Race 1   LEITHFIELD MOBILE PACE (AMATEUR DRIVERS) MOBILE PACE
NO GEE ESS TEE - the required veterinary clearance was received. Checked after an easing of the pace near the 1700m losing ground.
PHONE TAP - checked after an easing of the pace near the 1700m losing ground.
SONGBIRD - hampered after an easing of the pace near the 1700m. Driver D Simpson was issued with a warning for using his whip outside the sulky confines and free of the rein early in the run home.
BOLZANO - driver A Edge was issued with a warning for being late to arrive at the start area. Mr Edge defended a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) alleging that he drove carelessly near the 1700m when easing the pace in an abrupt manner checking trailing runners. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and Mr Edge's driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 28 October 2022 (2 months).
TOMMYSONAROLL - driver A Fitzgerald will be spoken to regarding the manner he used his whip leaving the final bend and in the early stages of the run home.
ARIZONAWILDCAT - driver K McClintock was issued with a warning for using his whip free of the rein early in the run home.
CHANGEAROUND - raced wide early until reaching the parked position near the 1900m. Driver C Wigg admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations for using her whip free of the rein on one occasion near the 150m. After hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Ms Wigg's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 28 September 2022 (1 month).
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - over-raced middle stages. Checked after an easing of the pace near the 1700m. Improved wide without cover from the 700m. Driver C Negus was issued with a warning for her lack of control on the final bend after allowing her runner to shift wider on the track when activating gear.
WOLFENSTEIN - checked after an easing of the pace near the 1700m and broke losing all chance.
Driver A Fitzgerald (TOMMYSONAROLL) admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion leaving the final bend and in the early stages of the run home. After hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Fitzgerald's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 2 September up to and including 14 October 2022 (6 weeks).
Race 2   OXFORD TROT
THE FIERY COUNTESS - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Lay inwards final bend striking a track marker. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities.
COURTNEY MAY - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
OPAWA PEAK - fractious prior to the start. Broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Broke again after 150m. Weakened from the 400m.
EYRE I WILL - late scratching at 9.40am on Veterinary advice.
CIRCUS CIRCUS - fractious prior to the start. Paced in the early stages having to be broken up by its driver losing all chance and was retired from the race. Stewards lodged a protest under Rule 859(3) alleging the mare had started in advance of its correct barrier position on the unruly despite the efforts of driver J Dunn. The connections did not contest the protest and the mare was disqualified from the race and declared a late scratching. Stood down to trial satisfactorily on one occasion from a standing start prior to resuming.
Race 3   BETAVET - HOME STRAIGHT SPONSORS MOBILE PACE
MEE TOO - weakened final bend.
MYSTIFY ME - permission was granted for the filly to race in alternative colours. Held up final bend.
PEMBROOK'S PRINCESS - broke in the score up losing all chance. Stood down to complete one satisfactory mobile trial prior to resuming. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in a front leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
AARDIEBYTHESEASIDE - driver T Williams reported he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
JUDINE - hung inwards throughout the run home and shifted into the passing lane despite the efforts of driver J Dunn. Mr Dunn advised he would be recommending gear changes prior to the filly resuming.
MAJOR HAPPY - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver K Newman. Paced roughly on the final bend having to be steadied. Held up leaving the final bend and early in the run home.
ELITE STYX - driver R May was warned for allowing his runner to strike the final track marker prior to the passing lane and another track marker near the 150m.
CLOUDING OVER - underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the connections which revealed the filly to be suffering from muscle tie up.
The connections advised Stewards on 2 September that PEMBROOK'S PRINCESS has been retired from racing.
Race 4   SEFTON PACE
RACINGMISSGRACIE - broke passing the 350m checking trailing runners. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial prior to resuming. The connections advised that the mare had sustained a punctured sulky tyre during the running.
RAPID RESPONSE - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Over-raced middle stages. Checked by a breaking runner near the 350m.
MANDALAY BAY - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after coming into contact with the sulky of BEAUDIENE QUICK STEP in the preliminary and was cleared to start. Broke briefly at the start.
BEAUDIENE QUICK STEP - tangled away. Checked by a breaking runner near the 350m.
HANOI FRANCO - paced roughly at the start and broke after 100m losing ground. Checked by a breaking runner near the 350m. Hung inwards and paced roughly on the final bend and in the run home.
Race 5   RAY CARLSON - RETIRING COMMITTEE MEMBER TROT
ZSAHARA - broke at the start losing ground.
