUSH - trotted roughly near the 100m having to be restrained.
ZSAHARA - slow to begin.
GINAS MAJESTY - raced wide early. Hampered by a weakening runner on the final bend. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
ABACARDI HAZEL - driver S Tomlinson advised she was unable to activate the removable deafeners due to the cord breaking. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously good condition.
REINDEER TROUBLE - broke near the 900m losing ground. Driver G O'Reilly advised the mare had been striking the sulky wheel discs.
PAT THE MONKEY - weakened on the final bend hampering trailing runners.
KOHLI TROUBLE - broke briefly at the start. Over-raced middle stages.
MAJESTIC WHISPER - trotted roughly through the early stages.
Race 6   THE DUBLINER PACE
FERNLEIGH BLACKBIRD - broke at the start losing ground.
ART COLLECTOR - over-raced middle stages.
APATCHOFGOLD - raced wide final bend.
PRESS PLAY - broke near the 350m losing its chance.
Race 7   BETAVET JUNIOR DRIVERS MOBILE PACE
There was a delay to the start when the sulky on PHONE TAP required attention.
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - driver K Bublitz was shown a replay and spoken to advisedly in relation to conceding his position at the first available opportunity when being eased down by an outside runner when clear of other runners on his inside. When assessing this incident, Stewards took into account that the gelding had lay outwards when Mr Bublitz had attempted to shift inwards.
WHITE STAR ORLANDO - weakened final bend. Driver D van Til reported the gelding had been striking the sulky wheel discs during the running.
KING ARTHUR - hampered racing into the first bend.
TEDS LEGACY - broke racing into the first bend hampering a trailing runner and lost considerable ground. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1500m having to be steadied.
SARGENT BEST - the seat on the sulky shifted over the concluding stages placing driver M Hill at a disadvantage.
PROTEUS - trainer G Smith was warned for not having the correct colours available.
OFF THE EDGE - became awkwardly positioned inside FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ passing the 1500m when FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ failed to concede its position prior to OFF THE EDGE reaching its sulky wheel with OFF THE EDGE having to be restrained and breaking losing ground.
HILARIOUS PRINCE - a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the connections revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
OLIVE COOK - driver K Tomlinson will be spoken to in the coming days regarding using her whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
Trainer D Iremonger advised Stewards on 15 September that HILARIOUS PRINCE has recovered well with the gelding continuing its current preparation.
Trainer G Smith advised Stewards on 16 September that PROTEUS has been treated for a virus since last racing.
Junior driver K Tomlinson (OLIVE COOK) admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulation in that she used her whip in a continuous manner in the run home. After hearing submissions from the Stewards and Miss Tomlinson the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250.
Race 8   PETER LAGAN STANDARDBREDS MOBILE PACE
BEST TRIO - driver J Morrison reported the removable deafeners were not activated due to having the field covered.
IT'S A SHAWTHING - over-raced middle stages. Struck track markers rounding the final bend.
SPICY GIRL BECQUI - raced wide early.
NYLA - held up early in the run home.
Race 9   RAINER IRRIGATION HANDICAP PACE
NED KELLY - broke briefly at the start. Over-raced middle stages.
JUST MICHAEL - Trainer J Hooper advised JUST MICHAEL has had its stifles treated since last racing.
FOVEAUX GAMBLER - broke briefly near the 350m.
DENNIS DENUTO - over-raced middle stages.
Race 10   MOUNT HUTT MOTELS HANDICAP TROT
KING OF LOVE - held up early in the run home.
ROYAL DIEDRE - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
LA REINA DEL SUR - fractious prior to the start. Broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
BUFFY NORTHSTAINS - lay inwards rounding the final bend striking track markers.
CODY BANNER - trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
LISTEN EASY - over-raced middle stages. Driver G O'Reilly advised he received a punctured sulky tyre when being shifted wider on the track on the final bend when weakening simultaneously to SHANDON BELLS improving on his outside.
Race 11   HANLEY FORMULA MOBILE PACE
SISTER'S DELIGHT - held up early in the run home.
RUBY'S A DELIGHT - over-raced early and middle stages.
LUMINITE - raced wide early.
ACENTO - when questioned regarding the performance driver R Holmes advised he was disappointed with the effort. Trainer D Thompson advised he will be making gear changes prior to resuming.
Trainer K Green advised that REFLECTIONSOFMYLIFE was served on 25th October 2022.
