Trainer R Todd advised Stewards on 9 August that blood tests taken from REBOUND had revealed no abnormalities and the gelding would continue with its current preparation.

Trainer M Purvis advised Stewards on 17 August that PEMBROOK'S PRINCESS had recovered well following its last start and he would give consideration to allowing more time for the mare to recover between racing than it had previously.

Trainer M Purvis advised Stewards on 17 August that VIOLET KNIGHT had recovered well from its last start and that he would alter the gelding's training regime prior to resuming.

ROSE ISLE - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
EYRE I WILL - over-raced middle stages.
CIRCUS CIRCUS - the boring pole was removed prior to the start after warming up unfavourably. Trotted roughly final bend losing ground.
STARLIGHT GAZER - broke early in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Weakened final bend.
LENINGRAD - lay outwards at various stages when leading.
GROOVY L'AMOUR - trotted roughly when weakening final bend.
THE FIERY COUNTESS - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Driver A Clark advised the removable deafeners had activated in the score up causing the filly to over-race.
MATTHEW EYRE - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. Stood down to complete one satisfactory mobile trial prior to resuming. Broke near the 1100m losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
Race 2   AVON CITY FORD MOBILE PACE
DANCE TILL DAWN - held up early and middle stages of the run home. Driver J Dunn reported the removable deafeners were not activated in consequence.
RED RIGHT HAND - paced roughly shortly after the start briefly hampering a trailing runner.
FERNZ GOLDY - weakened from the 800m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly had suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance including the results of an ECG prior to resuming.
ARIZONAWILDCAT - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1200m.
MAJOR MEMPHIS - over-raced middle stages.
RITA BONITA - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver G O'Reilly. When questioned regarding this Mr O'Reilly explained that the speed of the mobile had increased markedly in the middle stages of the score up resulting in the mare losing ground and despite his efforts the horse had been unable to regain its position behind the mobile. After reviewing the replays and considering his explanation Stewards took the matter no further.
SEAPRIS - held up early in the run home and again near the 100m. Driver T Williams reported the removable deafeners were not activated in consequence.
MAXIMILIAN - briefly hampered in the early stages having to be steadied after making contact with the sulky wheel of RED RIGHT HAND.
IKSAKA - weakened leaving the final bend.
Race 3   LAMB & HAYWARD MOBILE PACE
HIT THE BEACH - when questioned regarding the performance driver C DeFilippi advised the gelding had worked hard in the early stages with the effort taking its toll. Mr DeFilippi was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
EASTWOOD DREAM - over-raced middle stages. When questioned regarding the performance driver C Thornley was unable to provide any tangible explanation.
CHRISLYNN - broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards confirmed the filly had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages. Trainer K Barron advised Stewards on 4 September that the filly has been treated for a stone bruise since last racing.
MAMMA MIA - over-raced middle stages when in the parked position. Lay in rounding the final bend.
Race 4   SUPPORT THE NZ HORSE AMBULANCE TRUST TROT
GINAS MAJESTY - trotted roughly in the run home.
MUSCLYNN - late scratching at 11am on veterinary advice. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
IT'S SO EASY - broke at the start losing all chance. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
HEAVENLY STRINGS - fractious prior to the start and was back from its position as the start was effected. Briefly hampered as the start was effected. Authorisation of placings was withheld until driver C Thornley had viewed a replay of the start and was satisfied his mare had not been denied a fair start.
GRANNY ROSE - fractious prior to the start and began awkwardly hampering an inside runner.
SKY HIGH FLYER - hampered by a breaking runner near the 200m.
RUSH - broke near the 200m hampering a trailing runner.
TRES MAGNIFIQUE - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Weakened from the 600m.
THE ROYAL GAMBLE - raced wide from the 1000m and without cover from the 700m.
MAJESTIC WHISPER - began awkwardly.
OUR PINOCCHIO - raced wide until reaching the lead near the 1200m.
REINDEER TROUBLE - raced wide with cover from the 1000m.
Stable representative S Thornley advised Stewards on 9 September that THE ROYAL GAMBLE has been treated for a virus since last racing.
Race 5   PAUL RENWICK JOINERY TWO-YEAR-OLD MOBILE PACE
JUDINE - held up final bend.
MYSTIFY ME - held up final bend. Crowded by an outside runner over the concluding stages.
HUTA - hung outwards in the score up and was out of position at the start.
MAJOR ICON - over-raced for a distance near the 1500m when being restrained to obtain a trail. Weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver Z Butcher advised the gelding had over-raced with the effort taking its toll. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
SMOKE ON THE WATER - lay inwards over the concluding stages crowding an inside runner.
CHARLIE BROWN - the connections advised the colt had been gelded since last racing.
Stable representative C Dalgety advised Stewards on 24 August that MAJOR ICON has recovered well since last racing with the gelding continuing its current preparation.
Race 6   HYDROFLOW HANDICAP TROT
MADELEINE STOWE - trotted roughly near the 2100m having to be steadied.
THE FOX - trotted roughly rounding the final bend.
MY MOMENT'S NOW - driver T Williams reported the removable deafeners were not activated due to having the field covered.
MATADEROS - broke near the 1900m losing all chance. Driver J Dunn advised he would be recommending gear changes prior to the gelding resuming.
Race 7   TK PLASTERING MOBILE PACE
MAGIC FOUR - hung outwards throughout the run home.
TIGER TAYLOR - hung inwards leaving the final bend when driver J Morrison attempted to shift the mare wider on the track.
EASTWOOD IDEAL - over-raced early when racing wide on the track.
WHISKEY CAVALIER - over-raced early.
Following this race the track was downgraded to Easy.
Race 8   CUP WEEK HOSPITALITY ON SALE NOW FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
FIRST ROSE - paced roughly rounding the final bend and early in the run home.
AMERICAN EYRETIME - driver C Ferguson was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
SOUNDSOFCASH - driver J Dunn advised the sliding blinds were not activated due to having the field covered.
FOLKLORE - a post-race veterinary examination at the request of trainer/driver J Cox revealed a poor recovery with the mare being treated by the on course Veterinarian. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
CHEEZEL - held up late in the run home.
Trainer B Negus advised Stewards on 20 August that CLASSIE LINC has commenced treatment for a cold since last racing.
Trainer J Cox advised Stewards on 24 August that in his opinion FOLKLORE had failed to back up from its previous race and he would look to freshen up the mare.
Race 9   XCM SPORT MOBILE TROT
BLITHE - weakened rounding the final bend.
HOT TO TROT - over-raced middle stages.
SIOUX PRINCESS - broke early in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
Race 10   FIRST DIRECT TAXIS MOBILE PACE
BEST TRIO - held up final bend and until late in the run home.
MAJOR GNP - late scratching at 1.30pm after being sold.
MOVE IT ON OVER - driver T Williams was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
HES SANTAS EXCUSE - over-raced early when racing wide on the track and was restrained to the rear of the field.
CHANGEAROUND - held up final bend.
APATCHOFGOLD - lay inwards near the 1100m and became awkwardly placed close to the sulky of BEST TRIO.
TALIESIN - the required veterinary clearance was received. The bloomers broke near the 300m and came adrift. This gear was inspected and found to be in previously good condition.
WHITE STAR ORLANDO - raced wide early. Over-raced through the middle stages.
CAB CALLOWAY - raced wide early.
