Stable representative C Dalgety advised Stewards on 24 August that MAJOR ICON has recovered well since last racing with the gelding continuing its current preparation.
Race 8 - CUP WEEK HOSPITALITY ON SALE NOW FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
Trainer J Cox advised Stewards on 24 August that in his opinion FOLKLORE had failed to back up from its previous race and he would look to freshen up the mare.

BETTERTHANDIVA - when questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver B Butt advised the mare had received every opportunity and he could offer no explanation.
ULTIMATE BIRD - over-raced middle stages.
MOVE IT ON OVER - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver Z Butcher. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. The menzel spreader broke during the running.
CAB CALLOWAY - over-raced middle stages.
Race 2   THE BOX SEAT RETURNS 21 SEPTEMBER MOBILE PACE
CORFU BROMAC - checked by a breaking runner leaving the final bend.
SIR MONTY - checked by a breaking runner leaving the final bend.
CRIMSON ROCK - broke leaving the final bend checking trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
HIT THE BEACH - driver R Alfeld admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip free of the rein on one occasion and with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Alfeld's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 23 September 2022 (4 weeks).
RAKAJED - paced roughly shortly after the start having to be steadied. Again paced roughly rounding the first bend and throughout the run home.
BACH - raced wide early. Broke near the 900m when improving wide on the track. Raced wide without cover from the 800m. Lay inwards throughout the run home and was unable to be fully driven out.
TROUBLE SUPREME - raced wide early.
Race 3   CONTINENTAL EVENT HIRE TWO-YEAR-OLD MOBILE PACE
OUTMAZING - weakened leaving the final bend.
FRANCO MECCA - when questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised he was disappointed and could offer no explanation.
CHARLIE BROWN - driver K Newman was warned for looking around unduly in the run home.
Race 4   XCM SPORT - BASIL DEAN FREE-FOR-ALL (MOBILE TROT)
JIMMY CARTER - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
ENGHIEN - over-raced from the 1000m when racing in the parked position.
THE DOMINATOR - weakened final bend hampering trailing runners. When questioned driver C Thornley was at a loss to explain the performance and was very disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a poor recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
MAJESTIC MAN - held up by a weakening runner final bend.
SIOUX PRINCESS - trotted roughly in the run home.
Following this race the track was downgraded to Easy.
Trainer D Williamson advised Stewards on 1 September that THE DOMINATOR has been treated for a virus since last racing.
Race 5   NEVELE R FILLIES SERIES (HEAT 1) MOBILE PACE
STRAIGHT FLUSH - hampered leaving the final bend.
RAKERO REBEL - driver G Smith was issued with a warning for the manner he drove leaving the final bend when crowding an outside runner after attempting to shift ground.
DANNEMORA - late scratching at 9.25am on Veterinary advice.
CLASSIE LINC - over-raced middle stages. Locked wheels with OBSESSION which hung inwards near the 400m. Crowded leaving the final bend by an inside runner having to be steadied.
CHAMBRAY - checked and broke near the 400m.
OBSESSION - hung inwards when improving wide on the track near the 400m and despite the efforts of driver T Williams locked wheels with CLASSIE LINC resulting in trailing runners being checked. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
MONACO GRACE - driver S Ottley admitted a breach of Rule 869(7A)(b) in that she allowed her runner to race inside track markers leaving the final bend when anticipating a run to the inside of RAKERO REBEL. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200.
FIRST ROSE - checked near the 400m.
Race 6   ALLIED SECURITY MAURICE HOLMES VASE (STAND PACE)
HEISENBERG - when questioned regarding the performance driver T Williams advised he was not disappointed considering the strong tempo of the race.
CORRAVALLY STAR - weakened final bend.
HEZA SPORT - broke at the start losing ground.
TERRY - held up final bend by a weakening runner.
MIKEY MAGUIRE - began awkwardly. Weakened final bend.
JOHNNY MAC - tangled away. Over-raced middle stages.
LAVER - the connections advised the gelding has had a wind operation since last racing.
Trainer B Negus advised Stewards on 30 August that CORRAVALLY STAR has been treated for a stone bruise since last racing.
Race 7   TAB NZ - NO DEDUCTIONS, NO SURPRISES HANDICAP TROT
BOURBON ON THE ROCKS - trotted roughly passing the 2100m losing ground.
TAKE AFTER ME - broke near the 1600m losing all chance and was retired from the race. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
CODY BANNER - trotted roughly throughout the run home and lay outwards being unable to be driven out.
IT'S SO EASY - late scratching at 7.20pm on Veterinary advice.
MAGNIFIQUE DIMANCHE - hampered at the start.
FOREIGNER - broke at the start hampering an inside runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
MADELEINE STOWE - trotted roughly before breaking near the 900m losing all chance.
DD'S SUPER STUART - driver C Markham was warned for using his whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
FIGHTING FIRE - trotted roughly and broke near the 400m when improving wide on the track.
Race 8   ALLIED SECURITY- BIG SUPPORTERS OF ADDINGTON MOBILE PACE
FRANCO NORTON - paced roughly on several occasions throughout the running.
WARLOCH - lay inwards throughout the run home.
Race 9   FIRST DIRECT TAXIS MOBILE PACE
TEDS LEGACY - hung outwards in the score up briefly crowding an outside runner.
TAKEMYBREATHAWAY - briefly crowded in the score up. Crowded again racing into the first bend.
FRANK BURNS - driver R May was issued with a warning for crowding an inside runner racing into the first bend. Over-raced early and middle stages.
SPORTY CHARLIE - over-raced middle stages.