GINAS MAJESTY - tangled away. Hung inwards final bend and trotted roughly. Continued to trot roughly in the run home.
GRANNY ROSE - broke racing into the first bend. Broke again near the 500m losing all chance.
CASHEM - broke at the start losing all chance.
RUBY SEDDON - trotted roughly in the run home.
TAKE NOTICE - broke after 150m losing all chance.
Race 6   STABLE TO STIRRUP MOBILE PACE
WILL HE ROCK - raced wide early. When questioned regarding the performance driver R Close advised the gelding had worked hard in the early stages when racing wide on the track to obtain the lead with the effort taking its toll.
KING ARTHUR - raced four wide early and wide without cover until reaching the parked position near the 1300m. Held up final bend and throughout the run home.
SISTER'S DELIGHT - over-raced early when being restrained to the rear of the field.
R K FINN - weakened near the 500m. When questioned regarding the performance driver M Williamson advised the gelding had been unsuited to the tempo of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
MOSSDALE MAC - over-raced middle stages. Held up final bend and again late in the run home.
ALEXIS ROCKET - trainer M House was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the gelding with blinds which had not been notified. Bucked in the score up causing driver B Orange considerable difficulty with the gelding losing all chance and was retired from the race. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts and stood down to trial satisfactorily from a mobile start on one occasion prior to resuming.
PROTEUS - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer/driver G Smith advised that he was not surprised with the effort of the gelding considering it had been treated for a virus and recovered well since its last start as previously notified.
Race 7   TAB NZ - NO DEDUCTIONS, NO SURPRISES MOBILE PACE
BETTORLINI - held up final bend and early in the run home.
RAKANOTTA - driver C Dalgety reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre rounding the first bend.
JUDGEMENT BAY - held up final bend.
WHO MADE WHO - over-raced in the score up. Weakened final bend. Driver S Boyd reported the mare had hung throughout causing him difficulty.
COME TOGETHER - when spoken to regarding the performance driver B Butt reported the mare had been unsuited to racing parked. Mr Butt defended a charge under Rule 869(5) alleging that he half carted for a distance passing the 1500m. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and imposed a fine of $200.
ACENTO - trainer D Thompson was warned for not having the correct colours available. Paced roughly racing into the first bend. Became awkwardly placed close to the sulky of RAKANOTTA near the 1650m after a slight easing of the pace and struck the sulky wheel of that runner despite the efforts of driver R Holmes.
CARRERA LUCIA - held up final bend and throughout the run home.
Race 8   RANGIORA COMMITTEE & STEWARDS PACE
STAR MAGIC - held up final bend and early in the run home.
NED KELLY - paced roughly and hung inwards final bend.
PURE COURAGE - hung outwards throughout causing driver K Cameron some difficulty. Struck a track marker leaving the final bend.
LET'S GO RINGO - hung inwards early in the run home when attempting to improve wide on the track.
SOUTHERLY CHANGE - raced wide early.
SEAPRIS - raced wide early. Over-raced when being restrained to obtain cover passing the 1400m.
BUENA VISTA - paced roughly final bend.

GALLEONS AMBASSADOR - slow to begin.
RUSH - broke near the 500m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
SASSY STAR - broke rounding the first bend losing considerable ground. Severely checked by TOM BRADY rounding the final bend losing all chance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
BROTHER LOVE - briefly hampered by a breaking runner near the 500m. Again hampered by a breaking runner near the 400m.
TAKE AFTER ME - broke near the 500m losing all chance. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial prior to resuming.
ABACARDI HAZEL - hampered by a breaking runner near the 500m.
TOM BRADY - raced wide early. Broke near the 400m checking trailing runners losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
KOHLI TROUBLE - hampered by a breaking runner near the 500m.

INSTANT DELIGHT - broke at the start losing all chance.
Race 10   THANK YOU TREVOR WILKES MOBILE PACE
WESTAR LAD - broke shortly after the start losing ground and hampering a trailing runner. Paced roughly before breaking again rounding the first bend losing further ground.
FRANCO STEFAN - when questioned regarding the improved performance driver B Orange advised the gelding had benefited from the addition of an anti choke device and also by a drop in class from recent racing. He added that the horse had received an economical run throughout close to the pace.
FULL OF DESIRE - driver B Borcoskie reported the removable deafeners were not activated due to the cord becoming entangled.
IT'S A SHAWTHING - weakened leaving the final bend.
ALEXY - held up final bend.
HES SANTAS EXCUSE - hampered by a breaking runner at the start. Held up final bend.
